There are a variety of factors that can cause a delay in menstruation. STRESS, WEIGHT, and PCOS are all common. PREGNANCY or menopause are also possible explanations for a late period. If you are SEXUALLY ACTIVE, it is recommended that you take a pregnancy test. Otherwise, it may be best to simply WAIT IT OUT. If your period still hasn't arrived after a month, it's time to CONSULT A DOCTOR.

Hello sir/maam I'm married I had miscarriage of 6 weeks after that I did torch test in that I got cmv igg postive and hsv igg and igm positive what does it mean??
Female | 26
These results point that CMV antibodies, HSV IgG, and HSV IgM are positive. CMV and HSV are viruses that cause infections, the main reason for illness. IgG signifies a former infection, while IgM evidences a recent one. In the case of CMV, the symptoms might not occur, but it may come with flu-like issues and may also cause the baby to be born with it during the pregnancy. In the case of HSV, the symptoms can include blisters or sores of the mouth and the genitals. It is important to get medical advice from a gynecologist for confirmation of the disease and treatment options.

Single wide loop of cord around fetal neck
Female | 21
Finding a cord loop around a baby's neck is common. Normally, this doesn't cause issues. The cord wraps when the baby moves. Babies can be born vaginally without issues. During delivery, doctors monitor the baby closely to ensure smoothness.

Can I travel by train in 8th months of pregnancy???
Female | 27
Traveling by train when you are eight months pregnant can be a bit dangerous. Right now you may be faced with the symptoms of swelling, pain, and fatigue. The perpetual motion of trains on this form of travel may contribute to your condition and aggravate your symptoms. It's better to avoid long train rides and instead select shorter ones near your house. Before you take any travel, always seek advice from a gynecologist.

I had protected sex on april four days after my period. The next month was period was a day late so i had one full papaya and ginger tea with other spice and jaggery and exercised a lot. My period arrived but was comparatively light normal clots and heavy cramps. Is there any possibility am pregnant
Female | 20
It's not probable for you to be pregnant if your menstrual cycle arrived even if it was a little different than usual. At times, periods may be lighter or heavier due to factors such as stress or dietary changes. Cramps and clots are also normal occurrences during menstruation. However, if you’re still concerned about being pregnant, take a pregnancy test.

My period should come in this week. I have been experiencing white vaginal discharge for past 2-3 days which have become a lot today. I am worried about pregnancy although i had protected sex followed by withdrawal method 3 weeks back.
Female | 20
This could be your body getting ready for your period. Stress or hormones can make it happen at other times too though. Since you used protection when having sex, there’s not much chance that this means pregnancy. Try not to get too worked up unless there are other strange signs along with the discharge, it’d be best to talk to a gynecologist.

I am bleeding from my vagina again even tho it ended a week ago. I was sick when my period started last time and I am sick again so can that cause the period?
Female | 19
Illness can affect your periods, leading to irregular bleeding, tiredness, cramps, and abnormal flow. Rest and self-care can help, but if the irregularity continues, it's important to consult a gynecologist. Menstrual changes are a way for your body to signal something, so paying attention is key.

I am 28 days late on my period and my cycle is normally regular. I was meant to get my period around 1 August. My last period was around 1-6 July. I had intercourse on 20 and 21 July. 2 weeks ago, I had period-like pain and took a Clear Blue test. It came back negative. This was 17 August and I had some light spotting (brown and then red), but it was only when I wiped myself. Nothing more. Then on 20 August, I took another test, this time a digital Clear Blue one, it was also negative. Then 23 August, I took another and it was negative. It was a generic Dischem test. Then 24 August, I took another Clear Blue test and it was negative. On 26 August, I had some breast pain and tummy discomfort that felt like light tummy bug. I took 2 tests at different times - one Generic test from a chemist and one Safecare bio-tech rapid response. Both negative. On 28 August, I just took another test, it was another Safecare rapid response. Also negative. So far, I have taken 7 tests, all negative.
Female | 30
If you're 28 days late and still getting negative test results, it's less likely you're pregnant. Stress, weight fluctuations, and hormonal imbalance may be responsible for the delayed menses. Sometimes, the organism requires additional time to readjust. If you are worried, going to a gynecologist for a check-up can make you feel better.

I am not feeling periods from 5 days. What can be the reason? What should I do
Female | 23
Missing periods for 5 days may seem worrisome, yet there could be various causes. Stress often disrupts menstrual cycles. Rapid weight fluctuations also impact hormones regulating periods. Additionally, hormonal imbalances unrelated to stress or weight can occasionally throw off your cycle. If irregular cycles persist, consult a gynecologist.

I have a reoccurring vaginal pimple on my left labia. this has been happening for a couple of months and i shave frequently, though this happens when there more sweat and shaving involved. the pimple shows up typically one to two weeks after shaving. i was wondering if i should be worried especially if it’s reoccurring?
Female | 17
It may be caused due to ingrown hair, blocked hair follicles, or skin irritation from shaving or sweat. TO avoid this, u can try keeping the area clean, wearing loose-fitting clothing, and considering alternative hair removal methods. If it still doesn't heal then check with a gynecologist for proper treatment.

What could cause a yeast infection to lead to bleeding
Female | 17
Yeast infections usually do not cause vaginal bleeding. In case you notice bleeding as well as other symptoms like itching, burning, or soreness, you should consult your gynecologist to do further evaluation. I sex after 2 days of her periods his period cycle was 31 days can it's safe
Male | 23
Sex 48 hours after a woman's period will in most cases not lead to any problems. On average, 31-day cycles put the woman in her fertile days on day 17. In case they're focused on pregnancy being the right time to conceive, they should still use highly effective protection during the whole cycle. If they see any unusual signs such as pain or abnormal bleeding, they should go to the gynecologist for help.

Female | 28
The bleeding can be a result of the hormonal imbalance that is triggered by the pills. The side effects you are experiencing are also common. One must keep an eye on the bleeding and at the same time drink enough water. If the bleeding continues or worsens, it is important to get medical help from a gynecologist to ensure everything is fine.

Female | 25
According to your sonography record, it is seen that you may have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This particular disease is considered a hormonal disorder and affects mainly women of reproductive age. The symptoms could be irregular periods, acne, and weight gain. It is wise to see your endocrinologist or gynecologist who specializes in this condition if you have it.

I had sex 2 months back with protection I didn't get periods yet I have irregular periods from beginning I took urine test it's negative am I pregnant
Female | 23
Periods can act unpredictably sometimes, which is completely normal. Even if you had safe sex and the urine test was negative, there's still a tiny chance of pregnancy. Stress can also delay periods. If you're still worried, you could take another test in a week or two. If concerns persist, chat with a gynecologist for personalized advice.

i am planning to get pregnant can i take enzoflam for bodybpain
Female | 25
Enzoflam is a medicine for pain relief; however, it should not be taken while pregnant because it can harm the unborn child. It is normal to have aches and pains throughout your body when you are pregnant. You could do light physical activities or soak in warm water instead of using enzoflam. Also, talk to your gynecologist for advice on which painkillers are safe to use during pregnancy.

35 Female with lower abdominal pains below the belly button, bilateral(on both the left and right sides) unilateral in nature(where one sided pain occurs). Sharp and pinpoint to same location for both left and right sides, directly across from each other. happening since October 2021, coincided with period first occurrence on right side 2021 thought it was a cyst at first. Went away until the second occurrence on June 19th, 2022(period cycle then was June 8th - 16th), right side. Went away and returned September 25th, 2022 on left side this time(period cycle for September 2022 was the 3rd through 11th), it occurred again in January 7th 2023 on the right side(period cycle for January 2023 a skipped period) at this point I still thought it was was cyst like pain or even ovulation pain bothering me,so I went to gynecologist, they thought it could be large intestine related due to the location of the pains. I got an ultrasound that came back normal in February of 2023. The same day i had the ultrasound, I went to medexpress to get my physical for my driver's permit, and they suggested asking my previous pcp for a ct scan, to check my appendix. It was hard to get into my previous pcp as I didn't see them in 3 years so I wasn't established. I reached out to the gynecologist I saw in january of 2023, in June 2023 when I had another occurrence of the pain, to see about getting a ct scan. It was approved by insurance, but ultimately denied under physician review( by the supervising gynecologist, and my previous pcp, because my ultrasound was normal). I then established care in December of 2023, with a new pcpx who is suspicious that my pains are coming from ibs mixed with spasms. I am taking dicyclomine 10 mg 4 times a day as needed, but it's not really doing anything when the pains occur. My pcp also changed my dicyclomine to a 45 day supply as I asked in a different question. I also met with a surgeon in March of 2024 due to a large gallstone, as my pcp said they were common in people my age. The surgeon gave a complete different answer than what I have been given before, and he thought my pains could be coming from endometriosis. The surgeon performed my cholecystectomy, on May 29th, and did a general exploration during it, but found no endometriosis. My pcp still suggested getting an evaluation for endometriosis just to know we didn't miss anything, as well as getting evaluated by a gastroenterologist. As my pains have still been continuing. What could these pains be coming from? I feel like I will be tossed back and forth between gynecology and gastroenterology, and I don't want that at all. Some helpful info: My new pcp also diagnosed me with pcos as I fit the criteria for it with my irregular period cycles, despite my bloodwork and ultrasound coming back normal. I also had the cbc; comprehensive metabolic panel; celiac; thyroid; A1C; ESR; and C-Reactive protein all tested in December of 2023 when I met with my new pcp. The only two that came back as abnormal were my ESR at 34 and C-Reactive protein at 29.7
Female | 35
You have been through a lot with your abdominal pains. Therefore, considering the normal ultrasound results and the new suspicion of endometriosis from the surgeon, your pain may be due to endometriosis, the condition wherein tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus that can result in cyclical sharp pelvic pain. It's okay to talk to a gynecologist about more tests and treatments. Besides, you might want to see a gastroenterologist, too, so as to eliminate the probability of any intestinal problems causing the symptoms you are having.
