Young ladies often experience a thick, whitish discharge - that's normal. The amount and consistency vary depending on your menstrual cycle. This discharge keeps your vagina healthy; it's natural, so no treatment is needed. However, if you notice a strong odor, itchiness, or irritation, consult a gynecologist. Maintain good hygiene and wear cotton underwear for comfort.

i was on antibiotics a few days ago and i should have my period in 3 days time. note that i am on bc pill. i was having abdominal cramps and lots of bloating and feeling nauseated. i have experienced pink discharge 2 days ago (which i usually have before my period starts) and now when i poop i have blood coming out my vagina (which looked like when i have my period). not sure if it is a type of discharge, but it looks more like period blood. however during the night i do not bleed at all and not even now. what is happening?
Female | 20
You may experience irregular vaginal bleeding. This can occur when taking birth control pills along with antibiotics. Antibiotics could affect how the pills work, causing unexpected bleeding. The pink discharge and bleeding during bowel movements might relate to this. If bleeding persists or worsens, consult your gynecologist promptly.

My wife periods are late for 6 days
Female | 20
I recommend that your wife goes to a gynecological specialist for assessment of her reason why the menstrual cycle is delayed. Late periods may be caused because of pregnancy, hormonal imbalances related to stress or by some other medical complications. The diagnosis will allow a gynecologist to offer the necessary guidance and treatment.

You have been experiencing low burning, and discharging clear, whitish-yellow which are the likely symptoms of yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis that you have because of candida the yeast that naturally resides in the vagina or bacteria. Moreover, the itching and burning might be because of carrying microorganisms that might be harmful. Water is essential, and you should visit a gynecologist for the best treatment.

I had my periods on 2 Feb and took ipill on 17 Feb after protected sex , just to be on safe side . On 29 February, I noticed some bleeding, mostly blood clots with cramps . What does this mean ?
Female | 21
When you take an emergency pill, bleeding or spotting can happen. This is normal. The bleeding with clots and cramps on February 29th could be from the pill. These symptoms are usually not dangerous but may change your period timing. Be good to yourself. Rest and drink lots of water. If bleeding continues heavily, talk to a gynecologist.

Why I m getting uti after every periods. I have completed antibiotic coarse 3 times . But again it comes back. I got 3 times uti within 4 months
Female | 34
You're dealing with frequent UTIs after your period. Bacteria cause UTIs by entering your bladder. You might feel pain or burning when urinating. You may need to pee often and urine may look cloudy. After menstrual flow, bacteria can enter the bladder more easily. Drink plenty of water. Pee after sexual activity. Wear cotton underpants. These steps can help prevent UTIs.

Why is my period 2 days late? Last intercourse was on day 7 of my 27-29 days cycle
Female | 23
There is not always something that can be wrong just by a couple of days of late periods. On the other hand, occasionally these spottings might come along as a symptom of pelvic pain or heavy bleeding at which time the advice of a gynecologist should be sought.

hi i just got an abortion 2 weeks ago and some round tissue filled with liquid inside comes out of my vagina. i dont know what it is and i dont know if my abortion is successful.
Female | 23
The tissue filled with liquid is likely a clot or tissue from the abortion. Some discharge happens as your body heals. If you feel okay otherwise, it may just be part of getting back to normal. But if you have pain, fever, or heavy bleeding, tell your gynecologist to make sure it's not an issue.

I had sex on my period and 2 days later I saw a huge strange shaped bloodclot
Female | 24
Blood clots during your period are common, especially after sex. The flow may get clotted, with varying shapes and sizes. This is typically normal, not alarming. Clots can look odd, yet still be regular. However, severe pain, heavy bleeding, or unusual symptoms require medical attention. Contact a gynecologist if this occurs.

I am a 20 year old girl. My menstrual cycle started on the 2nd of the previous month. But since then I'm getting less and less priods every day. It would be better to tell why this is happening??
Female | 20
It seems you are going through some changes in your periods, which may happen for different reasons. The most common way is through stress, which not only disrupts the hormones in your body but can also ultimately affect your cycle. Other reasons may be the lifestyle changes that you need, such as diet or exercise. Be sure to treat yourself right and eat the right foods, keep your body in shape, and be wary of stress. Schedule an appointment with your gynecologist if the irregular menstruation continues or if you have other issues.

What if blood starts coming out of the body again a week after the period?
Female | 16
A good method of expressing your concern is to take a monthly calendar along with you and record whenever an irregularity is apparent and any other symptoms that are also connected with them. For that purpose, go to a healthcare specialist and demand personalized recommendations. They may even conduct additional tests. They can provide the own relief that emanates from your getting the proper answers, plus if testing is required they can order such tests. Help-seeking encourages individuals to understand themselves better which is a positive step that they can take to lead a healthy life.

Female | 27
The spotting you are having may be indicative of hormonal imbalance. You should get plenty of healthy food and include regular workouts into your daily routine so as to control your period flow. The most important thing is you will reduce your stress level. If the problem does not go away, it is imperative to consult a gynecologist.

Hi Docs in the house. My enquiry is about my wife. After Abdominal Partial hysterectomy (Horizontal) surgery, if one notices an inflammation around the extreme right end of the suture (underneath) after 4-5weeks, won't this scenario require a scan to know the cause
Female | 46
The surgical suture of your wife has inflammation at the right end which is a typical thing after surgery. The inflammation might be an infection or irritation. Symptoms can be described as redness, warmth, swelling, and pain at the site. Have a scan to check the cause. Treatment might consist of antibiotics or further care from her gynecologist.

I want to know if my hymen is still intact
Female | 17
I suggest that you make an appointment to see a gynecologist who will be able to look at your hymen and tell if it is intact or not. However, it is important to remember that the presence or absence of a hymen is not the only factor in determining virginity since several factors can lead to the hymen tearing or not being present.

Periods related problems
Female | 24
Living with issues resulting from menstrual health is quite common and may be experienced in the form of a period that is not regular, painful cramping, or heavy bleeding. To deal with the symptoms, it is suggested to keep track of your cycle, exercise relaxation techniques, and maintain a proper diet along with exercise. Besides this, OTC (over-the-counter) analgesic drugs could also be used to ease pain. If symptoms persist you can consult a gynecologist.

I have two times of period last march and then for april until now i missed my periods, i also take some pregnancy test and it says negative, what happened why i missed my period?
Female | 19
It’s normal to miss a period even if the pregnancy test says negative. Being nervous or having hormonal issues can make people miss their periods. Have you been under pressure lately or gained or lost some weight? If you have, that might be why you didn’t get your period. I would suggest that you keep an eye on your symptoms and go see a gynecologist if this continues to happen to you.
