Other Details

What are the factors that affect the cost of fertility treatments in Delhi?

  • Experience of the fertility specialist: Generally, an experienced and successful fertility specialist will charge more.
  • The level of complexity of the fertility case: This is an important aspect for determining the cost. In case of complex cases where donors are used, couple has repetitive IVF failures or previous miscarriages then there may be additional cost add on's to the treatment cost.
  • The physical attributes of the patient: The factors such as the age of the woman and the previous infertility history will help decide which type of fertility treatment will be utilized. If the female is above 30 years of age the success rate with IVF reduces. Hence, doctor may directly recommend ICSI or IMSI. The advanced fertility treatments such as ICSI, IMSI cost more than traditional IVF.
  • The prerequisite of extra medications: In some cases, the woman cannot produce eggs, or the ovulation is not normal which can be because of irregular menstrual cycles. In such cases the female is given ovulation stimulating medicines. Also in some cases medications are prescribed to strengthen the uterus lining to carry the pregnancy successfully. The expense of these medications increases the overall cost of the treatment.
  • Additional services such as freezing of embryos or assisted hatching: Freezing of embryos is recommended to majority of the patients for future use. This is so because frozen embryos can be employed if first IVF cycle fails or if the couple decides to expand their family in future. Though this process reduces the future cost of the treatment but for initial IVF cycle it increases the cost.
Another additional treatment known as assisted hatching is employed in case the embryologist or IVF specialist feels that it will be difficult for the embryo to hatch out of its shell “zona pellucida”. It is a laboratory process that is done only by experienced embryologists. Hence, there are additional expenses incurred in the treatment if assistedhatching is employed.

Hello doctor I would like to know is 600 oh blood pregnant test good value ?

Female | 25

A blood test that shows a value of 600 for pregnancy is a good one. This number indicates the presence of a hormone called hCG, which is usually elevated in pregnant women. If you're sensing some symptoms such as missed periods, nausea, and fatigue, these could be signs of pregnancy.

I am 4 months pregnent sir tiffa scanning cheinchali

Female | 29

You might be considering getting a TIFFA test at the beginning of the fourth month of pregnancy. At this stage, it's essential to track the baby's progress because many things, such as growth and development, are being checked. This scan can help detect any abnormalities early on. It is non-invasive and completely safe for both you and your baby. This scan provides peace of mind and allows for regular monitoring of your baby's health during pregnancy.

My lmp is 4 July and I went for my first ultrasound scan on 27 august when my gestational age according to LMP was almost 8 weeks but the scan measured no fetus nor a gestational sac so I was recommended beta HCG test which reported 3129mIU/ml of HCG measuring to 5 weeks after two on September 10 I went for an ultrasound and my doctor said that the fetus hasn't grown after 5 weeks 3 days.. gastational sac measuring to 1.24 cm ...but my beta HCG report on the same day reported levated level of HCG measured to 6537.. now my doctor has advice to wait for another two weeks what are the chances of baby being there and is just not coming in an ultrasound because I haven't experienced as bleeding or spotting or even a change in discharge nor do I have nausea or vomiting... Although I do have headaches and I do notice Linea niagra showing up

Female | 18

Sharing the fetus's growth data might raise some concerns, but the absence of bleeding or spotting is a positive sign. However, the rising HCG levels and lack of embryo growth on the ultrasound need close monitoring. Symptoms like headaches and the appearance of Linea Nigra are common in pregnancy. Your doctor’s advice to wait another two weeks is sensible for further observation. During this time, focus on staying calm, eating well, and getting plenty of rest.

I have been trying to conceive for the past 2 and half years. My AMH level was very low- 0.4ng/mL. I had one failed IVF from one of the hospital in kerala. Then I consulted another doctor from another hospital and I was suggested to do Autologous Stem Cell Ovarian Treatment (ASCOT). My last menstrual period was April 16 2024. And my ASCOT treatment was done on April 23, 2024. From May 1, 2024 to May 3, 2024 I had a slight bleeding. After which I have not yet got my periods and my pregnancy test is also negative. On June 10, 2024 I did a Beta HCG test and AMH test. Beta HCG test result is negative and my AMH has decreased to 0.39ng/mL Is it okay that my AMH has decreased after the stem cell treatment or should it be increased? I have got an appointment on June 22, 2024 and the next treatment doctor would be suggesting is IVF. I would like to know the percentage of positive outcome after this IVF.

Female | 29

A small decrease like yours after ASCOT is usually okay because AMH levels fluctuate slightly. The success rate of the upcoming IVF can range from 20% to 40%, depending on factors such as age and health. Symptoms of low AMH involve difficulty conceiving. For fertility issues, IVF is a good option.

Male | 31

Difficulty conceiving sometimes happens due to low sperm count or motility. But you can improve sperm quality by living healthily, like eating nutritious food, avoiding smoking, limiting alcohol, and managing stress. Taking certain supplements, like folic acid and zinc, may help.

Hello ..I am trying to conceive since June 2023 ...I have PCOD I have started taking metformin and clomiphene from Jan 2024... Still not able to conceive My height is 5'1 and weight 60 kg Please help me out

Female | 30

It is difficult to become pregnant with PCOD. This leads to irregular periods and issues with ovulation, as well as increased levels of male hormones. Metformin or clomiphene may be used for regulating the menstrual cycle and promoting ovulation. Ensure you take them according to your doctor’s instructions. Fertility in women with PCOD can also be enhanced by losing weight; therefore, it is important to stay healthy.

Male | 26

Your sperm count remains commendable but, unfortunately, you have some things to look at. Despite the fact a 70% mobility rate is an acceptable level, if you experience problems with your penis, you will need to do something about it on time. Some of the notions on erection difficulties can be associated with stress, lifestyle elements, or the existing health condition. Implementing healthy lifestyle behavior, acquiring less stress, and performing regular physical exercise will contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of the penis. It is advisable to go for a consultation if the problems persist.
