Can I take another dose of emergency pills 20 hours later if I had two unprotected sexual encounters?
Can I repeat dose of emergency pills after 20 hours as I had 2 unprotected sex after taking emergency pills
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 23rd May '24
It is not recommended to repeat the dose of emergency pills since it causes hormonal imbalance as a result of which there can be nausea, vomiting, and irregular bleeding. It would be a good idea to follow up with a gynecologist for directions on what contraceptive methods would be more appropriate.

i'm unmarried and experiencing cervix descent. i was on SSRI clomipramine for last 4 years which caused me constipation. now i'm relieved from constipation as i have lowered clomipramine's doses but it left me with cervix descent. i knew it when i was no longer able to insert my menstrual cup. earlier i would never feel cervix tip with complete finger but now i feel it's just 3 cm above my vaginal opening. what should i do?
Female | 24
You might have pelvic organ prolapse, specifically cervix descent. This happens when pelvic muscles weaken. Symptoms: feeling pressure in the vagina, bulge, trouble inserting menstrual cups. See a gynecologist to diagnose it properly. Treatment options include pelvic floor exercises or surgery.

Medicine s miscarriage hone k baad 15 din tk blood aata hai ab 15 days ho gye hai fir bhi drd ho rha hai aur bleeding bhi kyu?
Female | 26
Following a miscarriage, bleeding and pain can last for 15 days and it is a usual situation. This can occur if the remaining tissue is in the uterus. This can then develop into an infection or other complications. Hence, it is important to get treatment from a gynecologist.

Well in that case contact your gynecologist immediately. They may prescribe medication to control your bp, recommend bed rest or reduced activity, and monitor your condition closely. Maintain a low-sodium diet, stay hydrated, and manage stress.
High bp during pregnancy can pose risks, so follow your doctor's guidance for a healthy outcome for you and your baby.

Iam 35 years old female n I was wondering how did I get Cervical cancer
Female | 35
The problem of cervical cancer is caused when the cells in the cervix get as a matter of fact, out of hand. The primary connection is through the HPV virus, which is transmitted during sexual activities. Some non-specific symptoms may also be there including the following: bleeding from the unusual site the woman has never experienced before, pain during sex, and pelvic pain. The use of Pap smears and HPV vaccines is one of the ways to minimize the risk of cervical cancer. This may happen to the p. by surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy.

Female | 20
Contraceptive pills can be taken within 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex to help prevent pregnancy. However, pills are not 100% effective, and the sooner they are taken, the more effective they are. Ypu can take a home pregnancy test or talk to a gynec.

Hi I have taken pregnancy tests and they’ve come back negative.. I have irregular periods but within the last week I’ve noticed my boobs have gotten harder, my lower tummy is tender and hard, I’ve had awful mood swings and I’m very emotional, and I’m always hungry
Female | 25
Symptoms you may be experiencing can be due to hormonal changes, which may not be indicative of pregnancy. An irregular period can cause the hormone levels to fluctuate, leading to tender breasts, bloating, and mood swings. Stress, diet, and lack of exercise can also be the reasons why your body is affected this way. Try managing stress, eating healthy, and gentle exercise to help balance your hormones.

But don't fret, it's a common issue. Wait a little bit more. If your period is still not here, it's a good idea to talk to a gynecologist.

I am a 22 year old female. I had sex with a condom on 11th of July which is two days after my ovulation date. After the sex, I took an emergency pill (eazy pill) just to be certain. On the 18th I started bleeding and it stopped on the morning of 20th. I'm expected to get my period today the 23rd but all I'm feeling is weird abdominal cramping and the constant need to poop. What could this indicate?
Female | 22
It is normal to feel down at some point, especially after taking the emergency pill. The bleeding and cramping you're experiencing can be side effects of the pill, caused by hormonal imbalance. The strange abdominal pain and the frequent need to use the bathroom may also be due to these hormonal changes. Make sure to stay hydrated and rest well. If you continue to feel unwell, it is advisable to discuss your condition with a gynecologist.

I am 35 Yr old female. Me and my husband have been trying for a baby for sometime. This time, I was 5 days late for my period and I thought I was preg. But 6th day I got blood when I wiped with tissue. But urine there was no blood. 2 full days have been over. My total blood flow has been 1 pad full only. This is different from my usual periods. I don't have major cramps like how I used to have during menses. My cramps are very mild. What should I do?
Female | 35
You are experiencing some changes in your menstrual cycle. It is commonplace to have spotting and minor cramps during the first few weeks of pregnancy. If your menstruation is starting, it might be a little different. Stress, hormonal changes, or even lifestyle factors could be some of the reasons for this. If the symptoms continue or worsen, you should talk to a gynecologist to get personalized advice.

My periods are 3 days late
Female | 21
Sometimes, stress or changed routines affect your cycle. Your hormones and PCOS could also be reasons. If sexually active, pregnancy is possible. Stay calm, eat right, and if it persists, seek advice from a gynecologist. Late periods happen, but prolonged delays need attention.

Hello. What can it be am having yellow urine, sometimes I feel very hot, nipples are also a little bit painful, and mild cramping sometimes
Female | 22
You might have a urinary tract infection. The yellow urine could be a sign that you're dehydrated or have an infection. If you're also feeling feverish, along with sore nipples and cramps, that's no fun. Try drinking more water—it might help. Plain yogurt could also be soothing for your stomach. But if things don't get better soon, see a gynecologist.

Two days after periods, sperm dripped on the vagina. No penatration happened. Is there possibility for pregnancy?
Female | 25
No penetration equals a low chance of pregnancy. Early symptoms of pregnancy are missed periods and morning sickness. If you spot such signs, think about getting a pregnancy test. To prevent pregnancy, next time you should think about using protection.

I had sex on the 20th of this month and my last period was on the 27th last month which I took post pills the day after the sex, will I still be pregnant?
Female | 25
The above-mentioned period is your last one that happened on the 27th of last month and your sexual intercourse took place on the 20th of this month which leads you to take post pills after which there is a chance you might still be pregnant because those pills are most effective. Pregnancy may cause such symptoms as a missed period, nausea, and breast tenderness. To be sure, take a pregnancy test or speak with a gynecologist.

Am 22 unmarried girl i fell in urine place strange condition There is a condition that I feel like urinating but it does not come. But no pain And even during urination I do not feel any pain etc. and itchness etc. And my urine place is color is red Please tell me if this is dangerous or not? and my vagina inside white color like mucous
Female | 22
You may have a urinary tract infection (UTI), which can be behind the urge to urinate more often and cause red urine. The white discharge could be a sign of a yeast infection. Medications are the treatment option for UTIs and yeast infections. It is essential to visit a gynecologist for diagnosis and correct treatment. Besides drinking plenty of water and adhering to good hygiene practices, these infections can also be prevented.

I pass frequent clots during my periods. Is it normal and what are reasons for blood clots?
Female | 35
Getting blood clots during periods is common. Formation of a blood clot occurs when blood becomes thick and sticks together. They can be of a larger or smaller size and mostly are not of a grave concern. However, if you experience either large clotting or frequent occurrences, it is best to consult a gynecologist.

Make out with bf and now scared that I might be pregnant but there was no ejaculation or penitration as guy confirmed that not as such happened and now I'm very stressed as I have pcod and my periods come one week early as last was on 30th and end by 6th October and makeout on 21st October. What are the precautions now to be taken for not having single change of getting pregnant
Female | 28
The probability of pregnancy would stay quite low if there was no ejaculation or penetration. Your PCOD (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) could be the reason why the cycle was irregular, and that is maybe why the period came early. See if there are any weird symptoms but most likely you are not pregnant. If you're truly concerned, testing for pregnancy and calming your mind by doing the test will be a good idea.
