When a girl's brother has Down syndrome, it’s natural to wonder if she might have a child with Down syndrome as well. While there is an increased risk, it’s not guaranteed. The best step is to undergo premarital genetic testing to understand any potential risks. If the tests indicate a higher risk, consult a doctor to guide you through the next steps. Remember, taking medication before or during pregnancy won’t eliminate the risk of having a baby with Down syndrome. For personalized guidance, speak with a gynecologist.

Im 33 year old lady had my period the 4-6 august on Friday the 16 august had a brown with little blood discharge then i took a pregnancy test and it was positive on Saturday started spot bleeding on Sunday with cramps then its start with pinch pain on the right side of my stomach
Female | 33
The brown discharge and a positive pregnancy test can mean that you are pregnant in the early stages. The spot bleeding and cramps could be due to either implantation or normal hormonal fluctuations. Additionally, it may be a cyst or muscle strain that you feel a pinch of pain on the right side. It's best to keep well hydrated, take enough rest, and watch the development of your symptoms. If the pain becomes unbearable or does not subside, consult a gynecologist for a proper diagnosis.

I missed my period on 14 th feb. I met my husband on 3rd feb. Still I'm not getting period sir What actually issue??
Female | 27
If you have missed your period after intercourse, it is important to take a pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy as a possible cause of delayed period. If the test is negative, then other factors such as stress, hormonal imbalances, or underlying medical conditions may be the cause. It is recommended to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment.

Female | 26
There are quite a few factors that can influence your menstrual cycle, such as stress, changes in hormones, or making lifestyle adjustments. A late period is not always an indication of pregnancy, but it is a possibility to think about. I suggest you take a home pregnancy test if your coming period still does not occur so that you can be clearer about your situation. If there is still a lack of clarity or if you are worried, you should consult a gynecologist. They can offer professional advice and assistance that will cater to your unique needs.

I want to asking about my pregnancy
Female | 18
Pregnancy can bring various physical and emotional changes, such as fatigue, nausea, and mood swings. These symptoms arise due to hormonal fluctuations and your body adjusting to support the growing baby. Staying hydrated, eating small meals, and resting can help alleviate discomfort. Regular prenatal care is essential for monitoring your health and your baby's. If you experience severe or persistent symptoms, contacting your gynecologist is advisable for tailored advice and reassurance.

3 months period late pregnancy test is negative but stomach growing and lower belly pain or hard
Female | 24
If your period is 3 months late and the pregnancy test is negative, but your stomach is growing and you have pain or hardness in the lower belly, it could be a case of pseudocyesis. Pseudocyesis is the thing when the body shows all the signs of pregnancy even though there is no baby. Other causes can be constipation or stomach bloating. To find out what's going on, it is essential to visit a gynecologist for a thorough evaluation. They can find out what is causing your symptoms and suggest the best treatment.

I am 22 year old girl, with height 5'3 and weight 60kg. I had my 2 months delayed periods on 15th August which too lasted only for 2 days while normally they lasts for 6-7 days. I am gaining weight, my breasts and lower belly are increasing. This month too my periods have yet not arrived and since few 2-3 days I am getting white water problem.
Female | 22
You may be encountering some hormonal adjustments. Gaining weight, experiencing shifts in the menstrual cycle, and suffering from a whitish water issue could be because of hormonal imbalance, stress, and even a change of diet. Be sure to eat well, exercise, and practice stress management. Go to the gynecologist for a check-up. They are the right person to help you identify the exact cause and recommend the treatment that works for you.

Why my period lasting for too long
Female | 20
Is your period lasting too long? If it's over 7 days, hormonal changes could be the cause. Stress, poor diet, and health issues can also play a role. Heavy bleeding and feeling tired are common signs. Eating nutritious foods, managing stress, and getting proper rest may help regulate your cycle. However, if the issue persists, it's important to see a gynecologist for personalized advice.

You might have pelvic organ prolapse, specifically cervix descent. This happens when pelvic muscles weaken. Symptoms: feeling pressure in the vagina, bulge, trouble inserting menstrual cups. See a gynecologist to diagnose it properly. Treatment options include pelvic floor exercises or surgery.

Gaining weight during periods
Female | 20
Your period brings a bit of weight gain. That's normal. You retain extra water. You feel bloated and heavier. Drink lots of water. Avoid salty foods. That helps reduce water retention. Do light exercises. Eat a balanced diet. These steps can manage the temporary weight gain.

I had my last period on 10th January 2024. We are trying for baby. We had unprotected sex on 13th, 31st January and 1st February. Today morning I did urine test but result was negative. Am I pregnant or not? Because I'm having food cravings and extreme mood swings.
Female | 31
According to your last period date and unprotected sex, it might be that you are pregnant. On the other hand, a negative urine test cannot guarantee non-pregnancy. To confirm your pregnancy I would suggest consulting a gynecologist.

I’m 21 years old female I have pid and have been using ofloxacin to cure it since last three months I bought one this month and it didn’t work for me Can I use metronidazole to treat pid
Female | 21
It is important to visit the doctor if you are experiencing any of the following pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) symptoms, such as; pelvic pain, high body temperature, and unusual discharge. If ofloxacin does not cure you, I suggest you not replace it with metronidazole, as PID usually needs a variety of drugs to be healed properly, without first consulting a doctor. I advise that you make an appointment with your gynecologist to discuss the symptoms and find the most suitable approach. This can only be achieved through timely management and regular health checks by PID.

There can be different reasons for this problem, such as stress, weight gain, or hormonal imbalances. The color, time taken, and amount of blood during menstruation are early indicators of a possible imbalance in your body. You should first and foremost dedicate an appropriate period to stress reduction and eat a balanced diet. Also, be sure to get regular exercise. Visit a gynecologist to get proper treatment.

I wanted to delay my periods for 3 days so I started taking premoult n tablet 1 day before the estimated period Date but the next day I got my period and still continuing the tablet What to do tp stop and delay the period
Female | 23
Waiting for the menstruation to show up using the Premoult N tablet might not always produce the aimed effect. A gynecologist recommended doing a clinical examination to establish the origin of the irregularity of the period and discuss a treatment plan that is relevant to the disorder.

If your tubes are tied, the chances of becoming pregnant are significantly reduced. However, it's important to note that no contraceptive method is 100% effective. If you are experiencing symptoms take a pregnancy test to confirm.
