Why is my son's nipple red and inverted?
My 14 month old son developed a red nipple last Saturday. Since then the redness has gone down. However still a noticable difference from the other nipple. It is also going inverted and coming back out. He was not born with inverted nipples.

It is great that differences have been spotted in your son's nipple. This could be due to moments of redness and inversions whenever irritations or infections set in. It is quite necessary to stick around. If the condition persists or grows more severe, the best alternative would be to seek further evaluation and advice from a pediatrician.

the patient in hospital is a young girl and doctor wants to take her C.T. scan but she is crying too much and it difficult to control her in that condition what would doctor do
Female | 6
Crying is normal when frightened. To make the girl calmer, speak softly, give comfort, and explain the scans like taking a picture inside her body. Ask her parent to hold her hand or be close while it happens. This might help her feel safer. Giving her a favorite toy or music could also distract her from the scan's happenings.

I am hbe trait ,my wife has hbe disease...she is 3 months pregnant.what is the probability in our baby
Female | 33
The risk of the baby carrying the disease goes as follows: 25% chance of inheriting the disease from you, 50% of being a carrier even though the baby will be unaffected, and 25% of being totally okay. Some of these manifestations are tiredness and growth delay in the affected persons. Regular check-ups throughout the pregnancy are important in order to watch over the baby's health. Genetic counseling should be considered among supportive measures taken to fully understand prognosis and know the best treatment options that are available to you. Your doctor should always be consulted before receiving any medical advice to ensure the best care options for your wife and baby. Your early identification will contribute to it.

It's understandable to be concerned about your daughter’s use of her inhaler during the winter months. Persistent coughing, wheezing, or shortness of breath might indicate asthma or allergies, which can be triggered by cold air or respiratory infections. Regularly visiting her healthcare professional is crucial for monitoring her condition and adjusting treatment as necessary. Additionally, consider discussing strategies to minimize exposure to triggers, such as keeping her warm and avoiding allergens. My 5 month old opened her mouth for 2 to 3 mins two times today. I was worried about her because she never did it before. Is it normal? Moreover she do not have congested nose nor does she have any other symptoms or issue..
Female | 5 months
It's not uncommon for infants to exhibit new behaviors, such as opening their mouths for extended periods. This could be a sign of exploring their environment, a reflex action, or simply a stage in their development. Since your baby is not showing any signs of discomfort or illness, it’s likely nothing to be concerned about. However, keep an eye on her behavior. If it continues or if you notice any other unusual signs, don’t hesitate to reach out to your pediatrician for reassurance.

"I would like to ask a pediatrician about my 3-year-old daughter, Sela. She has been experiencing gum issues for almost a month, with one gum coming in every two days. Is this dangerous? Additionally, she sometimes holds her stomach, but she doesn’t have any other symptoms. What should I do?"
Female | 3
It's quite common for young children to experience gum discomfort as their teeth emerge. This can cause tenderness and minor irritation. While the occasional holding of her stomach may indicate mild discomfort, without other symptoms, it may not be alarming. Ensure she is maintaining good oral hygiene and consider offering soft foods to help ease any discomfort. If her symptoms persist, or if you notice any unusual changes, it would be wise to consult your pediatrician for a thorough evaluation and reassurance. Professional guidance is key to ensuring her health and comfort.
