Reducing Sexual Arousal: Medication Options
I want to decrease my sexual arousal. Is there any medication for that?

Sexologist
Answered on 29th Nov '24
Yes, there are MEDICATIONS to decrease sexual arousal. These medications are called anti-androgens. They work by blocking the effects of testosterone and reducing libido. But without discussing your other hhealth issues it is not possible to prescribe any medicine here as these medications can have side effects and may not be appropriate for everyone. Other methods for decreasing sexual arousal include therapy, meditation, and physical exercise. Remember, it's natural to have sexual feelings, but it's important to control them in appropriate ways..

Overflow of sperm while sleeping
Male | 25
For some people, involuntary discharge during sleep can be a normal thing, which is often called nocturnal emissions. This usually happens while you are asleep and the body releases sperm, usually associated with sexual thoughts or arousal. These could be due to the fluctuation of hormones, sexual activities, or simply because of the natural mechanism of the body. To cope with this, think about sleeping regularly and not worrying too much about things. If it bothers you, you might benefit from talking to a sexologist who can advise you specifically.

I'm 18 years old. I have a bad habit. Which is masturbation... I do it regularly almost. Now my ejaculation time is 3-4 mins. And I'm thinking my penis is getting shorter
Male | 18
It is quite common for young adults to explore their bodies and masturbation, in general, does not cause physical harm. A sudden orgasm can be triggered by things such as anxiety or excitement rather than physical changes. The issue of size is usually related to mistaken beliefs, but it is important to mention that small discrepancies in size are perfectly normal. To increase control, visualization exercises are a great option instead of relaxation or even pelvic floor exercises. In case you are very troubled by these problems, I suggest you visit a sexologist who will give you personalized therapy and help.

Hi my girlfriend had licked my penis, though I hadn’t ejaculated but I suspect I had pre cummed, then she kissed me and she licked my fingers and fingered her, will this make her pregnant???
Male | 17
I get your fear but I can tell you now that your girlfriend can’t get pregnant from what you’ve said. For pregnancy to occur, sperm needs to fertilize an egg which usually happens during unprotected sex. There might be a small number of sperm in pre-cum but the likelihood of conception taking place in the situation that was explained is very minimal. It would be best if both of you do not want any STIs or pregnancies, and use condoms or any other forms of protection available.

I am 18 yrs old boy and doing masturbation alot nd now I have doubts regarding my sexual performance as I'm facing PE. Suggest me some solution.
Male | 18
It's common to wonder about sexual performance, particularly if you've been engaging in masturbation quite often. Fast termination during sexual intercourse is called premature ejaculation (PE). The symptoms of PE are being unable to command when you ejaculate. Too much masturbation can be a reason for PE. Reduce the frequency of masturbation- practice methods of delaying ejaculation like the start-stop method, and- communicate honestly about your worries despite finding this advice difficult.

I am 22 year old. I have sex( physical relationship) with my partner. I have done 2 rounds but I relief my spump out side. Can she get pregnant?
Male | 22
Yes, it is possible for her to become pregnant even if you didn’t ejaculate inside her completely. There are still sperm in pre-cum that can result in pregnancy. If she has symptoms such as a missed period, feeling sick or throwing up a lot, or her breasts being sore and tender – then it is possible that she may be pregnant. To avoid this, use protection every time you have sex.

Knowledge about intercourse. Can u help me.
Female | 29
Sexuality is an umbrella term for numerous types of experiences, among which both the physical and emotional are important. From sharing our discomfort to ease and fun factors in the pages What More Can a Body Be, we learn that some concerns include pelvic and abdominal pain, urinary problems, psychosocial stress such as anxiety, or social questions which add to the discomfort. Negative feelings can come from some of these negative cases that may result from a lack of knowledge, being unprepared, or more importantly havingsome underlying health issues. In order to achieve happiness in a sexual life, the male should have the power to make the decisions only to himself inside the bounds of self-care and self-discipline, without the control of either his partner or some other person.

I’m 14 and lately when I masturbate I get really severe headaches and I can’t do it
Male | 14
This can happen because of the sudden increase in blood pressure, muscle tension, or changes in hormones during the activity. To help lessen these headaches, you might try taking it slower, using techniques to relax, or turning your body to a different position. If the headaches still annoy you, it's a good idea to talk about this with a doctor.

Hello mam .please help me . I'm in a helpless situation. I'm unmarried. On oct 24th there was an intercourse which includes no vaginal penetration no ejaculation no direct contact of genital parts. But it includes rubbing of anal region with penis. What is the chance of pregnancy with this act. Later on Nov 8th and Dec 6th she got her periods and they look like normal flow last for 3 days. A urine pregnancy test was done out of my curiosity on Dec 30 in the evening showed clear negative. Again on Jan 3rd she had periods but I don't know whether they are true menstrual periods. I'm worried about cryptic pregnancy. I can't even concentrate on any thing. Please give clarity on this.
Male | 20
Based on your description, the chances of pregnancy from the activities you mentioned are extremely low, especially since there was no vaginal penetration or ejaculation. The normal menstrual cycles you’ve noted, along with a negative pregnancy test, suggest that pregnancy is unlikely. Cryptic pregnancies are rare, but if you're feeling uncertain, it's best to consult a sexologist for reassurance and any further evaluation. They can provide clarity and support tailored to your needs.

Hi, I have been facing some issues in my sex life. We had couple of difficult experiences while having penetration previously, so we took a break from it and switched to oral and other forms of stimulation and we were enjoying it as well. But now we wanted do penetrative sex again, and when we tried we failed, as I have got pretty scared and meanwhile he lost his erection and wasn't completely hard on, so the experience wasn't good. How can we fix this? Also, I feel even if we stop being fearful about it, we are sometimes unable to find the hole, sometimes the vagina gets too dry to allow the penis in, and then it gets frustrating. Also, being on top is something that I am absolutely scared of, first I am not sure if my posture is correct to take it ahead, second I am fumble a lot to find the hole, even tho I know where it is exactly. My vagina expands a lot when fingering happens, even with three fingers, but I assume there is some issue with penis penetration. Please help.
Female | 28
It’s common to feel anxious about penetration after difficult experiences. Issues like dryness can affect comfort, so consider using a water-based lubricant to help. Gradual reintroduction to penetration in a relaxed setting may build confidence. Practicing different positions, including on top, can help you feel more in control; communication with your partner is key. If anxiety persists, it might be beneficial to speak with a sexologist who can offer personalized strategies and support tailored to your needs.

Hello. Please answer me and give clarity. I'm in a helpless situation. On oct 24th there was an intercourse which includes no vaginal penetration ,no ejaculation,no direct contact of penis and vagina but it includes rubbing of penis around anal region. I can say the penis was dry . After that on Nov 8th or 9th she got her periods with normal flow. And again on Dec 6th she got her periods. On Dec 27th she did a urine pregnancy test out of my curiosity and it showed clear negative. Again on Jan 3rd she had periods which seemed to be normal flow and lasted for 3 days . Is there still any chance of pregnancy in this case. I'm soo worried by seeing some of the internet articles where a women did not noticed her pregnancy upto 6 months and some said they had bleeding during their pregnency. Plz help me.she is just 20.
Female | 20
It's understandable to feel anxious, but based on the details you provided, the risk of pregnancy is very low. The absence of vaginal penetration, no ejaculation, and normal menstrual cycles (including periods after the incident) strongly indicate that she is likely not pregnant. Urine tests performed after missed periods are typically reliable. While some women experience bleeding during pregnancy, it often differs from a regular menstrual flow. Consulting a gynecologist can provide reassurance and clarity tailored to her situation if concerns persist.

i had intimacy with boyfriend just after 8 day of end of menstruation...he just rubbed his penis over my vagina for 3-4 min...later on i just washed out vagina...this month period got missed and i had high fever cold..is there pregnancy chance?
Female | 23
It's understandable to feel concerned about a missed period, especially after intimate contact. The rubbing you described generally poses a low risk for pregnancy, especially if there was no penetration. Factors like stress, illness, or changes in routine can also affect menstrual cycles. The fever and cold might indicate your body is responding to something other than pregnancy. To be certain about your condition, it’s best to take a home pregnancy test or consult a gynecologist. They can provide personalized advice and address any ongoing symptoms.

im 14 years old, and after i masturbated i noticed a mole on my face getting bigger, my vision's getting worse, im getting way tired than usual, everything's being bad for me and i'm trying to stop this addiction. we all know that masturbation can affect hormonal changes, so how can reverse the side effects of masturbation and shrink the mole due to masturbation? please be detailed, thank you for your valuable time reading this.
Male | 40
Masturbating itself won't make moles bigger. Moles change naturally over time, apart from habits. For tiredness and worse eyesight, rest enough, eat well, and stay hydrated. If overwhelmed, talk to an adult or counselor.

This could be due to stress, anxiety, relationship issues, or even physical problems like low testosterone or diabetes. Symptoms may include trouble getting or maintaining an erection. To fix this, it's essential to work on stress reduction, openly communicating with your partner, a balanced diet, and regular exercise. Regular health check-ups with a sexologist can also discover any underlying health diseases.
