The treatments for stage 4 of Stomach Cancer would be:
- Radiation Therapy: People with stomach cancer usually receive external-beam radiation therapy, Radiation therapy may be used to shrink the size of the tumour or to destroy any remaining cancer cells.
- Chemotherapy: Your sister in law may receive 1 drug at a time, or a combination of different drugs given at the same time.
They MAY use the following drugs (which shall be taken only on Doctor's prescription):
- Cisplatin (available as a generic drug),
- Oxaliplatin (Eloxatin),
- Fluorouracil (5-FU, Efudex),
And there may be other drugs apart from the ones given above that the doctor may prescribe.
- Targeted Therapy: Not all tumors have the same targets. To find the most effective treatment, your doctor may run tests to identify the genes, proteins, and other factors in your tumor.
- Immunotherapy: It uses materials made either by the body or in a laboratory to improve, target, or restore immune system function. For patients with advanced stomach cancer that has PD-L1 or is MSI-H, pembrolizumab (Keytruda) may be an option for patients when chemotherapy does not work.

Hello Sachin, Treatment for oral cancer (mouth cancer) or any other cancer normally depends on the type, location, and stage of the cancer, age of patient and patient's general condition when diagnosed.
Oral cancer treatment includes:
- surgery in early stages,
- Radiation therapy,
- Chemotherapy.
- Treatment for advanced stages will usually involve a combination of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
- Targeted therapy can be effective in both early and advanced stages of cancer.
In your case, depending of stage of cancer or if it is recurring, the clinician will decide about the line of treatment. Very important is nutrition of patient as eating will be a concern during and after treatment for some time. Hygiene of mouth is also very important and not to be missed. In case of advanced oral cancer, the patient may need reconstructive surgery and some rehabilitation to assist with eating and speaking during recovery. Speech therapist, nutritionist will be needed. Kindly consult an oncologist for evaluation.

The end-of-life phase cancer therapy focuses on symptom management and quality of life enhancement instead of cancer treatment. Symptoms may be severe pain, weight loss, fatigue, and difficulty breathing. The causes of cancer are different but can be genetic, lifestyle factors, or environmental exposure. Treatment may include palliative care such as pain management and supportive therapy for the person to be more comfortable.

My brother has malignant lesions in his lungs and Doctors have stated that the lesion must be removed at the earliest using Chemotherapy or immunotherapy. However, we'd like to know which hospitals in Nagpur are the best for lung cancer, particularly for Chemo, Targeted Chemo, or Immunotherapy.
There is no details available regarding the stage of disease and histopathology report which usually decides the type of treatment. Oncologist usually advice biopsy, PET-CT scan, MRI Brain to stage the disease. Treatment depends on the stage of disease. In stage III and IV, we usually give chemotherapy. Targeted therapy or immunotherapy is advised depending on certain biomarkers and stage of disease.

Her 2 POSITIVE Right Breast Cancer ,after Chemo sessions planned for surgery, how many methods of surgeries are available, is there any difference of methodology from other hospitals of Hyderabad to Tata Memorial one. want to have opinion for the surgery sir,
Female | 57
There are several different methods of surgery that can be used to treat right breast cancer. The most common treatments are mastectomy (removal of the entire breast), breast-conserving surgery, and lymph node dissection. The type of surgery for you will depend on the size and location of the tumor, the stage of the cancer, and the your individual preferences. The methodology for performing surgery at Tata Memorial Hospital is likely to be similar to that of other hospitals in Hyderabad. However, there may be slight differences due to the individual expertise and experience of the surgeons at each hospital. You discuss your options with your doctor and ask for their opinion on the best type of surgery for you.

Hello doctor, just 2 weeks ago, my father was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. I want to know if Immunotherapy can treat his Pancreatic Cancer or not? I had read somewhere that immunotherapy is capable of treating anyone without much pain and side effects.
There are immunotherapy drug which have been approved by FDA for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. But sometimes immunotherapy may cause side effects like Fever, Headache, Nausea, Fatigue, Muscle and joint aches, Redness, itching or sores where the needle was inserted and others. Consult Cancer Treatment doctors in Mumbai, or any other city of your choice, they will evaluate the patient and advise the best suitable treatment.

I am writing for my father's treatment. He has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in April 2018. He had gone through 6 cycles of of Alimta and carboplatin till October and then two cylces of Alimta only till December 2018. Up to October, he was doing great, had no side effects and his tumor size went down. After that he became very fatigued and also his tumor size increased significantly. In January 2019, Doctor put him on Docetaxel and so far he is doing good with no side effect. But, we would like to continue his treatment in your reputed hospital. I have attached his initial PET scan (April 2018) and recent PET scan (January 2019) along with few other CT scan. I appreciate if you could suggest me the doctor for his treatment and help me getting the appointments. Also, it would be very helpful if you can give me idea about the expenses. Since he will be coming from Bangladesh, it will take time to get visa and arrange rest of the stuff. Currently I am in Canada and planning to join him during his initial treatment at your hospital, preferably in March.

Ayurvedic medicine has been used to treat various conditions but it may not be suitable for all health issues. If someone is diagnosed with throat cancer.. conventional cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy have been proven effective in many cases. So consult an oncologist for proper cancer treatment and evaluation.

My wife had oral cance her treatment is going on CNCI Bhowanipur. But in my last visit this month the Doctors informed me there is no more treatment for her and refer for palliative care.Is there any hope for her?
Female | 42
In palliative care patients with serious illnesses are provided with comfort, pain relief and support with the goal of enhancing their quality of life. It does not mean that there is no hope, but doctors advice this when curative treatment are no longer available. If you're confused you can seek a second opinion from another oncologist.

Does cancer come back in everyone who is cured after treatment?
Male | 22
When an individual undergoes treatment and the disease fades away, it’s a relief. Nonetheless, there are times when it recurs after going into remission. It is contingent on the kind of malignancy one has as well as the method used for healing it. Signs that can indicate its reoccurrence may be similar to those experienced during the first onset such as unexplained weight loss, fatigue, or formation of new masses. To avoid its resurgence, you need to keep seeing your doctor for regular checkups besides living healthily.
