Hi doctor, um, good evening. I'm coming to you today contacting a clinic with an inquiry. (0:07) So I suffer from very bad anxiety and I recently got a therapist which was only like two months (0:14) ago or so. So within that time frame I've had blood tests done, total blood count and all of (0:21) that and it turns out that I'm not anemic. So within I would say like the past weeks or within (0:27) you know the past year or so occasionally I would get like you know stomach symptoms like diarrhea (0:32) or whatever which my doctor thought was probably IBS and I would get the occasional blood or whatever (0:37) when I strain and stuff like that. So um within the past month I was stressing myself out non-stop (0:45) like I'm constantly stressing but I'm hearing people saying now that I lost a bit of weight (0:50) but my stomach, weight, my legs, my whole body they're the same. I just seem to have lost weight (0:56) within my arms and it's making me freak out because recently today I had a bowel movement and (1:02) I saw the tad little bit of blood again and I've been constantly thinking that I have collateral (1:08) aka colon cancer at the age of 22 and it's really freaking me out and I seem to just cannot (1:15) stop thinking that I have that doctor and it's making my anxiety bad and it's giving me suicidal (1:21) thoughts due to the fact that I think that I have this cancer.
Male | 22
It seems you're worried about your health, especially colon cancer. Having that cancer at 22 is rare. Your arm weight loss could be from anxiety causing muscle loss. Seeing a therapist is good, but talking to your doctor about your worries may help reassure you. Take slow, deep breaths and try relaxation methods to ease anxiety.

I am Mrs Gomes 55 years old lady suffering from upper abdomen pain from last few months and special after the meal and feeling floating
Female | 55
Indigestion occurs when the stomach struggles to break down food. This can cause discomfort, making it feel like air or gas is trapped in the belly. To help alleviate this, try eating smaller meals, avoid spicy and fatty foods, and stay upright after eating. Drinking ginger tea or taking over-the-counter antacids may also provide relief. If the pain persists, consult a gastroenterologist for further examination.

Male | 17
While colon cancer predominantly affects older individuals, understanding the potential symptoms is crucial. Noticeable signs include abdominal discomfort, changes in bowel patterns, bloody stools, and unexplained weight loss. Adopting a healthy lifestyle with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and regular exercise can help reduce risks. If you have concerns, consulting a gastroenterologist is advisable.

This could be caused by bad food, a virus, or digestion issues. Try this: eat smaller meals, avoid spicy or fatty foods, and drink plenty of liquids. If you don't feel better soon, it's best to see a gastroenterologist. They can properly assess your condition and provide medication if needed.

Doctor, My son have colostomy surgery. I want to know how much time to second OT for normal out stool process....?
Male | 2month 10days
After a colostomy operation, it may take some time for your son to have normal bowel movements. This is normal as the body needs time to adjust. It usually takes about a week for bowel movements to return. During this time, it’s important to stay hydrated, eat nutritious food, and follow the advice of healthcare professionals. If you notice any alarming symptoms such as severe pain, abdominal swelling, or no bowel movements for an extended period, consult your doctor immediately.

I have watery Diarrhoea last 2 days I take 4 roko tablet but nothing happened please help me
Male | 21
If the roko tablets weren't helpful, it could be an infection, food poisoning, or a stomach bug. Moreover, drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. Eating simple foods like rice, toast, and bananas will also help. If it continues, it's best to visit a gastroenterologist.

Loose poop is when you go to the bathroom a lot and it is watery. It can happen from bugs, bad food, or worry. Drink lots of water so you don't get dry. Eat simple foods like plain rice, bread, and bananas. If it keeps happening, talk to a gastroenterologist.

I am a 38 year old man and lately I have blood in my stool and also when I have sex with my girlfriend I have rectal bleeding. Is ejaculation related to homorroids?
Male | 38
When you see blood in your stool or have it while having sex, it might be because of hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels around the anus and lower rectum that can bleed, hurt, or itch. Ejaculation alone doesn't cause them but pushing during bowel movements or any other activity can worsen them. To relieve yourself eat more fibre, drink lots of water, and seek advice from a doctor.

Was having mild stinginess in my throat in january and was prescribed rabeloc for 1 month followed by esomeprazole for another month. After the completion of my dose my throat was fine and the medication stopped. But in 1 week I was having a severe stabbing chest pain stomach pain . Is it because I stopped the medication or something else. As before starting the medication I never had this issue.
Female | 25
Abruptly discontinuing the medication could trigger your symptoms return. Stomach discomfort and chest pain are potential side effects when stopping acid-reducing medicines too quickly. Gradually tapering off these drugs is crucial to avoid such complications. Consult a gastroenterologist to discuss the symptoms you're experiencing and receive proper guidance on managing them effectively.

Male | 12
Tummy aches, throwing up, and frequent bathroom trips are common signs of food poisoning. The key is staying hydrated; drink lots of water or rehydration drinks. Stick to simple eats like crackers or rice for now. Give your body a break and avoid spicy, greasy, or dairy items. If symptoms don't improve or get worse, see a gastroenterologist right away.

I was feeling unwell, was given some anti malarial, not much change, later typhoid was suspected, but I didn't do a test. I've been on ciproflaxacin, I feel like going for a blood check up but it might not work since I've been on medicine, am asking for advice
Male | 20
It seems that dealing with a complex situation. Being sick and taking drugs can lead to inaccurate results of a blood test. Knowing exactly what is wrong is necessary for the right treatment. Symptoms of fever, stomach ache and general body weakness are common in both malaria and typhoid. Failing to go through the test may complicate matters further. My advice is to wait for some days after completion of the ciprofloxacin course before going for a blood test. This will enable you to get clearer results about your health status.

blood on toilet paper male
Male | 23
While seeing blood on the tissue after going to the bathroom may seem to be a scary moment, it is crucial to stay calm. Allergic tearing or straining during defecation may lead to such things. Another possibility may be the presence of hemorrhoids, which are inflammation of blood vessels in the same body region. To alleviate this, add more fiber to your meals and increase your water consumption to finish the job without difficulty. If it doesn't go away, consult a gastroenterologist.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to discuss my ongoing gastrointestinal issues that have persisted despite my recent surgery for chronic constipation and rectal prolapse. I underwent a laparoscopic ventral mesh rectopexy, but I am still experiencing significant problems related to anal hypotension and hypocontractility, as well as prolonged Balloon Expulsion Test (BET) results indicative of Type 1 Dyssynergia. Despite the surgical intervention, I continue to struggle with inadequate anal sphincter tone and a reduced ability to contract effectively. These issues have led to ongoing difficulties with bowel control and frequent episodes of constipation. The prolonged BET results suggest that my pelvic floor muscles are still not coordinating properly during bowel movements. Given my history and the current symptoms, I would greatly appreciate your expertise in identifying the next steps for management. Specifically, I am interested in exploring options such as pelvic floor rehabilitation, biofeedback therapy, or any further diagnostic evaluations that may be necessary to address these issues effectively. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your guidance on how we can best proceed to improve my condition.
Male | 60
These issues might be due to problems with the pelvic floor muscles not functioning properly during bowel movements. Pelvic floor rehabilitation could help by improving muscle coordination and strength in the pelvic area, potentially aiding in better bowel control. Another option is biofeedback therapy, which uses sensors to teach you how to coordinate your muscles during bowel movements. Discuss these options with your medical team to find the best approach for you. Additional diagnostic tests might be needed to understand the situation better.

What could be causing my abdominal pain and burning sensation, with a mild enlargement in size of my liver and spleen? I'm concerned about the possibility of a serious condition like colon cancer. Can you provide any guidance or information?
Male | 19
Mild enlargement of the liver and spleen, without any focal lesions, can have various causes and may not necessarily indicate a serious disease like colon cancer. Conditions like fatty liver disease, viral infections, inflammation, etc. can be associated with the swelling of these organs.
A proper diagnosis can only be made by a healthcare professional like a gastroenterologist after considering your complete medical history.

There are various reasons why someone would get a stomachache like consuming too much and too quickly, having gas, or maybe the person might be suffering from a stomach virus. I would advise you to eat smaller portions of food, stay away from spicy foods, and drink as much water as possible. If the pain continues, please consult a gastroenterologist.

What food is best is ice cream, tea cakes, fibre flakes ok if I have chronic ibs
Male | 42
If you are suffering from chronic IBS, the best diet to go for would be easy foods on your tummy. Ice cream, tea cakes, and fiber flakes may be questionable choices. Ice cream might be the cause of your stomachache, and tea cakes are too sweet. On the other hand, fiber flakes could be a high-fiber one, which can trigger IBS symptoms such as bloating and cramps and therefore be a reason for the worsening of the condition. You should make it a point to eat unseasoned foods like rice, cooked vegetables, and lean proteins to assist in calming your stomach.

I am 27 year old Male. For the last one week, I have been experiencing fever. Before I had taken spicy food that resulted into stomach aching and I took an herbal medicine known as Kayam Churna and the situation was normal. Experiencing a fever at night never stopped. Until yesterday when I started having black stool like bitumen or tar. I have gone thrice to the washroom and the colour is the same as of now.
Male | 27
Fever, a stomach ache, and black stool could be internal bleeding. The spicy food and herbal medicine may have provoked your stomach. Black stools can be a result of internal bleeding. It is important to see the gastroenterologist immediately to get the right treatment. Sipping water is an important thing to do.
