Dandruff in the scalp is due to excess sebum (natural oil) production along with increased activity of a fungus called Malassezia in the scalp. Antifungal shampoos containing Ketoconazole, Ciclopirox, selenium sulphide can help treat the dandruff. If it is severe, oral antifungals are also prescribed for a short duration. Salicylic acid, coal tar shampoos are also prescribed in case of excess flakiness of scalp. Hair fall may be due to dandruff, nutritional deficiencies, stress or due to genetic factors. It is recommended to visit a dermatologist who can diagnose the cause of hairfall and may suggest treatment accordingly. Trichoscopy of the scalp may help in understanding the nature of the scalp and condition. Nutritional supplements, Capixyl containing serum, Minoxidil solution, oral supplements containing vitamin and minerals are prescribed by the dermatologist to treat the hair loss. Change in hair colour in beard and scalp may be due to nutritional deficiencies or strong hair colours or genetic causes. Dermatologist’s help may be needed to treat the same. Calcium pantothenate containing supplements may help slow down the greying and sometimes restore the colour of hair.

Dear user, the nature of your problem isn't clear, has it got something to do with darkness? spots? acne? white heads/blackheads? There could be a myriad of issues that fall under 'skin problem'. If one doctor couldn't help you, then we would suggest that you visit more, because dermatologists at times can have a different approach, and home remedies don't help. Consider discussing the following points with skin care specialists whenever you approach them:
- what treatment options do they have available for you?
- what is your skin type and sensitivity? what are the potential aggregators?
- what ingredients to avoid when buying skin care products?
- if you opt for clinically advanced treatments beyond lifestyle fixes and medicines, then which will be suited for your skin? what are the temporary side effects you would face post treatment and what risks would you probably run into? and what are the pre-treatment precautions you would be required to take?
Furthermore, a holistic approach is required to treat skincare issues, it is rarely limited to medical treatments and can encompass a variety of changes that you are supposed to follow. Also, try to approach multiple doctors and get in touch with patients of similar needs as well, so as to understand on what front your issues are being neglected. With that cleared, we would advice you to visit our page and get in touch with credible practitioners who will be answerable & experienced too - Skin Treatment doctors in Mumbai, let us know if your area of residence is different, and feel free to approach us whenever you are having any confusion!

Laser hair removal procedure (costing rs. 1,500 to rs. 55,000 per session) can slow the down the growth of hair, but for permanent hair removal, electrolysis is the only known method, and same is also recognized by the FDA. Electrolysis hair removal treatment can range anywhere from Rs 800 to Rs 5,000 per hour and is safe to use on facial area. Cost of both treatments can vary, depending on factors such as doctor's choice of equipment, location of clinic and its infrastructure, number of sessions, and area covered. Electrolysis would additionally depend on the density or volume of your hair as well. You can refer to our list of Dermatologists in India and connect with the right kind of experts if you want more knowledge on this. Also, you can approach us whenever you have any doubts. The temporary side effects of both treatments will be pain, redness and swellings. But if it's not done carefully, then you could also end up having scarring, keloid scars and changes in skin color.

DHI that is Direct Hair Implantation, is a modified version of FUE hair transplant technique, wherein process of extraction is simultaneously followed by implantation. Extraction takes place when the hair follicles are extracted, which is immediately followed by implantation when these follicles are transplanted to the recipient site. Generally it is Rs.100 per follicle but the entire treatment of DHI should range somewhere from Rs. 1.5 lakh to Rs. 4 lakh, even so, no estimate can be arrived at, without knowing the location, clinic and its infrastructure, severity of concern, hair type and area to be covered. More information regarding the unique standout point of this treatment, its features, elaborate method and what to expect, is available on our blog - DHI Hair Transplant. While pigmentation is your normal skin-shade, but hyperpigmentation is darker skin tone and hypopigmentation is on lighter side. Hyperpigmentation can be treated using creams, face acids, retinoids, chemical peels, laser therapies, dermabrasion and microdermabrasion, they are advised depending on the extent to which your skin happens to be dark. They can not only free your skin of darkness, but they also carry exfoliation benefits, and can effectively hide scars, spots and sun damage. Hypopigmentation includes treatments such as dermabrasion, chemical peel, laser resurfacing and lightening gels, but you may require other kinds of treatment if at all there's some underlying cause behind lighter skin shade. Neither type can be cured with home remedies, guidance of an expert is necessary. You are given pre-treatment tips to prepare your body before undergoing any of the therapies mentioned above, and your medical profile is checked as well. Both is done to reduce the probability of you running into any kind of risk post treatment. Coming to black spots - Above treatments should be good enough. For further guidance, you can refer to our list of Skin Treatment doctors in Mumbai, or that of any other city, whichever you feel is convenient, and sought consultation services. A dermatologist would have a better understanding of your skin type and any possible aggregators which are known to create problems for your skin, just knowing that your skin is sensitive doesn't help us in arriving at any conclusion. But we can inform you of options available with regards to skin whitening treatments and they are as follows:
Chemical peel (Rs. 1,800-5,500): in this treatment a solution composed of alpha-hydroxy acid will be applied to your skin, which will exfoliate the damaged upper layers of your skin and tackle melanin content, to expose healthy tissue beneath, this solution concentrate can be light, medium or deep, and will also effectively work against blemishes, dark spots and uneven skin tone.
Laser (Rs. 4,000-30,000): This procedure will minimize melanin content using an intense light ray. Allowing your skin to look healthier and brighter than before, it will also help in overcome tanning and dark spots.
Injections (Rs. 6,000-40,000): they can detoxify the body, save the skin from harmful UV rays and enhance your overall skin tone. But they will also contain a dosage of glutathione which can be unsafe and have severe side effects as well.
Skin lightening products (Rs. 200-20,000): This option will provide you with a wide range of creams having bleaching properties. These would be good for instant gratification but may not deliver skin deep results.
You may have to approach a highly experienced dermatologist to avail above mentioned treatments, they will conduct a check on your medical history and prepare your body before treatment, along with educating you about and treating any possible risk which you could run into post any of these treatments, you may refer from our list of dermatologists in India to get in touch with experts and obtain more information.

Apologies but we don't understand your question well. Are you asking regarding what clinical treatments are available for clearing face of all impurities? or are you enquiring regarding facial cleansing treatment? For latter you would have to approach spas/salons, but regarding clinical treatments for face, there is laser resurfacing (Rs. 4,000-30,000), chemical peel (Rs. 1,800-5,500), medicated skin lightening products (Rs. 200-20,000), and dermabrasion (Rs. 2,000-5,000) and comedone extraction (Rs. 2,000-5,000), there could be more and a dermatologist would have a better idea regarding same! We would suggest that you go for clinical treatments if any skin condition is bothering you, as they can give more effective results compared to spa treatments - Dermatologists in India.

You can start applying Minoxidil, it is an over the counter drug which comes in the form of liquid, foam and shampoo, it is to be applied on the scalp once everyday for women and twice regularly for men. It may months to be able to tell whether the treatment is effective or not, and if it does then you can continue using the medicine to retain benefits.
Possible side effects include scalp irritation and hair growth on unwanted regions such as adjacent skin of the face as well as hands.
If this doesn't works then dermatologists would have stronger medicated treatments & lifestyle hacks, and eventually surgery although your condition may improve with just some lifestyle fixes!

We are aware of following treatments with regards to skin whitening:
- Chemical peel (Rs. 1,800-5,500): solution rich with alpha-hydroxy acid will be applied to your skin, for the purpose of exfoliation on the upper damaged layers of your skin and to combat the melanin build up as well, so as to reveal healthy tissue underneath, this solution concentrate can be of 3 varieties: light, medium or deep, and will also work effectively on blemishes, dark spots and uneven skin tone.
- Laser (Rs. 4,000-30,000): Through a hand-held device a beam of light would be concentrated on the treatment region to minimize melanin content within the skin. This will allow your skin to become healthier and brighter than before, and will also help in overcoming tanning and dark spots.
- Injections (Rs. 6,000-40,000): to detoxify the body, protect your skin from harsh UV rays and enhance skin tone. It will use a dosage of glutathione however, which can be unsafe and have severe side effects as well.
- Skin lightening products (Rs. 200-20,000: This option will provide you with a vast range of creams having bleaching properties. They are good for instant gratification but results delivered wouldn't be long lasting.

We have tried to brief on clinical treatments for hair loss below:
Medication: even if it's some hormonal disorder and not necessarily for genetic predisposition.
One treatment which doesn't require clinical prescription, and what we can safely suggest is - Minoxidil: which comes in liquid, foam and shampoo forms, it is to be applied on the scalp once everyday for women and twice regularly for men. It may take you few months to be able to tell whether the treatment is working or not, and if it does then you can continue using the medicine to retain benefits.
Possible side effects include scalp irritation and unwanted hair growth on the adjacent skin of the face as well as hands.
Hair transplant surgery: You won't be hospitalized, but it is painful so you'll be given a sedation medicine.
Possible risks you may run into bleeding, bruising, swelling and infection. You may need more than one surgery to get the desired effect. But if you hair loss was hereditary, then it will eventually progress despite this surgery.
Laser therapy: limited studies have claimed that it can be beneficial.
Lifestyle fixes: such as shampoo/conditioner/oil with those ingredients which are specific to your hair and skin type, or diet changes and exercise schedule will be planned, or may be some effective hair spray.
You can start out with minoxidil, but if it doesn't works then please approach a specialist, for your convenience, we are also linking our page which might help you out - Hair Loss Treatment doctors in Mumbai, do tell us if you require list based on a different city, and also, you can approach us anytime you need help!
