Answered on 8th Jan '25
Recurrent episodes of acute pancreatitis can be concerning. Common symptoms include severe abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. Often, alcohol consumption, gallstones, or certain medications contribute to this condition. To minimize the risk of future flare-ups, maintain a well-balanced diet low in fat, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol. It's vital to monitor your symptoms closely. I strongly suggest consulting a gastroenterologist for a personalized plan and further evaluation.

Stomach pain and diarrhea since Thursday the 30th May Also some light brown discharge when wiping after using the toilet with diarrhea
Female | 29
Stomachache and diarrhea that go along with light brown spotting may indicate a tummy bug or infection. The reason for these signs might be food poisoning or a virus. Remember to drink plenty of water for hydration and take some rest. If you don’t feel better or your symptoms become worse, don’t hesitate to consult with a gastroenterologist as soon as possible.

Hello. My name is Maria Ijaz. I have epigastric pain since 8 years and have tried everything but nothing ever helps. I’ve got all sort of blood work and radiology work and nothing shows any answers. I’m in dire need of help.
Female | 24
Abnormal pain in that area can be caused by different diseases or conditions, such as digestive diseases, tense situations, or discomforts related to the ingestion. As we saw the former tests couldn't reveal any factors, it would be wise to track the consumed food and the associated symptoms to single out the possible triggers. You should consult a gastroenterologist for proper advice.

Good evening doctor. I'm an engineering student of 21 years old. 4-5 months ago I had problem of haemorrhoids for which I took homeopathy medicine, improved my eating habits and it was cured. But recently due to bad toilet movements, I'm feeling problem of haemorrhoids again from last 7-8 days. 4-5 days ago I got blood during bowel, but then I took churan and some medicine so from yesterday I'm not getting blood but I can feel a little bulge on anal opening which is causing uneasiness. I'm very scared of surgery, can u please tell in my condition, is surgery a must or it can be made okay by self care. Please help me
Male | 21
You are experiencing a recurrence of hemorrhoids, which can occur due to straining during bowel movements or dietary factors. Your symptoms of bleeding and discomfort are concerning but can often improve with self-care measures. Maintaining a high-fiber diet, staying well-hydrated, and using over-the-counter topical treatments may provide relief. However, if the bulge and discomfort persist or worsen, it's essential to consult a gastroenterologist to explore further options. Surgery is usually not the first line of treatment.

Hi so I took omeprazole for 1 month because of GERD, now I’m off it and back on Vyvanse but my vyvanse doesn’t work at all after the omeprazole, it doesn’t activate, how come?
Male | 27
Omeprazole decreases the bioavailability of Vyvanse by blocking its uptake.
For the GERD, it is recommended to see a gastroenterologist for its management and psychiatrist in case of prescribing Vyvanse.

Meri gf ne unwanted 72 ka sevan kiya 1januray ko lakin uske pet me bhut tej dard ho raha hai tho kya kiya jaye
Female | 22
Aapki girlfriend ko agar 72 ka sevan karne ke baad dard ho raha ho, toh yeh kuch karanon se ho sakta hai, jaise hormonal changes ya gastric disturbances. Pahle amla ki (acidity, gas and sour stomach) problem se ho sakta hai ya phir aapki body ko 72 ka samasya hai. Aram se baatho aur pet bhi aapne upar se nahi baithi hoti hai, to ye acidity ho sakti hai. Agar dard zyada hai ya baaki symptoms, jaise vomiting ya bleeding, dekhe ja rahe hain, toh seedha gynecologist se milna zaroori hai.

i have been experiencing pain in right side of chest from several days and i am feeling it incresed in last few days but i am also increasingly burping from last few days and as i burp out few times i feel relived in pain how is it related ? and do i have any heart issue?
Male | 19
You might be suffering from a problem called acid reflux. This is the situation when the acid in the stomach comes back to the esophagus and causes chest pain. Belching is maybe a physical way for your body to relieve itself from a bad condition. On the other hand, heart problems have different symptoms such as chest feeling narrow and shortness of breath. Besides that, you can eat small portions of food and stay away from hot and fatty foods. If the pain persists, go to a gastroenterologist for a correct diagnosis.

How is hep c spread? If I used a stick n poke needle with no blood
Female | 19
Transmission of hepatitis C may involve contact with infected blood and/or sharps such as needles. Even if the needle does not have any water therein, the stick and pokes use can still result in viral infections. It will be good to see a hepatologist or a gastroenterologist if you have reason to think your chances of Hepatitis C are high.

Cyclical vomiting is also associated with many gastric problems. You need to get an upper Gastrointestinal scope to rule out any lesions associated with the gastrointestinal tract. You need to focus on healthy food habits to prevent such events. It is always advisable to investigate the condition so that we can catch any problem at an early stage.

Iam 18 year old and i have some problems in my gut it's been 3 years start gas and then bloating, constipated and i poop 1 hour why? Is there any solution
Female | 18
You may have a problem called irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS. IBS can lead to the production of gas, bloating, constipation, and the alteration of your bathroom habits. Eating more fiber, drinking water, and managing stress can be an efficient way to improve your condition. Additionally, do not forget to consume regular meals and stay away from trigger foods like dairy or spicy foods. If these changes don't help, make sure to see a gastroenterologist for further advice.

My daughter 5 years old always complaining about stomach pain and nausea. whenever we are trying to get him eat food she denied and cant eating properly. we done Ultrasound and urine tests and all are normal. can you please advise.
Female | 5
Since the ultrasound and urine tests turned out normal, possible reasons for the symptoms may be. Typical causes in little ones can be food intolerance, stress, or anxiety. It is advisable to monitor if she is grey with certain foods before experiencing them or if she is angry all of a sudden and feels sick. Keeping a food diary and trying relaxation techniques such as deep breathing may be helpful. If the symptoms persist, talk to a pediatrician to get a proper diagnosis of the problem.

You likely have an inflamed colon, known as Ulcerative Colitis, which is a condition where the lining of the bowel becomes inflamed. Symptoms can include pain in the left side of the abdomen and frequent bowel movements. Given your history of taking medication for TB, it's important to discuss the best treatment options with your doctor. A gastroenterologist may suggest anti-inflammatory medications and lifestyle changes to help manage the condition.

I am 24 years old femlehaving fever , diarrhoea l took fasida full dose but the diarrhoea is still disturbing me
Female | 24
Fever and diarrhea are often associated with infections caused by viruses or bacteria. Fluids should be your best friend to avoid dehydration. If you don't feel better, you may want to eat less spicy and bland foods for a while. In such cases, the symptoms may last even after the medicine is taken but if it is so for more than two days or worsens, then it is time to visit the gastroenterologist.

It may also be good if you eat a healthy diet, drink water, and avoid heavy meals. if aggravated pain, fever, or the same symptoms that are not going away, you should consult a gastroenterologist.

This could be acid reflux, also called heartburn. Acid from your stomach travels back up your esophagus, causing those issues. Try avoiding spicy, fatty foods. Eat smaller portions and don't lie down right after. Elevate your head when sleeping, too. Drink plenty of water; follow a balanced diet. If symptoms persist, talk to a gastroenterologist for help. Your health matters!

My mother has gastrological problems so recently I showed her to a renowned doctor who prescribed her some medicines. She started to take the medicines from yesterday there was a tablet which was to be taken after dinner she took it yesterday and she felt as if something is happening to her she can't breathe but it became normal after sometime but tonight same thing happened but it lasted so long and her condition was so bad that she couldn't breathe I took her too a nearby hospital where she was given some injections. I just need to ask why did that happened
Female | 43
Your mother might have suffered from an extreme allergic reaction to the pill she took after dinner. An allergy can be followed by a few different symptoms such as, for instance, shortness of breath, swelling, and low blood pressure. Stop the medicine, and inform her doctor at once. They can suggest a drug, which would not lead to such reactions.

Is excessive urine also a symptom of peeliya or fatty liver
Male | 18
Pee turns dark yellow in yellow fever. Peeliya is liver-derived trouble that is the usual etiology, while fatty liver syndrome is primarily related to a bad diet. As a measure, try to eat a balanced and healthy diet and avoid the use of fatty foods too.

I have had constant acid reflux for going on 2 years, every day - all day. I have taken ppi and other remedies but nothing seems to work and no doctor seems to take this serious. I need this to go away for good if possible. I honestly am so miserable, I can hardly eat or drink.
Male | 23
For chronic acid reflux that didn't respond to any treatment, it's important to consult a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation. They can recommend different medications and lifestyle modifications. If necessary, additional tests may be conducted to identify underlying factors. You may also try seeking a second opinion from a specialist..
