For the first two weeks after surgery, your diet will be restricted to liquid foods such as juice, soup, etc.

Only after three weeks will you be able to start eating soft food, which would be solid.

This answer gives a detailed timeline of when you can have what kind of food. You may go through it for more information.

If you have any questions, connect with your surgeon as soon as possible.

After jaw surgery, the time before returning to solid foods differs from one case for another due to differences in operation procedures and individual recovering processes. Patients would need to follow the liquid or soft diet for several weeks before introducing solid foods slowly. It is imperative to adhere strictly to the tailored dietary recommendations given by your oral surgeon. They can design a personalized plan for you, according to your surgery and recovery progress; this will ensure safe healing from the operation.

Female | 18

Malpositioned teeth can lead to problems such as difficulty in chewing and talking. It is the result of genetic factors or the acquisition of certain habits like sucking thumb. Braces are a well-known method for fixing such problems. They slowly shift your teeth to the desired position. Do not be afraid, as many teenagers your age wear braces, and is completely normal. But, you can visit an orthodontist to learn more about it.

I have blood gums, please tell me the medicine.

Female | 21

The swollen and red gums might be a sign of gum disease which requires special care from the dentist. Make an appointment to see a dentist who has been trained in periodontics for an accurate assessment and treatment. Please don't self meditate as it may worsen your condition
