Why no periods at 21?
I'm 21 year old girl and I have no periods till at the age of 21 and I have reports which shows that the size of my egg is like a egg in a new born baby so what I should do
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 21st Aug '24
Not having periods at 21 can happen for different reasons. If the size of your egg is small, it might be a condition called premature ovarian insufficiency. Symptoms may include no periods, hot flashes, and dryness in the private parts. It is important to visit a gynecologist who can suggest suitable treatment.

I am 26 year old Female. My periods are 7 days late
Female | 26
If your period is 7 days late, don't panic. It could occur because of several reasons such as stress, variations in weight, or hormonal disorders. Other symptoms include, for example, bloating and breast tenderness. To get back on track you should try to relax, eat well, and get good sleep. If this situation persists or you have concerns, notify a gynecologist to see if you can get some advice.

I missed my period. Last i had on 17 march but still didn't. Stomach is paining sometime. Stress level also increased plus Traveling and my climate change as well is it bcz of these?
Female | 25
It may be that the stress differences, traveling as well as climate that you underwent may have played a role in that late coming of your period. Although this may indirectly implicate a possible medical condition, you have to make sure that you see a gynecologist to rule out any probable medical conditions.

Hi I have taken pregnancy tests and they’ve come back negative.. I have irregular periods but within the last week I’ve noticed my boobs have gotten harder, my lower tummy is tender and hard, I’ve had awful mood swings and I’m very emotional, and I’m always hungry
Female | 25
Symptoms you may be experiencing can be due to hormonal changes, which may not be indicative of pregnancy. An irregular period can cause the hormone levels to fluctuate, leading to tender breasts, bloating, and mood swings. Stress, diet, and lack of exercise can also be the reasons why your body is affected this way. Try managing stress, eating healthy, and gentle exercise to help balance your hormones.

Hi Doc, good evening. Please am a student and in a relationship I don't want to get pregnant now, I have been taking contraceptives and I want to stop. Please I need a solution I want to settle down in 2years time
Female | 31
When stopping contraceptives, your body might take time adjusting before pregnancy's possible. Irregular periods are normal for a bit. If avoiding pregnancy's desired, consider alternative birth control like condoms.

I have whites discharge mixed light blood past 2 days today I have mild bleeding morning Evening light heavy bleeding but not pain i have
Female | 24
Some discharge is common, but mixing with blood could signal an issue. Morning's mild bleeding and tonight's heavier flow, though painless, demand attention. Infections, hormone shifts, or cervical problems — the causes vary. Visiting a gynecologist is wise; they'll pinpoint the reason and provide proper care.

Missing periods may be caused by one of the many reasons. Stress, dressings in weight, hormonal imbalances, or even excessive exercise can be the causes of it. The most common are having abdominal distension or being easily fatigued. To stay healthy, you should try to relax, eat well, and avoid an unhealthy routine. If your periods don't reappear soon, seeing a gynecologist for more advice is a good idea.

I have endometriosis cyst 30×20 mm in right ovary, what ayurvedic. Treatment is needed??
Female | 34
Endometriosis is a situation where the tissue is growing outside its proper location and this leads to the formation of cysts and causes pain. Ayurvedic treatments can be used to shrink the 30x20mm cyst on your right ovary. To reduce manifestations such as discomfort and untimely monthly cycles, herbs such as turmeric and ashwagandha may be beneficial. In addition, following a healthy diet, practicing relaxation techniques, and doing light exercises such as yoga can be promoted.

My menstrual cycle is not getting less than 6 months
Female | 25
Experiencing infrequent menstrual cycles can be linked to various factors like hormonal imbalances, stress, or medical conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Common symptoms to watch for include irregular bleeding, pain, or changes in mood. It’s essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise and a balanced diet. Tracking your cycle can also help identify any patterns. However, given the duration of your situation, I encourage you to consult a gynecologist. They can provide an accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment options, ensuring your well-being is prioritized.

If I swallowed semen from my partnervwho had been drinking will I fail a drug test?
Male | 50
Ingesting semen from a partner who happens to be drinking alcohol would not trigger a positive for a drug test. If you are anxious about the result of the drug test or have other questions concerning sexual health matters, the best person to seek help is a gynecologist or a urologist who could be the right specialist if they are required to consult.

Hello ! My friend’s girlfriend age is 24 completed … they had unprotected sex yesterday …but thing is penetration was only half till penus… as soon as the boy recognized he removed it and jerked outside his pants …can the girl take the ipill now ? pls guide ?
Female | 24
If your friend's girlfriend wants to protect herself against pregnancy, she can use this pill, which is the morning-after pill. This pill can help in blocking pregnancy if it is taken within a specified time slot after unprotected sex. Remember that emergency contraception is not birth control to be used regularly; it's only for emergencies. In case of any symptoms or concerns, she should consult a gynecologist for proper advice.

Having periods twice a month and feeling feverish or nauseous can be concerning, but taking emergency contraception (like the p2 pills) can sometimes cause irregular bleeding and other side effects. It’s important to see a gynecologist to rule out pregnancy and address any other health concerns.

Hello I have problem I get my period twice in month I could like to know what couse that and what medicine can help me
Female | 27
The body may have imbalanced hormones, which cause this. There could also be problems with the reproductive system. You might experience heavy bleeding or painful cramps. To fix it, you could take pills for regulating periods like birth control or other drugs that will help regulate menstrual cycles. Talk with a gynecologist about what would work best for you.
