Why Do I Have Vaginal Itching, Soreness, Discharge?
Vaginal itching,soreness, discharge
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 8th Aug '24
If you have symptoms like itching, soreness, and a different kind of secretion, it could be a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. These viral infections can occur when there are too few beneficial bacteria in the vagina. Avoid using scented products in that area and wear cotton underwear to stay cool and comfortable. You can get over-the-counter yeast infection treatments but for bacterial infections, you need to see a gynecologist for antibiotics.

I had last period on 22 april today is 30 may i missed my periods i tested twice with prega news the test is negative both the times why am i missing my period
Female | 25
There could be several reasons why you missed your period. For some people, it might be due to stress or changes in weight while for others it could be a result of hormonal imbalances or medical conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Additionally, you may also notice acne breakouts, increased facial hair growth, and sudden gain or loss of weight among other symptoms. A gynecologist can determine the cause if you are not pregnant after taking several tests and recommend appropriate treatment.

Hello, I have herpes type 1. Yesterday I saw a breakout coming. The blister wasn’t very big, it was more red than yellowish. I was with my boyfriend and we spent the night. Today afternoon I put ethanol and acyclovir topically and after 2-3 hours the blister erupted. I’m afraid if I transmitted the virus to my boyfriend. I try to be cautious and avoid sexual intercourse while having an outbreak. I thought it wasn’t very dangerous because the blister hadn’t developed, but I’m really afraid if I transmitted the virus.
Female | 20
If you had active outbreak there are chances that the virus can be transmitted even if the blister was not fully developed. Avoid intercourse during outbreaks to reduce the risk of transmission. Communicate with your gynec about how to manage your outbreaks and reduce the risk of transmission to your partner.

If I have unprotected sex 3 days before my periods will I still get them
Female | 20
There is still the possibility of getting pregnant if you have had unprotected sex three days before your period is due. This is because sperm can live for a few days inside the body. Not having your period might be a sign that you are pregnant. If you’re worried, after missing a period you can take a pregnancy test to find out for sure.

I have sex 2 months ago...last month I got my period but this month it delayed..is pregnancy possible??
Female | 22
There is a possibility that you can be pregnant if you had unprotected sex two months ago, even though you got your period last month. Some of the pregnancy signs are nausea, tiredness, and breast tenderness. Stress or hormonal changes can also be the reason for a period of delay. If you want to be sure, the home pregnancy test is the solution.

I had dry discharge and periods date is today and it's not come so I test with pregnancy kit and it's negative so it's come tomorrow or not I am worried about that
Female | 20
When periods get irregular, it's understandable to feel concerned. Dry discharge and a skipped cycle could stem from stress, hormonal shifts, or routine disruptions. A negative pregnancy test might also mean you tested too soon. Remain composed; wait another week. If your period still doesn't arrive, retest or consult a gynecologist.

My last period at Apr 8 but I still didn't get date but today I have taken pregnancy test..it's positive but I don't have any symptoms...is it safe pregnancy or not
Female | 26
A positive pregnancy test indicates that you are pregnant. Not everyone experiences the same pregnancy symptoms, and some people might not have noticeable symptoms early on. So lack of symptoms doesn't necessarily mean an unsafe pregnancy, you need to consult a gynecologist for confirmation

I noticed I do pee blood immediately after sex for the pass view month now
Male | 29
It's crucial to be aware if you detect blood in your urine after sexual intercourse. This can be attributed to a few reasons like a urinary tract infection or bladder irritation. This is what happens when the delicate tissues of the urinary tract get affected during sex. It is a good idea to drink enough water and urinate after sex to help remove any bacteria. Besides, use enough lubricant during sex to avoid any friction that may cause bleeding. If you still notice blood in your urine, it would be best to consult a gynecologist for further evaluation and advice.

I had n intercourse without protection on 5th day (19 june 2024 ) of my periods and I think it was my safe zone.. But still I ate unwanted 72 within 24 hrs and yesterday night bleeding occurred how many days will this bleeding stop? And is it normal?
Female | 25
No need to panic, hemorrhaging and all the confusion you felt after taking unwanted 72 are more common than you think. The blood you're currently seeing may most likely be the emergency contraceptive pill. It's normal to experience irregular bleeding or spotting after using it. This bleeding should stop within a few days, usually 3 to 5. However, if it drags on and becomes more severe, you should better get in touch with a gynecologist.

I am period are didn't come but I have pcod problem I done unprotected sex also . Am I pregnant
Female | Ujwala
PCOD can be the cause of irregular periods. It is possible that pregnancy can occur if a woman has sexual intercourse without protection. Such symptoms as nausea, tiredness, and breast tenderness are evidence of early pregnancy. The only way to be sure is by taking a home pregnancy test. Moreover, anxiety is another factor that can delay the periods. Always remember that it is best to confirm with a gynecologist if you have any doubts.

Hello there, this is sushmitha..im married 7 months ago...we are trying for a baby...i had hypo thyroid 2 months back it was cured but using 100mcg as now... this month i didnt get my period but getting white discharge, body pains, dizzy and feeling vomiting....is it a symptom of any infection or is it symptoms of pregnancy...im confused totally
Female | 25
The troubles you are feeling such as white discharge, pain all over your body, feeling faint, lack of recent period and desire to throw up might mean that you have an infection or are pregnant. The signs of disease are similar to those of pregnancy, so don't be shocked if it turns out that way but also keep in mind this other possibility. Take a pregnancy test at home if not to clear your doubts. Getting more advice from a gynecologist can also help.

Am 18 yrs l had sex a week back and later had some period flow red to brown colour. Feeling like l have some fever and when l eat l feel like vomiting. After the sex incident l took p2 pills .am l likely to be pregnant because l had my periods twice this month
Female | 18
Having periods twice a month and feeling feverish or nauseous can be concerning, but taking emergency contraception (like the p2 pills) can sometimes cause irregular bleeding and other side effects. It’s important to see a gynecologist to rule out pregnancy and address any other health concerns.

my periods are irregular?
Female | 29
Your periods come on different days each month. That's normal for your age. Things like stress, weight changes, and imbalanced hormones make this happen. You may have unpredictable bleeding and cramps. Try managing stress, staying a healthy weight, and eating nutritious foods. If it continues for a while, check with a gynecologist.

I’m 13 and for the past five days, it’s hurt when I pee or just after I pee. It really hurts and my mom won’t take me to get tested. I don’t know if it’s an infection or not and I’m scared of dying. What are some things I can do to help it be gone
Female | 13
You may have a urinary infection. The signs you mention, such as pain during urination, are typical of UTIs; they occur when bacteria enter the urinary system. Drink plenty of water to relieve the pain, do not hold your pee, and place a warm towel on your lower abdomen. If it persists, be sure to discuss visiting a urologist with your mom.

I’m 18 years old my periods is delay please message me
Female | 18
It is normal for periods not to come regularly, especially while you’re still a teenager. Sometimes they may be late due to stress, weight changes, or starting different sports activities. If you’ve had sex recently then there’s also the chance of being pregnant so keep that in mind too. Make sure you eat well-balanced meals every day and try not to worry too much, as stress can make things worse.. If it keeps happening, talk to a gynecologist.

Hii. I had sex on 2nd April and i got i pill tablet before 72 hours.usally my monthly periods are 6th of every month.i got withdrawal bleeding after one week of taking i pill i.e on 11th . I had tested urine pregnancy test and got negitive.i didn't get my periods until now what should I do now
Female | 19
It's common to experience withdrawal bleeding about a week later. This bleeding is not the same as a regular period but a response to the pill's hormones. If your periods have still not come, take another test a few days after the expected date. If the test remains negative and your period is further delayed, consult a gynecologist

Why is my vagina long and brown I’m insecure cause I’m so young and only did it with one guy
Female | 20
Normal changes can make private parts appear different in shape and color. Sometimes, the vagina may seem longer or darker. This is often due to genetics, hormones, or pigmentation. Sexual activity could also cause changes. If it worries you, focus on health over looks. Discuss any concerns with a gynecologist.
