Constipation in infants often presents as infrequent stools, discomfort during bowel movements, or hard stools. Common causes include low fluid intake, insufficient fiber in the diet, or changes in routine. It's important to ensure your baby stays well-hydrated and receives a balanced diet suitable for their age. Gentle tummy massages and warm baths can also help relieve discomfort. If over-the-counter options haven't worked, I recommend discussing this with your pediatrician. They can suggest appropriate treatments tailored to your child's needs and rule out any underlying issues.

My Daughter is suffering from High cough and cold and fever also . I am giving Alex junior for cough and cold.
Female | 4
High cough, cold, and fever are common symptoms often caused by viral infections. Over-the-counter medications like Alex Junior can help ease discomfort, and ensure she stays hydrated and gets plenty of rest. Observe her symptoms closely; if the fever persists for more than a couple of days, or if she seems unusually lethargic or has difficulty breathing, it’s important to consult a Pediatrician. They can provide a thorough evaluation and guide you on the best treatment to help her feel better.

Female | 31
Hi there! You are experiencing anxiety about your daughter's poop, aren't you? It is very much understandable then. If her stools have been the same for eight months and she is not gaining weight, it may indicate an issue. Observe the appearance of her stools for any unusual changes that may indicate diarrhea, constipation, or blood in her stool. Consult a pediatrician for proper treatment.

My baby head is measuring two weeks smaller. The Dr said it's normal
Female | 32
Don't panic if your baby's head measures a bit smaller. It sometimes happens, and often it's no big deal. No symptoms might even appear. One possible reason could be the baby's position. Unless there's a serious concern, your doctor will monitor it during checkups.

The weight reading as negative may be a sign of a measurement error. The outcome of the LFT test suggests that some of the liver enzyme concentrations are not within the normal range, which might be due to several reasons like infections or liver problems. You should consult a pediatrician.

Female | 0
Babies double their weight by six months, so it's good you pay attention. If yours isn't gaining weight properly, reasons could include insufficient intake, medical issues, or natural smallness. Rather than calculating solo, discuss with the pediatrician - they'll identify the actual cause and recommend ideal steps for your little one's progress.

My kid had constant throat clearing and dry cough he feels some mucus stuck in throat but couldn't cough out..... It's been the third time in this year now.... What medicine should I give..... No runny nose and fever now....
Male | 10
It seems like your child has postnasal drip. This happens when mucus from the nose drips down into the throat, causing throat clearing sounds and a dry cough. It can happen even without a runny nose or fever. You can help by giving your child warm drinks and using a humidifier to ease the congestion. Make sure they drink plenty of water to help thin the mucus as well.

Female | 7
Taking different medicines together requires caution to prevent issues. Genalben and Finallerg syrup serve distinct purposes. While Genalben addresses certain health conditions, Finallerg syrup treats allergies. Combining them may lead to side effects such as dizziness, confusion, or upset stomach. To ensure safety, it's crucial to consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting any new medication or modifying existing ones.

What is the reason to my 45 days baby not drinking milk in two days
Male | 1.5 month
Babies usually don't drink much milk but if two days have passed and your baby is 45 days old then you should be concerned. It could be a little tummy ache, not feeling well, or maybe even a sore throat be some reasons for this. You may try to give smaller quantities of milk for a while more often and also make the temperature of the milk no colder than too cold or too hot. If this persists, it would be advisable to see a pediatrician.

Sir my son is 5 and a half yrs old and our labrador has jump d on him . He has a scratch on his hand it's vaccination date has failed by 4 days .what should I do
Male | 5
Dog scratches can sometimes get infected. Here's what you need to do: look closely at the scratch. If it gets red, swollen, or pus starts oozing out, that means it's infected. Clean the scratch with soap and water. Then cover it with a bandage. Your son missed his shots by only 4 days, so he should still have some protection. But keep a close watch on that scratch. If anything seems off, don't wait around. See a doctor right away to be safe.

We are on holiday in egypt and my 1 year old came down with a temperature of 38.5 along with a cough, snotty nose and she's sleeping alot. Her temp started last night and dropped during the day today but has gone back up tonight to 38. What should I do? When should I seek medical help?
Female | 1
A mild fever can be common in young children, often indicating a viral infection. Ensure she stays hydrated and comfortable. You may use acetaminophen or ibuprofen, following the appropriate dosage for her age, to help reduce fever and ease discomfort. If her fever persists beyond three days or worsens, or if she shows signs of difficulty breathing, extreme lethargy, or dehydration, please seek medical attention promptly. In a foreign country, it's always wise to consult a local pediatrician if you're uncertain.

My son 9 yrs old. He does competitive swimming. In last Feb, after xray doctor has told that he has 50% enlargement of adenoid. He allowed to do swimming. Child suffer cold almost once every month. Today also we checked thru endoscopy. It is still 50% as per doctor. Should we continue swimming or we need to stop..we need second opinion
Male | 9
Sometimes having enlarged adenoids can make them more susceptible to cold. Perhaps swimming is a factor that irritates his adenoids. It is important to ensure his health is not sacrificed for his swimming hobby. I suggest giving a short break to him swimming and observing whether his adenoids get better. This might help him get less affected by cold.
