Dear sir, at present there are 5 ways in which hair removal takes place in India; shaving, waxing, shugaring, epilator, and laser. Laser treatment is the most effective but also difficult to handle and thus requires an expert care, it won't get you rid of hair permanently but will slow down their growth. Laser hair removal cost in India can vary between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 47,000, and are affected by various attributes, including the city where you get it done from. If it spikes any interest or generates curiosity, then you can visit some of the best dermatologists in Bangalore, or any other place. Equipment used and expertise of doctor plays a huge role in results delivered.

Hello. Roughly one month ago I purchased a home wart removal kit to remove what appeared to be a benign wart on the back of my knee. The nozzle on this device broke during use, spraying an area roughly two inches in diameter on my skin with dimethyl ether. This caused a small superficial frostbite/burn, but didn't take care of the wart so I used another kit afterwards which used a swab rather than a nozzle. After using both of these, the area blistered. This blister quickly popped and fell off on its own after just a day, leaving an area of incredibly raw and bloody skin. I applied neosporin to this area regularly and kept it clean allowing it to heal. It's been a month now and while this area isn't entirely healed, it has protective skin on it now. My issue here is the area has a blotchy dark coloration now, looking almost like bruising. This seems odd to me given that it's been a month now, should I be worried about this coloration? There is no pain at the site, though the skin there is quite thin and rough.

Its natural to experience discoloration in skin especially after a blister or wound has occurred. color changes during the healing process. It could be due to hyperpigmentation which is the increased production of melanin in that area. This can result in a bruise-like appearance.

I am 17 years old I have highly pain in mouth ulcer please recommend Mouthwash Pain relief gel or tablet

Male | 17

Having a painful mouth ulcer can be uncomfortable. For some, the first signs of it manifest as a burning or tingling sensation. However, ulcers can also be induced by emotional stress, or injury to the mouth, or even eating certain food types. As a sedative, a gentle mouthwash that does not contain alcohol should suffice for you to clean the area of an ulcer. Besides, it's also possible to glue a pain relief gel or to swallow a tablet for pain relief. Bloating or blistering, which can be caused by spicy or acidic foods, should also be avoided. These foods may exacerbate your ulcer.

I found a bump on the side of my left breast. When I looked it was an open sore. This is not the first one to appear - but this one is worse, as it is sore to touch. I am planning on seeing a doctor this week. But what do I do?

Female | 19

Bumps and open sores can be caused by various conditions, from skin infections and cysts to breast cancer. I'm glad you have a doctor's appointment this week. In the meantime, keep the area clean and dry, avoid squeezing or picking at it, and wear loose-fitting clothes. Early detection and treatment save lives, so don’t miss your appointment.

I’m 22 year old male. I’m having jock itch for the last 4 years. How can It be treated?

Male | 22

Jock itch is a common problem and it can be quite annoying. It is caused by a fungus that grows in warm, wet places such as the groin. The signs include the groin area being red, itchy, and having a rash. For the treatment, you can use store-bought antifungal creams. You should also make sure to keep the area clean and dry as it will help healing faster.

Hello doctor. I am rohit bisht. I am 18 years old. Please suggest me how to recover and stop hair whitening

Male | 18

Hair going white with age or being genetic is a usual thing. Skin problems and tension also cause this. Do something for yourself if under stress; take deep breaths maybe start doing yoga. Have a balanced diet rich in vitamins and minerals as they play a crucial role in preventing premature greying. If possible use plant-based dyes because they don’t contain harmful chemicals however; don’t forget to handle your hair gently while dying it so that you may not end up damaging it further.

I am 22 female. I have itchy pimples on my upper arm and back for the past 2 weeks. I have taken allergex. What could be the cause of this?

Female | 22

You may be suffering from a skin problem called acne. Acne is a consequence of hair follicles being blocked by too much oil and dead skin cells on your skin. Consequently, the skin can become red and itchy and pimples can occur. Allergies or some particular products may also aggravate acne. The best method to clear up the skin is to use gentle non-comedogenic cleaning products and keep your skin clean to the maximum.
