Pregnancy Test Timing: Morning vs Evening
When is the best time to take a pregnancy test in the morning or in the evening
Social Obstetrics And Gynecologist
Answered on 12th Sept '24
The most suitable time for a pregnancy test is morning. This is because morning urine has higher concentration, making it simpler to detect pregnancy hormone (HCG) if expecting. Evening tests may yield less accurate results. So, for reliable outcomes, take the test after waking up.

Female | 23
There could be an issue with vaginal discharge. Leukorrhea is increased discharge from hormones, infections, or irritants. Signs are changes in color, smell, itchiness, or discomfort. Wear cotton underwear, keep clean, avoid scented products near your vagina. If discharge seems abnormal or doesn't stop, get checked by a gynecologist.

Two weeks after I had unprotected sex with a guy eight years ago I had potential HIV symptoms (a fever, chills etc) that lasted approximately 72 hours. I thought nothing of this at the time. Two and a half years later, I had sex with an undetectable man, but had no idea about this at the time. I found out a short time later (I think about three weeks later) and got an HIV self-test done (a fingerprick test) and it came back negative. I guess this means I'm HIV negative, seeing as undetectable = untransmissible coupled with the fact that HIV would have shown up on the test two and a half years after potential exposure, so it couldn't be a false negative result? I've had safe sex ever since, but I'm just curious as to what this could be, seeing as I didn't take another test after that due to my use of condoms. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Male | 30
If you had an HIV test that came back negative after the potential exposure and it was performed within the appropriate window period, it is likely an accurate result. Its better to get it confirmed with your gynecologist.

I am having a vaginal boils since from 1-2 months
Female | 19
It may sound like you have vaginal boils, which are red, swollen lumps that can hurt. They occur when hair follicles or sweat glands are blocked. Gently clean the area with warm water and do not squeeze them. Loose clothes and warm compresses may help. If they do not go away or they get worse, it’s a good idea to see a gynecologist for a check-up.

Pregnant women should avoid taking drugs such as MF 100 unless under a doctor’s instructions. When taken during this period, the drugs are dangerous for both the expecting mother and the baby. MF 100 may have side effects capable of harming a pregnancy. For the well-being of both the mother and child, it is vital to consult with a gynecologist before using any medications when pregnant.

Female | 25
Pregnancy is a possibility after unprotected intimacy near ovulation. Early signs include missed cycle, exhaustion, queasiness, and tender breasts. Confirming requires a pregnancy test from the drugstore. If expecting, seeking prenatal care from a gynecologist is crucial. Some signs stand out - fatigue can hit hard. Then, suddenly, nausea strikes. Other signals seem subtle initially.

I am freaking out about my chances of contracting stds. I had unprotected sex yesterday due to my bad judgement, i dont know the person sexual history. I am currently on Prep and took doxypep right after. How soon can/should I get tested?
Male | 29
If you engage in unprotected sex and you have a fear of getting STDs, you need to be examined now. It is possible that even though you are on PrEP and you have consumed Doxypep after the encounter you may still contract a sexually transmitted disease (STD). It is advisable to see a gynecologist, or a urologist for your test, and a future plan on how to protect yourself.

During or after fingering, my girlfriend experiences a lot of burning and pain, which persists for two to three days. What should we do?

She must have an infection or an injury somewhere on the vaginal area. I recommend that she should go to see a gynecologist to get the specific diagnosis and treatment. On the other hand, don't be active sexually to prevent the situation from getting worse or having further complications.

I had done an unprotected sex on 20th march and my period date is 24th march but I did not get my period and today is 30th March. Plz help me what to do?
Female | 19
Worrying when periods are late after unprotected sex is normal. Stress can disrupt menstrual cycles, yes. But pregnancy or hormonal shifts might also cause delays. Anxiousness or tension indicate stress. Taking an at-home pregnancy test provides certainty. Managing stress is key too - exercise, confiding in friends. Periods will return when the root issue resolves.

You are experiencing some irregular bleeding after taking the contraceptive pill kit. This can happen sometimes which is normal, as your body goes through hormonal fluctuations. The clot you saw is probably a result of this phenomenon. It's good to keep an eye on your symptoms and see whether the bleeding stays the same or gets heavy. If you have any problems, it's best to contact a gynecologist for more advice.

Hi, I want to know adnexal cyst can be treated with surgery only or can it be resolved with any medicine or by its own without treatment. Dr. Has given voltrel, cefixim and trypsin tablets for 5 days and CA- 125 test is been awaited. Pls suggest advice.
Female | 16
Adnexal cysts are sacs filled with fluid. They're located close to the ovaries. Some cause pelvic pain, bloating. Others don't show any signs. Surgery may remove big or painful cysts. But many small ones go away without treatment. Medicines like yours might ease symptoms. Your gynecologist will guide you based on your situation. It's wise to await the CA-125 test results to learn more.

I had my d&c on 7th Feb and my bleeding stopped in first week of March. During this I got vaginal itching and doctor inserted medicine inside me and I got spot bleeding started again.
Female | 36
You're facing vaginal itching after a D&C - that's normal. It might be an infection caused by fungi or bacteria. The medicine inserted could've irritate things, leading to some spotting. To feel better, use a gentle, scentless soap and stick to cotton underwear. But if it keeps bugging you, talk to your gynecologist again - they'll know what to do next.
