Painless, Moveable Neck Lumps: Causes & Concerns
Painless lumps in neck. Moveable, been there a while
Cosmetologist
Answered on 6th Aug '24
If the lumps move around easily, they're likely harmless. These lumps might be caused by swollen glands, cysts, or fatty tissue. If there are no changes or issues, just keep an eye on them. However, if they start getting bigger, it's important to see a doctor.

What causes one side of your face to swell all of a sudden
Female | 33
Parotitis, a swollen saliva gland, strikes suddenly. The gland blocks, causing enlargement, soreness, and reddening. In this state, fluids, heat, and professional assessment provide relief. Hydrating abundantly eases discomfort. Applying warmth soothes inflammation. Visit a dermatologist or a dentist for treatment.

i am 26 ,my sweat, saliva, tears, vagina discharge smells the same not a normal smell
Female | 26
It seems you might have trimethylaminuria, also known as "fish odor syndrome." This condition happens when your body can't break down trimethylamine, leading to a fishy smell in sweat, saliva, tears, and vaginal discharge. There's no specific medication for this, but you can manage it by avoiding certain foods like fish and eggs. It's best to consult a specialist like a dermatologist or a metabolic disorder expert to get a professional opinion and proper guidance.

I hve some acne scars..want to remove these..these are popped pimple scars
Male | 16
Pimple scars can seem annoying, but there are ways to treat them. These scars form when your skin heals after popping a pimple. The scars look like dark spots or uneven texture. To help fade scars, try products containing retinol or vitamin C. Always use sunscreen too since sun exposure can worsen scars. It takes time, but be patient and caring towards your skin.

I have sweating glands under eyes. Can that be cured. If yes, how?
Sweating under the eyes is abnormal and may be an indication of such a problem as hyperhidrosis- this can signify something wrong in numerous parts of the body that appear to sweat profusely. Treatment alternatives range from topical antiperspirants, Botox injections, oral treatments to surgery if necessary. It is best to contact a dermatologist who can diagnose your specific condition and advise you on the most suitable treatment. They can give you a detailed assessment to find the root cause of your sweating and create an individual treatment plan that will help them deal with all these symptoms effectively. Remember, key to effective addressing of hyperhidrosis is the correct diagnosis as well as tailored treatment.

I have a rectangular patch of swelling or inflammation on my lower leg. It is about 4 inches in length and 3 inches in width. It has a small lump inside of it as well. I do not feel any pain nor do I think it is tender. I’ve had it for maybe about 5 or 6 moths and it has now gotten any smaller or bigger. The only medication I’ve. even taking is unisom for a few years now for insomnia and now for nausea because I am about 6 weeks pregnant. I also take prenatal. Why might I have these swelling/inflammation?
Female | 21
You may have a lipoma, a lump of fat lies beneath the skin. It is painless, harmless. Its size remains constant, generally. Your medications likely didn't cause it. Still, seek a doctor's examination for confirmation. If it grows, changes color, or brings pain, definitely consult a dermatologist.

Pimple problem and hair fall solution
Female | 23
Pimples develop when oil and dead skin cells obstruct hair follicles. Stress, hormonal changes, and insufficient face washing contribute. To address pimples, wash your face twice daily, refrain from picking them, and use gentle products. For hair loss, consume a balanced diet, manage stress, and use mild shampoos. Consulting a dermatologist may also prove beneficial if concerns persist.

I am 16 years old and a female, I have noticed that there has been a white spot/bump on my tongue for the past four or five days. At first the bump hurt and I would bite it or play with it with my teeth and it would not stop hurting. Then On sunday night I drank a hot tea and it burnt my tongue. Now it feels like my tongue feels better but that spot feels like it is still irritated or burnt. The spot has not gotten bigger it has been the same size and my lymph nodes are not swollen. I haven’t experienced any fever/ flu like symptoms or unusual discharge.
Female | 16
You might have a canker sore, a harmless and common mouth ulcer. Canker sores can be painful and can come after biting your tongue or eating hot foods. They generally disappear in a week or two by themselves. You can use over-the-counter numbing gels or try rinsing your mouth with salt water to ease the discomfort. Stay away from spicy or acidic foods that can irritate the sore. If it doesn't get any better and if you have more issues, visit a dermatologist.

acutally i have pimples and the dark sports made by pimple so how can i reduce it and make skin glow
Female | 16
Pimples and dark spots are very common and trouble a lot of people. The oil and bacteria are responsible for the development of pimples on the skin that result in inflammation. If the acne clears, the spots will be left behind. To treat them, use a mild face wash, don't pop your pimples, and use creams that contain retinol or vitamin C. Moreover, for healthy skin wear sunscreen every day.

I used to have pimples on my face 2 to 3 years ago but after using some medicine the pimples reduced but pigmentation acne has appeared on my face, how should I cure it.
Female | 21
This condition occurs when your skin produces excess pigment, resulting in dark spots. It often appears after a pimple has healed. To treat it, you can use products containing ingredients like vitamin C or retinol, which can help fade the dark spots over time. Remember to always apply sunscreen to protect your skin from further damage.

Such a condition can arise when the fluid accumulates within your ear, which frequently occurs when swimming or showering. Some indications of this may be difficulty in hearing or the sensation of a full ear. It's best to stay away from anything that can be inserted into your ear and to consult an ENT specialist who can assist you with this problem.

Dark black spot at both corners of my lip. I have tried to treat it, but to no effect yet.
Female | 25
Dark black spots in the corners of the lip can be removed using RF cautery under local anesthesia, or can use some other clinical treatment too, but before any assumptions are made, examination is a must. You can connect with any dermatologist in Navi Mumbai to solve this issue.

I AM 29 YEAR MALE MY NOSE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE MOLE WHAT SHOULD I DO
Male | 29
Moles on your nose seem ordinary and usually don't cause harm. Their appearance could stem from genes or being exposed to sunlight. If these moles maintain their size, shape, and color, there's typically no reason for concern. Still, monitoring them closely and using sunscreen to shield your skin remains advisable. If any changes occur, consult a dermatologist.

Hello I am Vanitha Kotian and my hair is pretty dry and brittle.which shampoo, oil and conditioner do u recommend
Female | 52
dry and fragile hair can result from many reasons such as genetics, poor nutrition or surrounding. On the other hand, it is always advisable to see a dermatologist who can inspect your scalp and strands of hair in order to establish exactly what has caused this condition. They can then offer specific hair care products and treatments that address your needs.

Male | 32
Sunburn can happen when your skin gets too much sunlight. It may feel red, hot, and painful. To cool the sunburn, you can try putting cool cloths and aloe vera gel on your skin. Avoid sun exposure until your skin has healed. Drink plenty of water to help your skin recover faster. Always use sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun.

My finger got black swallowed skin.it won't pain won't itch.but If I remove it it comes again on same place.what is solution?
Male | 40
You have a condition called a subungual hematoma. Small blood vessels under the nail break. This causes the skin to turn black. Trauma, even minor, often causes this. It is usually harmless and resolves by itself. But if it bothers you, a dermatologist can drain the blood. Don't pick at it to avoid infections. Keep the area clean.

Face wash for whitening for men glow removes blushing
Male | 21
You should understand that skin color is natural and special for each person. Men, like everyone else, must use a gentle face wash for daily cleaning without harsh chemicals. Products for whitening can be bad and may not remove blushing well. Blushing often happens because of emotions or surroundings. Instead of looking for whitening products, focus on caring for your skin with a good diet, drinking enough water, and protecting it from the sun.

My father is having a problem like he is having a allergy on complete body when ever he is using any type of hair color he has consulted to many doctors dermatologists but he is not able to find any solutions and all the doctors has recommended him to excuse hair color for life time and strictly told him not to use any type of hair color but he dont want white hair. He want to use any hair color which is chemical free or he is trying to find any solution or any replacement of hair color which can help him to make his hair look black and dont get allergic. Please give me any type of solution from which he can be able to make his hair look black once again without getting any type of allergy.
Male | 55
It seems your father has a severe allergic reaction to hair color. Dermatologists have advised him to avoid all hair colors to prevent further reactions. He should look for natural alternatives like henna or indigo powder, which are less likely to cause allergies. However, it's important to consult with a dermatologist or an allergist before trying any new product to ensure it's safe for him.
