Should I Continue TSH 4.80 Dose or Increase?
Patient's Query
Tsh 4.80 continue with same dose ? Or increase dose?
Answered by Dr. Babita Goel
A reading of 4.80 may indicate that your thyroid function is slightly above the normal range, which can sometimes lead to symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, or sensitivity to cold. Please consider scheduling an appointment with endocrinologist to discuss your results and ensure appropriate management of your thyroid levels for optimal well-being.

Having a sugar level of 444 is dangerous as it is extremely high. It may make you feel thirsty, and tired, and go to the bathroom too frequently. High sugar levels generally occur in diabetics. Noticing a lack of vitamin D can make you feel anxious, tired, weak, and dizzy. It’s good to sunbathe for 20-30 minutes in sun rays. Keep an eye on the level of vitamin D3 in combination with Biteratecals and take advice from a doctor regularly. If you are still facing hair loss then consult a dermatologist.

Hi, I am Male 32 years old, I suffer from Hashimoto, and recently did some other blood tests. My total bilirubine level was 2, (direct was 0.2 and indirect 1.8) I have normal ALT, AST, LDH and GGT, also a normal ultrasound( no problems where found on ultrasound). My Cholesterol was also very high (300) and LDL 230. Should I worry about the liver? SHould I start statin for my cholesterol and could my high colesterol be related to hashimotos?. My height is 180 CM and wight for the moment 75 KG. I have been overweight for many years. Max weight wa 90 kg
Male | 32
Your bilirubin is a bit high but your liver enzymes as well as the ultrasound tests are normal which is good news. High cholesterol can go with Hashimoto's - your thyroid problem. Looking at your LDL levels, it might be good to start taking a statin so that you can reduce this kind of cholesterol in your body. It will also help if you work on your weight and try living healthy.

I am 36 years old. I have TSH level of 3.6 microIU/mL. What should be the dose of my medicine. Currently I was prescribed with 50mcg.
Female | 36
If your TSH level tests positive with a figure of 3.6 microIU/mL, this is within limits but slightly on the higher side. Higher than normal TSH levels often come with symptoms like fatigue, unexplained weight gain, and feeling cold when others are warm. In case you are experiencing any of these symptoms, alongside the fact that 50mcg is your current dose, it means that you may need to adjust it depending on what your body demands. You must always consult your doctor when there is a need to do so.

If you have a Hemoglobin A1c level of 5.7-6.4%, you are at risk for diabetes. If your level is 6.5% or higher, it means that you have diabetes. Signs of this condition include thirstiness, frequent urination, weariness, or unclear eyesight at times. Overeating, genetics combined with little or no physical activity could be the cause behind it all or some of these symptoms coming up. Controlling your blood sugar requires eating well-balanced meals regularly and exercising often if not daily; medication may also be necessary depending on other factors such as age, sex, race, etc.

Male | 21
Vitamin D deficiency can lead to symptoms like fatigue, bone pain, and muscle weakness. Your lab result indicates a significant low level, and starting 5,000 IU daily is a common approach for repletion. It's essential to monitor calcium levels, as excessive vitamin D can contribute to calcification. Adding magnesium, zinc, or vitamin K2 may support overall health, but it’s best to consult your healthcare provider before making any changes. They can tailor a plan based on your specific needs and ensure safe supplementation. Regular check-ups are important for monitoring progress and adjusting dosages as needed.

A doctor has given advice jaggery water.Drink water at the time of an empty stomach in the morning , asar time and before going to sleep at night, it balances the hormone. Does it balance hormones ?? If estrogen dominance or testosterone increase ?
Female | 23
Jaggery water, consumed on an empty stomach, is thought to provide various health benefits, including potential hormonal balance. Hormonal imbalances, such as high estrogen or testosterone levels, can lead to symptoms like mood swings, weight gain, and fatigue. While jaggery contains minerals and nutrients that may support overall health, it's not a guaranteed solution for hormonal issues. Consider lifestyle changes, such as a balanced diet and regular exercise, to promote hormonal health. It's wise to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice and to discuss any specific hormonal concerns you may have.

It's understandable to feel concerned about not gaining weight at your age. Factors like metabolism, dietary habits, and underlying health issues can play a role. Common symptoms include low energy and frequent illness. To help, focus on consuming nutrient-dense foods, such as nuts, avocados, and whole grains, and consider incorporating strength training to build muscle.
