Please get the hearing evaluation and speech evaluation done by an ENT and development evaluation by a paediatrician to proceed assessment of the child. This must be managed as early as possible as all forms of rehabilitation work best when the child is younger ideally under 4 years of age. Please do not delay management.

Throat with ear pain persistent despite antibiotics can mean a few things. Non responsiveness to antibiotics could mean resistance, you could have a different issue than an infection that's causing pain. Please visit your local ENT for detailed evaluation and diagnosis.

Any pill lodged in the throat will start to dissolve, so rest assured it will not stay stuck for long. You can try eating bananas or fat rich foods that can slide the pill down if it has gotten attached to any part of the throat. It is less likely to cause any major problems. If the sensation persists beyond one day, please visit your ent for a video endoscopic evaluation

If you have yellow mucus for more than 7 days and it doesn't get better with medication, it's likely a sinus infection. You might feel lousy, with headaches or facial pressure too. To help clear it up, try using a humidifier, drink plenty of water, and use a saline nasal spray. But if it persists or worsens, see an ENT specialist

These could be signs of swimmer's ear. This ear issue happens when water gets stuck inside the ear canal. The trapped water can make the ear feel dry, itchy, and irritated. You may even notice a liquid or bloody discharge coming from your ear. Don't worry, dealing with a swimmer's ear is simple. Keep your ears dry by using ear plugs or a swim cap when swimming. Avoid putting things like cotton swabs or fingers inside your ear canal. Use an ear cleaning solution made for sensitive ears. Gently rinse out the ear canal with the solution as directed. If problems continue after a few days, visit a doctor. An ENT specialist can examine your ear and prescribe treatment.

You might have allergic rhinitis. That's a fancy phrase for nose allergies. Your body reacts to stuff like pollen, pet hair, and dust mites. To ease symptoms, use a room humidifier for moisture. Drink lots of water too. Saline nose sprays can relieve dryness. If home remedies don't work, see an allergy doctor. They'll help find the cause and treatment for you.

Black fungus is a disease that can occur in people with weakened immune systems, like those who have uncontrolled diabetes. Symptoms can involve a stuffy nose, facial pain, swelling, and black crusts in the nose. Treatment every time requires antifungal medication and, in some cases, surgery. Recovery is possible with a good approach that includes beginning treatment early and it depends on the individual health condition. Find an ENT specialist to treat this condition.

You’ve had a rough time with your left ear. If the operations didn’t fully work and now your hearing is not as good, it could be due to damage or complications from the surgeries. I recommend seeing an ENT specialist for a detailed evaluation and possible solutions to improve your hearing.

You might have tinnitus, which happens when you hear ringing, buzzing, or other noises in your ears. This might happen because of loud sounds, ear infections, or stress. To get over tinnitus follow the suggestions of initiating off loud sounds, cutting the stress level, and mind covering the ringing with white noise generators. The possible cause of pain in your throat and the feeling of an obstruction in your neck might lie in benign nodes. Once in a while, these nodes can problematically press on a nerve and cause pain. Apart from that, they might also be the culprits of earache and toothache. Therefore, you must schedule an appointment with an ENT specialist to undergo the necessary diagnostic programs.

You might have an ear infection following a sore throat. You might want to try warm salt water gargles and pain relievers to ease the pain. If the pain persists, it would be best to consult an ENT specialist for further assessment and management.

It might be helpful to know that the pain you feel in the ear and neck might have been caused by an infection in the ear or neck muscles that are too tight. Additionally, pain gets even worse when a person is stressed sometimes. Try to take some time off your studies and relax, use a warm cloth or over-the-counter painkillers may relieve this pain. Ensure you get enough sleep too. If this continue, please consult an ENT specialist.

Why is my ear draining dark brown and smelly?

My ear has had weird pressure changes over the last year and has random drainage. When I clean it out, it’s always dark brown/goopy and smells really bad. Today I just pulled out a big glob of something blueish/gray and thought it was a bug. What should I do?

You might have an infection in your ear, which is causing the weird variations in pressure, dark brown/goopy drainage, bad smell, and the blueish/grey glob you found. It's called otitis externa. It's important to see an Ent specialist doctor on time to get the right medications. Refrain from inserting anything inside your ear or getting it wet.

It's important to get evaluated by an ENT specialist for the pain in your right lymph node under the jaw, especially if it worsens with chewing and swallowing. This could indicate an infection or inflammation that needs prompt attention. Avoid delaying and seek medical advice for proper diagnosis and treatment tailored to your symptoms.
