After 45days of no periods, I had my USG that suggested PCOD with both ovaries bulky then I started on Deviry, after consulting a doctor. 2days prior to the start of medication I was involved in a protected sex for once. Now it's been 4days since last dose of Deviry, but still no periods. Is there any possibility that I might get pregnant? Please do reply

Answered on 23rd May '24
After taking deviry tablet to get periods you have to give at least 12to 15days for withdrawal bleed. As you had protected sex just once chances of pregnancy is less.

As a medical expert, it is crucial to understand that PCOD is a hormonal disorder that affects the ovaries. Deviry is a medication used to treat menstrual disorders and is not a contraceptive. Protected sex is always recommended to prevent unwanted pregnancy. If you have any concerns, it is advisable to consult your doctor.

This is low as you have mentioned that protection was used during the intercourse. However, no contraceptive method is 100% effective; there will always be a slight risk. Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOD) can lead to irregularities in your menstrual cycle, thus making periods unreliable. Deviry is a progesterone medication often used to normalize the menstrual cycle, but your period may not start immediately after completing the course. If you suspect a pregnancy, then taking the test will be wise to reassure yourself and seek advice from your doctor regarding PCOD-related irregularities of menstruation.

I had unprotected sex 2 months ago but i took a plan b right after it then i got my period but this month my period is late even though i didn't had any sexual activity for the past 2 months
Female | 18
Don't worry if your period arrives late after taking emergency birth control pills like Plan B. These medications contain hormones that may disrupt your cycle. Consult a gynecologist if your period doesn't start after more time passes.

I am an 18 year old female and a couple months ago I broke my virginity and we didn't use a condom, the second time I had sex with this person we used a condom but after the outside of my vergina starts to itch. It would itch every now and then but it wasn't bad. The third time I did it with this person we didn't use any condom and we did it in a spontaneous spot and after that the itching got worse. I don't know what to do could you please give me some advice on how to stop this. (please keep in mind that all 3 times was with the same person. Oh and by the way what I mean by the outside is the clit area)
Female | 18
Yeast infection might be why your clitoris itches. When the pH balance of your vagina changes—usually after having unprotected sex—this can occur. To relieve the itching, try using over-the-counter antifungal creams or ask for a prescription from a doctor. To avoid getting infections, always use condoms during sex.

I am 9 months pregnant . My breast are paining I am having pain while getting upstairs. My legs palso pain very much. I am having twins baby
Female | 24
One might experience discomfort as their pregnancy comes to an end, especially with the presence of two embryos. Pain in the chest can be the result of hormonal changes, whereas leg pain can be caused by the increase in weight and the accumulation of fluids. This can be intensified by climbing the stairs, which adds more strain to the body. Being able to keep the body in motion can allow one to let go of some pain, The basic rule is to drink as much water as you can and sleep whenever you can because these will be crucial. However, if the signs are getting worse or turn into severe symptoms, you should consult a gynecologist who can personally check your condition to ensure your and the pregnancy’s safety.

Female | 18
Your period missing 2 months, that's concerning. Stress, weight shifts, hormone issues, or medical conditions could cause this. Visiting a gynecologist is smart; they'll help pinpoint the reason. Maybe prescribe meds or advise lifestyle tweaks to normalize your cycle. When menstrual changes happen, get expert guidance wise. They'll examine, troubleshoot, and recommend solutions suited just for you.

Female | 23
Stress, hormonal problems, weight changes, and some illnesses can all cause period loss. Observing if any additional symptoms occur such as abdominal pain or headaches is a good thing to do. Just to be on the safe side, you should get a pregnancy test at the nearest convenience. Moreover, eat a balanced diet and regularly exercise. If the concern persists, consult a gynecologist.

Female | 17
You may be experiencing early pregnancy symptoms, such as stomach pain, cramping, breast tenderness, and unusual sensations in the breasts and back. An ultrasound at 5 weeks can sometimes be inconclusive, so it’s best not to rely on it entirely. Following up with your doctor for further examination and guidance is essential. While these symptoms are often part of normal fetal development, regular check-ups with a gynecologist can help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

I have blisters in my vagina and foul smelling water is coming out of my vagina
Female | 21
You might have a vaginal infection, which can cause blisters and a foul smell. In such situations, the causes for these symptoms could be either an infection of the natural herpes virus or a bacteria called Gardnerella vaginosis. These infections can be cured with prescribed drugs. A gynecologist's opinion is necessary for precise diagnosis and the right kind of treatment.

Im currently 7 weeks pregnant and yesterday after throwing up violently I had a small burst of red blood when I wiped my vagina. Now today there have been a couple of small brown wipes when going to the toilet not enough to reach my pad just when wiping. Should I be worried? I did some googling and found several people that said that the spotting was caused by the vomiting so not to worry.
Female | 24
Spotting early in pregnancy can occur. Sometimes, vomiting increases abdomen pressure causing spotting. Brown spotting may be old blood. Harmless usually, but monitor bleeding. Rest, drink fluids, no heavy lifting. See a gynecologist if heavy bleeding or pain.

However, If you are looking for an Ayurvedic practitioner who can give you a tailored treatment based on your particular condition, then you are in the right place. Let your current doctor know if there are any modifications to your treatment plan.

I am a 35 years old lady. Starting last month I notice that some days after Ovulation I started spotting which went for around 6 days after another 5 days I started my periods. What could be the problem
Female | 35
You've noticed spotting after ovulation, which can be alarming. This irregular bleeding suggests something's not quite right. Often it points to hormone levels being off-kilter or an issue with the uterus itself. While spotting between periods isn't unusual, tracking when it occurs is wise. Causes range from stress throwing hormones out of whack to a diet needing improvement. Treatments may involve lifestyle adjustments or medications to rebalance hormones. The best approach is monitoring your cycle carefully, and discussing it with a gynecologist.

Yeh sab symptoms hai jo kisi bhi nai activity ke baad hoti hain. Pehle relaxation ka try karein aur achhi hydration rakhein. It can be a sign of a vaginal infection, could be bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection. It occurs due to an imbalance of bacteria or yeast in the vagina, and can cause discomfort, itching, or burning in some cases. I recommend you to get an accurate diagnosis and treatment. Your doctor may give medications like antibiotics or antifungal medication, depending on the cause of the discharge.

Female | 25
Often the cause of a non-stop menstrual period that lasts 7 days can be hormonal imbalances, stress, or certain medical conditions. It’s important to ensure rest, adequate fluids, and a well-balanced diet. If it persists, go to a gynecologist. Postinor 2 meds taken twice a month can lead to irregular periods, nausea, headache, and breast tenderness.

I am a 21 year old female, I have had painless squishy lumps on my vulva for 7 years. It worries me and I don't want cancer.
Female | 21
A soft painless lump that you have observed may be one of the sebaceous cysts which are the benign growths or other non-cancerous conditions that you might have. The most common causes are blocked follicles or skin conditions. Although these swellings are generally not dangerous, it's important to seek medical advice from a gynecologist.

Female | 23
You possibly have an infection caused by bacteria. Boils and UTIs signal your body battling an illness. Strange white stuff in your vagina may mean a yeast infection. These occur when good and bad bacteria get imbalanced. See a gynecologist for proper treatment. Drink lots of water.
