Could lip swelling relate to fever and inflammation?
My sister is suffering from significant swelling in her upper lip after having a high body temperature and experiencing a spasm in her right shoulder three days ago. She underwent a CRP test, and the result was 39. The doctor prescribed her antibiotics due to the presence of inflammation. However, is it normal for the lip to swell because of the inflammation or fever? It is worth noting that she often has dental issues and frequent tooth pain.

Good thing your sister did a CRP test which indicated inflammation. This may explain the swelling of the upper lip. Inflammation and shoulder spasms could indicate an infection or dental problem. Tooth pain may sometimes cause swelling in the neighboring areas. Antibiotics are beneficial in the case of inflammation. Tell her to visit a dentist for proper treatment.
