Fingernail-Related Vaginal Bleeding: Causes and Treatment

Vaginal bleeding due to fingerings nails

Answered on 25th July '24

Vaginal bleeding due to fingernails is concerning. It may occur due to sharp edges causing tears within the delicate vaginal lining. This can lead to bleeding. To prevent this, keep the nails trimmed and smooth. However, if bleeding persists or becomes heavy, consult a gynecologist immediately.

I'm experiencing severe nausea with back pain and lower abdominal pain. These are the symptoms I experience when I got pregnant last. My periods date was 5 August. I want to know whether I'm pregnant or it's a stomach issue

Female | 22

You’re experiencing strong nausea, a backache, and lower abdominal pain, and you’re wondering if you might be pregnant. These symptoms are common in early pregnancy, especially if you’ve had unprotected sex recently. However, they could also be caused by other digestive issues. The best way to find out is to take a pregnancy test. This will help confirm whether you’re pregnant or if something else is causing your symptoms.

Hello ..I am trying to conceive since June 2023 ...I have PCOD I have started taking metformin and clomiphene from Jan 2024... Still not able to conceive My height is 5'1 and weight 60 kg Please help me out

Female | 30

It is difficult to become pregnant with PCOD. This leads to irregular periods and issues with ovulation, as well as increased levels of male hormones. Metformin or clomiphene may be used for regulating the menstrual cycle and promoting ovulation. Ensure you take them according to your doctor’s instructions. Fertility in women with PCOD can also be enhanced by losing weight; therefore, it is important to stay healthy.

I had an intimacy last week Wednesday and evening I took Lydia contraceptive, Friday I took just one tablet of postinor 2 .. Yesterday was my ovulation day and I saw blood spots it's not yet time for me to menstruate does it mean am pregnant

Female | 20

Spotting doesn't necessarily indicate pregnancy. Emergency contraceptives can disrupt your menstrual cycle, leading to irregular bleeding. This stems from hormonal fluctuations within your body. Wait for your period before panicking. If it doesn't arrive, take a pregnancy test for reassurance or talk to your gynecologist.

I have been on birth control for 2 years now and I did it on Saturday night but the guy came in me a little bit should i take the morning after pill

Female | 19

When you don't use birth control perfectly, pregnancy risk rises. The morning-after pill prevents unwanted outcomes if taken within three days. Missed periods, nausea, sore breasts? Those pregnancy symptoms won't show up if you use this pill on time.

Hello, Dr.! My girlfriend and I had a sexual encounter. We had oral sex and fingered each other. However, our genitals accidentally touched two or three times for a few seconds each. There was no penetration during the deed; just the Penis touched the vulva; there was no rubbing or ejaculating anywhere near her (I ejaculated 5-10 mins after the touching of our genitals). But I was scared because of the genital touching and fingering (I did not ejaculate on my hand and after ejaculation I did not touch her genitals and I did fingering before oral sex), so I began reading articles on the internet, and all of them stated that there is a chance of getting pregnant because pre-cum contains sperms. She also had her periods on June 10, 2022, and we were engaged in this action on June 19 , 2022. She also took an i-pill within 24 hours as a precaution. Is there any hope of becoming pregnant?

Male | 27

No chance of pregnancy

Please my girlfriend is having some signs and she has concluded that it's cancer but I also don't know the type of cancer. She is having a bad discharge down there, her breast is itching and she is losing her hair

Male | 23

Let her first consult a gynecologist or an oncologist, for a proper evaluation and diagnosis. The symptoms you mentioned such as a bad discharge, breast itching, and hair loss, can have various causes, and it's not possible to determine the specific type of cancer based on those symptoms alone. It's natural to feel concerned, but only a medical professional can accurately diagnose the cause of her symptoms.

Hello what does it mean when the pregnancy test is one line lighter than the other?

Female | 26

It could indicate a low level of pregnancy hormone. It is recommended to visit an Obstetrician/Gynecologist for further evaluation and clarification.

I am 25 years old and I have always had regular monthly periods but recently they came early like after a week. They usually come after 25 days. Should I be worried?

Female | 25

menstrual cycles do vary slightly from month to month & changes in the timing or length of periods is due to stress, hormonal imbalances, or other health conditions. There is nothing to worry about, but if you experience persistent changes in your menstrual cycle consistently early or irregular periods it's better to talk to a gynec.
