Could Abdominal Pain Be Linked to Liver Problems?

Pain in abdomen and liver issue

Dr. Samrat Jankar

Surgical Gastroenterologist

Answered on 18th Mar '25

Experiencing discomfort in your abdomen can stem from various factors, including digestive issues, inflammation, or liver conditions. Common symptoms might include bloating, nausea, or changes in appetite. It's essential to maintain a balanced diet, stay hydrated, and manage stress, as these can significantly impact your overall health. However, due to the complexity of abdominal pain and its possible connections to liver health, I recommend seeking a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation.

I am 16 year old and have been facing nausea and feeling of fullness after eating.I also feel heart burn once in a week and these increase when I am in public or have exams comming up. I have have these for 6 months .Is it possible to have these symptoms because of anxiety?please tell that I don't have something like functional dyspepsia

Male | 16

You mentioned numerous problems that have tortured you in the last 2-3 months - like nausea, fullness after a meal, and heartburn. That can be a sign of anxiety. However, you say that they tend to become aggravated during high-pressure situations such as exams that may lead to that. Anxieties can lead to digestion problems and anticorrelated symptoms. Do some techniques like deep breathing or walking to reduce the stress level. Smaller and more frequent meals can also be of help to avoid your pain.

I have stomach ache from yesterday pain is like muscle cramp pain and in the lower right side of abdomen it hurts to press hurts while walking breathing or moving

Male | 18

You could be dealing with appendicitis. Your appendix might, thus, be inflamed. The symptoms are severe pain in the lower right side of your stomach, feeling sick, and appetite loss. This pain can worsen when you move, breathe, or press on it. The best thing to do is to go to the hospital immediately. Appendicitis needs surgery for correction.

MY child is having stomach ahe and scanned US. it is saying urinal bladder infection. He voimtted in morning and now saying head ache

Male | 4

Stomach aches, headaches, and vomiting are all common indications of various types of problems, including an infection in the bladder. This disease, usually prompted by bacteria, can cause symptoms such as stomach pain and gastro. Keep track of your child’s water intake and let him/her get some rest. Among other things, remember that you can use non-prescribed drugs if it helps but, always, first consult a gastroenterologist.

I accidently chewed Cyra-d, is it issue, I drank lot of water of it

Male | 22

Cyra-D can give rise to some issues when chewing it. This might cause symptoms such as stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Drinking plenty of water will help rinse it off. If you still feel unwell or experience any serious symptoms, such as shortness of breath or severe pain, it is important to seek help immediately by going to the hospital.
