If you have symptoms like itching, soreness, and a different kind of secretion, it could be a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. These viral infections can occur when there are too few beneficial bacteria in the vagina. Avoid using scented products in that area and wear cotton underwear to stay cool and comfortable. You can get over-the-counter yeast infection treatments but for bacterial infections, you need to see a gynecologist for antibiotics.

Hello, I have herpes type 1. Yesterday I saw a breakout coming. The blister wasn’t very big, it was more red than yellowish. I was with my boyfriend and we spent the night. Today afternoon I put ethanol and acyclovir topically and after 2-3 hours the blister erupted. I’m afraid if I transmitted the virus to my boyfriend. I try to be cautious and avoid sexual intercourse while having an outbreak. I thought it wasn’t very dangerous because the blister hadn’t developed, but I’m really afraid if I transmitted the virus.
