Planning Pregnancy with Ventral Hernia: Possible or Risky?
Can I plan pregnancy with ventral hernia

Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 23rd May '24
Yes, it is possible to get pregnant with a ventral hernia. In that sense, it is important to see a general surgeon to discuss the extent of the hernia along with its severity before planning pregnancy. The surgeon may advise the patient to get surgery before pregnancy based on the size and position of the hernia, or closely monitor her during the pregnancy.

i had sex 3 months ago and i have got my periods 2 times and in this month my periods are delayed by 10 days. so what's the problem
Female | 20
It's normal for periods to be slightly irregular, especially after sex. Having had periods twice since then means everything is likely fine. Stress, weight changes, or hormonal imbalances can delay periods. Take care of yourself by eating healthy foods, getting enough sleep, and staying active. If you're still worried, take a home pregnancy test to ease your mind. Don't worry too much, but if your period continues to be delayed, visit a gynecologist for advice.

Hi i saw my period beginning of last month and i saw it last week now I'm seeing it again what can i do?
Female | 19
Seeing your period twice monthly can feel frustrating. Hormonal imbalance, stress, weight changes, or medications might cause this. If experiencing heavy bleeding, severe cramps, or dizziness, rest, drink lots of water, and eat iron-rich foods to replenish your body. Keep tracking periods; if this continues, speak with a gynecologist.

i am planning to get pregnant can i take enzoflam for bodybpain
Female | 25
Enzoflam is a medicine for pain relief; however, it should not be taken while pregnant because it can harm the unborn child. It is normal to have aches and pains throughout your body when you are pregnant. You could do light physical activities or soak in warm water instead of using enzoflam. Also, talk to your gynecologist for advice on which painkillers are safe to use during pregnancy.

cervical polyps recurrence is normal or strange ?
Female | 36
Cervical polyps usually come back. Sometimes, one or more of the symptoms you experience are abnormal bleeding, pain, or spotting. The cause of this is not known with certainty, but it is most likely due to the changing hormone levels in the body, or prolonged infection that has not been cured. The polyp is often removed because it is usually problem-free. The doctor should closely monitor your health to know precisely everything is normal.

Could I have a doctor or nurse take a look at my belly and measure my stomach if possible
Male | 18
The discomfort in the abdominal area may be due to different factors, such as problems with the diet and stress. However, if you have pain, bloating, or any change in your digestion. Checking your waistline can also be a way to determine if something is wrong with the stomach. I recommend consulting a gynecologist or nurse who can perform diagnostics and, if necessary, discuss treatment options.

I am 22 year old female and i have missed periods also i have tested pregnancy kit 3 times but the results are negative i am missing periods from past one and half months also experiencing excessive wetness
Female | 22
It's understandable to feel concerned about irregular cycles and negative pregnancy tests. Missing periods can be caused by various factors, including stress, hormonal imbalances, or lifestyle changes. The increased moisture may be unrelated but worth noting. To better understand your situation, consider tracking your symptoms and any changes in your routine. I encourage you to schedule an appointment with a gynecologist for a thorough evaluation. They can provide personalized care and, if necessary, run tests to determine the underlying cause and discuss appropriate options.

I am 16 year old female, suffering from extreme fatigue and had no periods from last 3 months , I have heavy and prolonged bleeding during my periods and I am having extreme weight gain
Female | 16
These symptoms such as extreme fatigue, irregular periods, a lot of bleeding, and quick weight gain that you have mentioned are not common issues for someone your age. The underlying cause of these conditions might be a hormonal imbalance say, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Therefore you must visit a gynecologist to get checked and find the best cure.

Make out with bf and now scared that I might be pregnant but there was no ejaculation or penitration as guy confirmed that not as such happened and now I'm very stressed as I have pcod and my periods come one week early as last was on 30th and end by 6th October and makeout on 21st October. What are the precautions now to be taken for not having single change of getting pregnant
Female | 28
The probability of pregnancy would stay quite low if there was no ejaculation or penetration. Your PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) could be the reason why the cycle was irregular, and that is maybe why the period came early. See if there are any weird symptoms but most likely you are not pregnant. If you're truly concerned, testing for pregnancy and calming your mind by doing the test will be a good idea.

I had sex and I had a tear on my vagina , around my vestibular fossa, I took antibiotics shots for 3 days to prevent any infection The tear doesn’t hurt anymore but would it ever heal like get glued back together ?
Female | 35
Such tears normally close all along the vaginal wall, the way a cut heals itself, they often will heal on their own unless there is a failure of the nearby anatomic structures to anchor it. The hammock fibers which support the anterior wall of the vagina might be stretched or torn leading to the cystocele. The vestibular fossa is a highly sensitive zone where you require healing time. See a gynecologist if you develop any signs of infection like redness, swelling, or discharge.

Usse flow kam hai or aaj second day hai periods aana sa phele es month ka mera thyroid test bhi hua tha toh firr didi periods ka flow normal hai ki ho jata hai kam jyada yeh firr thyroid ki wajah sa hai yeh firr koi or wajah sa ??? Please help me didi mein jyada pareshan hu .. thyroid report T3 - 1.02 ng/ml T4 - 8.20 ug/dl TSH - 6.72 ul/ml
Female | 21
Changes in flow might be a result of stress, hormonal changes, or thyroid dysfunction. Her TSH level refers to a possibility of hypothyroidism, which in turn can influence her periods. The temporary changes that you have observed could also be attributed to the emergency pill and the body's transition to normal as a result of the pill. Consult a gynecologist for individual advice and sharing your thyroid test results with her is of crucial importance. progress.

Hi, so I had a medical abortion recently (less than 5 weeks pregnant and the transvaginal scan said the embryo couldn’t be visualised yet/ it’s also my first pregnancy). After I was administered 4 pills of Misoprostol vaginally at the hospital, I started bleeding 2 hours later but it was like a regular period (a little heavier than usual and some clots/tissue much later in the day). I’ve been reading stories about intense pain and cramping etc. but haven’t experienced any at all. I took a pain med on the first day expecting a lot of pain but all I felt was some pressure in my abdomen for a few hours and a heating pad helped. It’s been around 5 days since then (proper bleeding for 2-3 days and very light bleeding on the 4th day and spotting on the 5th day). Today I stopped bleeding. Is this normal?
Female | 29
It is quite common to get different experiences in a medical abortion. Some people face severe pain, but others do not. Nevertheless, bleeding and not feeling much pain seems to be not a big deal at the moment. Every person has a different response to the drugs. Please keep an eye on symptoms such as heavy bleeding, severe pain, or high fever and alert your gynecologist in case of any. In addition, keep a low-stress pace, rest well, and fulfil the post-abortion aftercare recommendations you were provided with.

why one of my inner vagina lips is a little bit bigger than the other and kind of darker in color
Female | 17
This doesn't typically cause issues or discomfort. It occurs because bodies aren't perfectly symmetrical. However, if you experience pain or discomfort, it could indicate an infection or injury. If it concerns you, consulting a gynecologist can provide more details and reassurance.

Hi was patient having periods pain in my home country and was having pms I was proscribed with birth control pills .. now my pains are compatively. Reduced but my periods are heavy I need to know if vitamin c tablets and iron tablets can reduce heavyness of periods
Female | 30
Heavy menstruation occurs when you bleed excessively over your period. As it is, vitamin C with iron supplements can be what you need, but they may not directly reduce weight. Your body works better with iron in the presence of vitamin C to produce more red blood cells. These periods will make you lose a lot of iron thus the importance of this mineral. If they persist in being so heavy then talking to a gynecologist would be wise.

Female | 23
If you're experiencing symptoms like missed periods and pregnancy-like feelings, despite a negative test, don't worry. Stress and hormonal shifts can sometimes mimic those sensations. Still, it's wise to consult your gynecologist about any concerns. They'll examine you thoroughly to ensure all is well.

I am 19 years female and have a vaginal gas,I need help it's very painful
Female | 19
If you're experiencing vaginal gas, don't worry. It may feel uncomfortable, with pressure or pain in your lower abdomen or back, but it's generally not a serious issue. This can happen when air gets trapped, often due to things like sexual activity, certain foods, or even normal body functions. To help relieve the discomfort, try pelvic floor stretches and avoid foods that may worsen the condition, such as carbonated drinks. If the pain persists or becomes more severe, it's a good idea to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice.
