Early pregnancy symptoms such as headaches, weakness, and tiredness may occur due to hormonal changes. However, these symptoms could also result from stress or lack of sleep. To determine if you are pregnant, take a home pregnancy test. Remember to rest, eat healthily, and stay hydrated. If symptoms persist, see a gynecologist for support and guidance.

Girlfriend had sperm on her hand and accidentally touched her vagina on the surface right after washing her hands with tap water. She said her hand was still sticky like.. is there chance of pregnancy. she was on her safe days too.
Female | 19
I would like to tell you not to worry that you will get pregnant under these circumstances. Sperm is vitally short-lived in the wild and the probability of it getting into the vagina and fertilizing the egg is negligible. Although in most cases this should pose no alarm, if you have any atypical symptoms or worries, you should consult a gynecologist for a professional checkup and advice.

Recently i’ve been actively having unprotected sex and i was supposed to start my period two days ago it never came but i’ve been cramping and discharging a lot i took a pregnancy test and it was negative
Female | 16
You did the right thing by taking a pregnancy test. Periods can be irregular due to stress or diet changes, causing delays. Cramping and discharge may occur before periods start. If you're still concerned, take another test after a few days. Remember to practice safe sex to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

My periods was delay for 2 months today morning I checked my pregnancy test the result was negative may I know the reason why I got negative.i have thyroid level is 3.54
Female | 29
It's quite usual for one to be worried in cases where a period is missed especially when the pregnancy tests done are negative. Consequently, thyroid levels may sometimes affect your menstrual cycle. When the levels are up to 3.54, they do not pose much danger though they could still result in irregular periods. Also, stress, weight changes, and hormonal imbalances can lead to this irregularity too. However, you need not worry about this stage if it stops here but should see a gynecologist if it persists.

Recently I had sex with my boyfriend, at that time I got small amount of blood and some uneasiness and I pee a lot recently. Now, today is my monthly day but I only got brown discharge and don't have appetite. Is there any complications with this ?
Female | 21
A small amount of blood after sex may be due to irritation, and frequent peeing could be from an infection. Brown discharge might be old blood from the uterine walls, and decreased appetite could be from hormonal changes. Drink plenty of water, rest, and see a gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment.

Having periods after 11 days of intercourse.... Any chances of pregnancy?
Female | 17
If you've experienced periods even after 11 days of intercourse, it is still likely that you are pregnant. For example, in some cases, early pregnancy bleeding can be misrepresented as the period. Among these may be light bleeding or spotting. One of the causes of this can be the implantation or hormone changes. One of the first things to do if you think you might be pregnant is to buy a home pregnancy test a few days after your missed period. If you are bothered by it, seeking feedback from a gynecologist can still be an option.

Light bleeding is normal, especially early in pregnancy. Hormones and implantation cause it. But, watch for other symptoms like severe pain or heavy bleeding. If these happens, contact your gynecologist immediately.

Getting periods too close together is that normal?
Female | 30
If your periods are too frequent it may be a symptom of an underlying condition such as hormonal disorders, thyroid disorder or polycystic ovary syndrome( PCOS). It is recommended that a gynecologist be consulted to assess and treat.

I am trying to conceive. My age is 43 and weight is 46 . My full body checkup is normal. My prolactin level is 34.30 and amh is 3.9. my uterus is bulky without any fibroid or cyst. My left ovary has pcod and right ovary is normal. I want to know can I conceive.
Female | 43
At the age of 43, there will be a natural decline in fertility but having an AMH level of 3.9 means there is still a fair chance to get pregnant. It may be a little bit difficult because of PCOD on the left ovary but with one normal ovary being on the right this should give some hope. You should talk to a gynecologist about different methods of treatment that can help you become pregnant.

I am 28 female. I had no periods from November 2023 to january 2024. I consulted a gynaecologist for the treatment. I have PCOD and weigh 75. I am tring to loose weight. Currently I am on Harmoni F (which I should take on the 5th day of my period)medication. But now i have 2 days of period and it had stopped. What should i do. Should I take regestrone (prescribed by gynaecologist to take to induce period)?
Female | 28
It is normal for women with PCOD to have irregular periods. However, if you have only been menstruating for two days after commencing treatment with Harmoni F, then there is no cause for alarm. Your system might require some time to get used to this medicine. In such situations, Regestrone is usually prescribed for inducing menses. Additionally, concentrate on eating balanced meals and engaging in physical activities to lose weight because it can aid in controlling PCOD signs.

Dry vagina. 23 years. On and off on contraceptive. Had regular but now irregular periods. Burning vagina after sex. Married
Female | 23
You might deal with vaginal dryness: an issue where the vagina lacks moisture. This condition may cause pain, burning, and discomfort during intercourse. Potential reasons are hormone changes from birth control pills or irregular menstrual cycles. Using a water-based lubricant during sex could ease the irritation. Drinking plenty of fluids and consulting a gynecologist for advice are recommended steps.

I'm on depo vera and haven't been on my periods for months, yet this month I got heavy bleeding for a week and after that I've been getting brown discharge for a month now, I get random period pains and sometimes nausea
Female | 20
You seem to experience changes with your menstrual cycle while using Depo Vera. Heavy bleeding followed by brown discharge and random cramps could happen due to hormonal imbalance. This is something that can occur with hormonal contraceptives. Nausea might also be related to this. It would be wise to discuss these symptoms with your gynecologist. They might make adjustments to your birth control method to help regulate your period.

I am a 23 year old female. I have been having my period for 9 days now with sharp pains on my lower tummy and down there, what can be an issue?
Female | 23
The sharp aches in your lower belly could mean endometriosis. This happens when the uterus lining grows outside, causing pain and heavy flow. Seeing a gynecologist is key for diagnosis and treatment.
