I'm 17 years old girl and I have bloating for past 6 days and I had experienced abdominal pain, cramps like menstruation but I don't have menstruation that time, and I had fever, what should I do? Why I have this?
Female | 17
Based on what you've shared, the bloating, cramps, and fever could be due to an intestinal infection, making you feel unwell. Drink plenty of water, rest, and try light foods like plain rice or toast. If your symptoms continue, it's best to visit a gastroenterologist for proper treatment.

I loose my appetite for days and some times weeks. I tend to think I don’t eat that much naturally. I feel there are phlegms within my throat. I salivate a lot during those periods. At times too I eat a lot and have the urge to eat more (but this don’t last long).
Male | 32
You could be having some digestive problems. When you don’t feel like eating and your mouth waters more than usual as well as feeling that you have phlegm in your throat; it might mean that there is heartburn or indigestion. These conditions can cause discomfort when one eats food. To relieve the symptoms, attempt to eat small but frequent meals throughout the day; avoid spicy or greasy foods, and ensure that your body remains hydrated at all times. If these signs persist then seek medical attention from a gastroenterologist for further diagnosis as well as treatment options.

On 11/4/2023 there was sudden onset of burning pain and heaviness in my lower abdomen/pelvic area. Soon after I developed a fever (that lasted about 8 hours) headache and nausea. The following day I began having diarrhea, however I had my gall bladder remover a couple years ago and my BMs are not very consistent. So this is day 4 and I still have pain diarrhea and nausea along with a loss of appetite(which is very unusual for me) I also thought I should shar that I had a total hysterectomy and oophorectomy in 2020 (Laparoscopic)
Female | 46
From your symptom, you may have a GI infection. One can consult a gastroenterologist or any general physician to receive proper diagnosis and treatment. For now, ensure that you stay hydrated and avoid the spicy food. In case the symptoms aggravate, see a doctor quickly.

Hello Doctor, 2 calculi of size12.4mm and 7.3mm have been noted in gal bladder one in fundus and other in neck respectively in ultrasound. I am having issue of pain in abdomen and back and nausea and headache. After the results of ultrasound what will be further treatment required. And also want to know if still endoscopy is required after detection in ultrasound?
Female | 33
Based on the ultrasound results, it seems that you have gallstones in your gallbladder, which is causing abdominal and back pain, nausea, and headache. And endoscopy is not required to diagnose or treat gallstones. But in some cases, an endoscopic ultrasound is used to get a better view of the gallbladder and surrounding structures. I recommend consulting with a gastroenterologist or a surgeon for further evaluation and treatment options.

Piles, or hemorrhoids, can be very painful, especially if they’ve been bothering you for 6 months. You should see a doctor, preferably a gastroenterologist or a general surgeon, who can help you with proper treatment and advice.

Male | 34
Anal fissures are hemorrhoids, that can trigger such symptoms as pain, itching, and bleeding. Usually, they are caused by straining during bowel movements, which can be due to constipation or because the person sits for extended periods. Try to ingest more fiber, drink much more water, and try not to strain or push when passing into the toilet. You can use topical creams. But if the symptoms persist you can consult a gastroenterologist.

Am Sam I have malaria and on malaria drug but now feeling stomach upset when trying to eat and seriously loose appetite
Male | 28
It’s normal to get a tummy ache and not feel like eating when you’re on antimalarial medication. These medicines may sometimes bother your stomach. Remember to continue taking them, but try to ease the discomfort by consuming small and soft meals. Drinking fluids such as water or tea frequently could also be helpful. Should the symptoms persist, consult your doctor for further assistance.

These symptoms can be linked to food intolerances, stress, or gut infections. To identify triggers, try keeping a food diary to track which foods cause your symptoms. Eat small portions and drink plenty of water. If the symptoms continue, it's best to consult a gastroenterologist.

Hi, I am a healthy 54 year old male. I have been doing some routine annual lab tests near my home, where they do comprehensive labs for check-up. I have been doing it for several years, and everything is basically normal. However, I just received a lab result, CA 19-9, which is elevated (44), normal is below 34. I actually had this lab test CA 19-9 way back in 7/2022, when the level was 12 (normal). Then I had it in annual testing on 9/2023, and it was 25 (but within normal limits). In the past 6-12 months, I have had normal lactate and amylase levels too. Also, all my other blood test from yesterday were normal, including liver function test (and normal bilirubin), normal CBC, normal CEA level, normal amylase, normal sedimentation rate, normal TSH, normal blood chemistry. Of note, I also had a normal DNA stool test (cologuard) 3 years ago. I also had normal FIT stool test 2 months ago, and also last year (twice it was normal). I have no symptoms and no weight loss, and no signs of jaundice. I am not overweight either, and I do not smoke nor drink alcohol. And no one in my family has had cancer before. As I mentioned, this was incidental, but I would like to know your opinion if this is ominous, and next steps. I have schedule a full body MRI scan for next week too. Thank you.
Male | 54
An increase in the level of CA 199 causes an alarm. You will get the most thorough examination if you consult a specialist. However, because CA 199 levels can be associated with certain gastrointestinal conditions, you may want to make an appointment with a gastroenterologist as well.

Sometimes, taking esomeprazole and domperidone together may lead to headaches, dizziness, or abdominal discomfort. Carefully following your doctor's guidance is crucial. Inform them promptly if any new or worsening symptoms arise. Take medications precisely on schedule. Don't hesitate to contact your gastroenterologist should concerns arise.

Hi sorry.i suffer with gas /h pylori.i have been having chest pain all week not sharp .I drink alot of water and burps.at night my left arm and lower leg at times feel norm. Sometimes I get head aches to the back of my head. Sometime stiffness in my lower neck
Female | 45
Being in a situation with gas and H. pylori could be very tough for you. The chest pain, burping, arms and legs sensations, headaches, and stiffness of the neck may be due to this. Sometimes, gas may cause chest discomfort and it may spread to the other parts of the body. Water drinking is good! Treatment can include medication to reduce the acid and antibiotics to fight with H. pylori. Rest, eat small meals, and try to stay away from spicy foods.

My husband prolapsed his rectum many weeks ago, I believe it's an internal prolapse, but it is external too. He's having a lot of issues. Constipation, gas (all day every day), trouble with urinating, always feels like he needs to go to the bathroom. He has had bleeding before. As well as sexual dysfunction. He has seen a GI dr but they did not do an exam and check him. He's gone to the er for this one time, and they also did not do an exam. He will literally spend 2 hours in the bathroom, multiple times per day, Yelling, crying, and in pain. If I take him to the er will they even help him? What would/could/should they do?
Male | 40
From what I gather, your husband might have a serious rectum problem known as rectal prolapse. This might give way to a number of annoying symptoms including constipation, gas, urination problems, frequent toilet visits, bleeding, and sexual dysfunction. He must first obtain the best medical assistance. The ER or gastroenterologist should perform a physical examination and may even recommend treatments such as surgery to repair the prolapse.

Female | 31
The symptoms might be related to the drug such as cramps, muscle spasms, headache, and feeling sick. Some drugs can cause such issues at times. You must inform your physician about these signs. They may prescribe a different medication or adjust the dose to minimize these side effects. Do not discontinue the drug until you have consulted your doctor.

Gas formation, bloating heaviness after meal ie. Post meal fullness.please suggest remedy.
Male | 65
It looks like you're experiencing gas, bloating, and a feeling of fullness after eating. This could be due to eating too quickly, swallowing air, or consuming foods that are hard to digest. To reduce these symptoms, try eating more slowly, avoid fizzy drinks, and include probiotic foods like yogurt in your diet. Drinking peppermint tea might also help soothe your stomach.

I have stomach pain and visit doctor and take medicine but I can't feel better
Female | 23
Different things such as indigestion, gastritis, or infections can cause stomach pains. When you go back to your doctor this time you let the doctor know that what they gave you last time did not work. The doctor might need to run more tests so they can find out what’s happening and give you something that’ll make you feel better.

I have throat burning sensation since 2 months and not able to take spicy sour food …
Female | 34
You've been feeling a burning sensation in your throat for 2 months, which could be due to acid reflux. This happens when stomach acid comes back up into the food pipe, irritating the throat. It's a good idea to avoid spicy and sour foods for now. Try eating smaller meals, avoid lying down right after eating, and raise the head of your bed slightly. Drinking plenty of water might also help. If the symptoms don't improve, it would be wise to visit a gastroenterologist for further examination and treatment options.
