How can I treat sore, peeling thumb skin?
Peeling skin on thumb with sore. What can I do?
Cosmetologist
Answered on 3rd Sept '24
The peeling skin could be caused by irritation, dryness, or an allergic reaction. Perhaps, the soreness comes from the skin being a bit burned. Keep your hands moisturized with lotion and don't pick at the skin. If it's not getting any better or if it's getting worse, visit a dermatologist.

Hello doctor, I fell in the park on Holi, and my friend applied turmeric, garlic and mustard oil on the wound after heating it.I have this injury on my knee This mark has appeared after the wound healed. Now how will it be cured?
Female | 29
You may be having a skin reaction to the things you put on your wound. This has formed a stain on your knee. Temporary things like turmeric, garlic, and mustard oil can be used on the wound but may cause skin irritation. To facilitate the healing, discontinue those substances and keep the area clean. You may also find some relief by applying a light moisturizer. If it doesn't get better, see a dermatologist for more help.

It’s been over a week almost 2 weeks the rash I have under my armpits still itch and seems to be not getting better I don’t see my doctor until march 14 and I dont consider this an emergency for me to go to the ER I’ve tried putting on antibodics cream and Benadryl cream and burn relief gel with lidocaine and it seems to not be helping I haven’t shaved or put any deodorant on what else do you recommend I can put on to help with the itching ? Or what else could it be since it’s not getting better
Female | 33
Under your armpits, you seem to have a persistent rash. Your description suggests intertrigo, a fungal infection. When skin rubs together and moisture gets trapped, fungi can thrive. To ease itching, try an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream. Keep the area clean and dry. Avoid tight clothes. Use a gentle, unscented soap. If the rash persists, your dermatologist may prescribe an antifungal cream.

I am 19 years old mera lip pe ek green green mark h pta nhi kyu h pls dr.reply
Female | 19
The skin might have become green due to Pityriasis versicolor, a fungal infection. This occurs when the skin produces too much oil or sweat. Keep your skin dry and clean, and use antifungal creams if necessary. If that doesn’t help, it’d be best to consult a dematologist.

A breakout on your bum can arise due to sweat, friction, or clogging pores with bacteria. To minimize acne, wear loose-fitting clothes, shower after driving, and use a mild facial cleanser. I am having penis infection ,white item in the inner skin, upper skin also cut..Sometimes irritating , slight pain.
Male | 63
Your situation hints at a penile infection, possibly caused by various factors. The white substance is likely to discharge, while those cuts suggest irritation or infection. Pain and irritation are the usual symptoms of infections. For relief, maintain cleanliness and dryness, avoid harsh soaps, and wear loose undergarments. However, visiting a dermatologist is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.

I am 20 year old female, My hands got some bumps can say its keratosis pilaris and surface is rough too so what should i do now ? A laser or just a treatment?
Female | 20
This can be treated with either topical creams or laser treatments. Depending on the severity of your condition, it is best to consult a dermatologist to determine the best treatment for you. Laser treatments are often more effective than topical creams, but a bit expensive. Topical creams can be used to reduce the appearance of the bumps but may not completely remove them.

I get it, you might be ashamed of what you did, but in the end, your health is what is most important, and I respect you for coming up to deal with it. The bumps and the itchiness of your penis may have been caused by an infection, an allergic reaction, or a condition affecting the skin. For the best case scenario, you should visit a urologist. how to cure my body odor. l have tried everything and nothing seems to work. such as different soaps, exfoliating gloves, apple vinegar vinegar
Female | 15
Bacteria on the skin mix with sweat, causing odor. Certain foods can worsen body odor. Using aluminum deodorant helps reduce sweating. Shower daily and wear breathable fabrics. Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet. Body odor isn't a complex issue—keeping clean is key. However, since bacteria are always present, it's important to combat odor daily.

Skin flake, crusty and black after skin peel
Female | 23
Some skin flaking, crusty appearance, and black discoloration after a peel is normal. This occurs because the peel removes your top skin layer, exposing new skin underneath. Sometimes, temporary discoloration and dryness can result. To aid recovery, moisturize gently and avoid picking flaky areas. Over time, as healing progresses, your skin condition should improve. If it doesn't, visit a dermatologist.
