Is White Discharge Normal After Taking i-Pill?

Patient's Query

After taking ipill is it normal to have white discharge?

Answered by Dr. Nisarg Patel

It's quite common to experience changes in vaginal discharge after taking emergency contraception like the iPill. This discharge can vary in color and consistency due to hormonal fluctuations caused by the medication. Generally, white discharge is normal and can be a sign of your body adjusting. However, if you notice any unusual symptoms such as a strong odor, itching, or discomfort, it is important to consult with a gynecologist. They can provide personalized advice and ensure everything is okay.

Inverted Nipple problem, erected while performing excercise, with contact of water , sexual intercourse

Male | 16

Nipples can sometimes stick out during exercise, contact with water, or arousal during intimacy. This happens due to muscle movements and blood flow changes. Common signs are nipples turning inward. To address this, using nipple shields or gentle pushing can help nipples protrude and remain erect during these activities.

I used an emergency contraception about a month and a half ago, and found my self in a situation where I need to use one again now. In February I had a miscarriage and I’m just wondering how many times I can use emergency contraception, and if it’s okay to even after having a miscarriage. I have used probably about 6 in my life. Is there a limit to how many a woman can take? Will it affect my gynecological health?

Female | 21

Emergency contraception is intended for occasional and emergency use, not as a regular form of birth control. While there is no strict limit on how many times emergency contraception can be used, it's important to understand that it is not as effective or reliable as regular contraception methods.

Repeated use of emergency pills can disrupt hormonal balance in your body and cause irregularities in your menstrual cycle. It's recommended to speak personally with a gynec about more reliable and appropriate forms of contraception that can better suit your needs and provide ongoing protection.

If i've had tramadol can my partner be affected by it during oral sex? Like his toungue being 'zingy' or tingly?

Female | 42

Its unlikely that your partner would be affected by tramadol. Tramadol is a pain medication that works by affecting the brain and nervous system, and its not known to cause tingling or "zingy" sensations in the mouth or tongue.

I went to a doc two months back she gave me yasmin Which is a kind of contraceptive I couldn't Take it then I went to another doc he gave me normoz. I got periods on time from that day but the pain is extreme during periods that I feel like dying . I have to go for injections as medicine doesnt work. I am getting weak also plus body hair what should I do ? My another concern is that yesterday was my Ist day of period . I had make out with my boyfriend no penetration or ejaculation just rubbing . what is the chances of me getting pregnant. I know it is a lame question as There is no chance but for The sake of anxiety and concern I had to ask this. And if there is any chance what Should I do for not getting pregnant ? Kindly revert back as Im very anxious .

Female | 26

Extreme period pain can be caused by disorders like PCOD, which may also explain the body hair you mentioned. To manage the pain, try warm baths, gentle exercise, and over-the-counter pain relievers. Regarding pregnancy, the chances of penetration or ejaculation are extremely low.
