Menstrual cycles are not only affected by pregnancy. There can be many reasons causing irregular periods including stress, weight changes, hormonal imbalance and even underlying medical conditions. It is advised that you seek a gynecologist's help to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

If a girl has sex before her expected period and then it comes on, she is likely not pregnant. However, some women may have light bleeding or spotting in the early weeks of pregnancy which can be mistaken for a period. If your girlfriend’s cycle was normal with the usual flow for 3-5 days then she is probably okay. Periods are sometimes irregular due to stress among other things so I wouldn’t worry too much about it unless there are other signs as well.

Brown discharge before period may indicate implantation bleeding . Wait for missed period and take a pregnancy test .. If positive, consult your GYNECOLOGIST for further advice. 

High levels are normal in pregnancy, but if they are too high, check with gynaecologist for infections or inflammation

Consuming asafoetida, even in pomegranate seed size, is generally safe during pregnancy. It's a little bit impossible to miscarry this one. In case you feel strange such as having intense belly pains, a lot of blood including stains, or giddiness, you must seek help from your health doctor. Seek peace and avoid being too anxious. Your body is strong and small amounts of asafoetida can be tolerated. A balanced diet and your doctor's advice for a healthy pregnancy are still the things you should remember.
