Abdominal discomfort can arise from various factors, including digestive issues, muscle strain, or even reproductive health concerns. It's important to observe any accompanying symptoms, such as changes in bowel habits, fever, or persistent pain. In many cases, simple lifestyle changes, such as dietary adjustments and hydration, can provide relief. However, if the discomfort continues or worsens, seeking professional evaluation is key. A gastroenterologist can offer a thorough assessment and address any underlying conditions.

Hi. I ate leftover food from last night for lunch. It was in the microwave last night and morning time I put it in the refrigerator. It didn't smell bad when I smelled it and it didn't make me sick when I ate it. But I was worried to much if I made a mistake eating it. So I forced myself to throw it out. Please advise ????
Female | 22
Consuming food that has been out of reach for a certain amount of time might result in food intoxication. The symptoms of food poisoning may include aches, discomfort, cramps, nausea, and vomiting. If there is no evidence of these symptoms after you eat the food, it's likely that your body didn’t react.

Hi, 45f, Caucasian. History family of cancer from father side (prostate) and liver (grandmother) Started developing GI symptoms 2 years ago. Main symptoms are pain/discomfort on the epigastric region, increased burping, nausea and loss of apetite and normal stools intercalated with mushy stools. Did several FBC, stool test for blood and HPylori, and US, all normal apart from uncomplicated gallstones. After being put on PPIs for 2 weeks I felt slightly better but the symptoms kept coming and going. Pushed for another GE appointment and had a Upper endoscopy done that revealed excessive bile in stomach and non working LES. Again was advised PPIs for 3 weeks and that's it. I keep on having on and off symptoms and had had another stool test that came back negative. I'm scared this is a gastric cancer, can you please advise? Thank you!
Female | 45
The symptoms you mentioned—such as pain, burping, nausea, and changes in appetite—can be caused by various conditions like gastritis or GERD. Excess bile in the stomach or a weak LES (lower esophageal sphincter) could be contributing to your discomfort. It's a relief that your tests have ruled out serious conditions like cancer. It’s important to monitor your symptoms and work with your doctor to manage them, possibly with medications like PPIs. Your gastroenterologist will continue to follow up if any issues persist.

Iam 19 years old, male,I have gas leaking from my anus and it ruins my relationships, I have H-Pylori and I have duodenum inflammation. So I need help to get rid of this leakage.
Male | 19
You may have a problem known as anal incontinence. This term refers to the inability to control your bowel movements or flatulence. This issue may be connected with your H-Pylori and inflammation in the duodenum. When the muscles in the anus become slack due to digestive disorders, an individual may experience involuntary passage of wind. To control this complication, it is recommended that you eat a balanced diet containing fiber as well as avoid foods that can trigger it. You can also do pelvic floor exercises which will help in strengthening these muscles. Don’t forget to keep seeing your doctor concerning H-Pylori and duodenum inflammation because treating them can also relieve the signs.

Headache and dizziness are symptoms of many things such as dehydration stress or also the lingering effects from the bug itself. Help your body heal by making sure you drink enough water and rest. You're dealing with hyperacidity, gas, and indigestion which can be pretty uncomfortable. Maybe it feels like you are stuffed with air and you have the following symptoms: burping out and having a sour taste in your mouth, tummy pain. This usually happens if you eat too quickly or have spicy foods. If you want to ease your symptoms, you could eat more slowly, cut back on spicy food, and take short walks after meals. Besides that, drink enough water.

Constipation is a condition when you find it difficult to regularly to poop. It may be that your health conditions are the reason for it. Fiber-rich foods, such as fruits and vegetables, as well as plenty of water, are important. Additionally, try to incorporate some more physical activity into your daily routine, even a short walk can make a difference. My husband prolapsed his rectum many weeks ago, I believe it's an internal prolapse, but it is external too. He's having a lot of issues. Constipation, gas (all day every day), trouble with urinating, always feels like he needs to go to the bathroom. He has had bleeding before. As well as sexual dysfunction. He has seen a GI dr but they did not do an exam and check him. He's gone to the er for this one time, and they also did not do an exam. He will literally spend 2 hours in the bathroom, multiple times per day, Yelling, crying, and in pain. If I take him to the er will they even help him? What would/could/should they do?
Male | 40
From what I gather, your husband might have a serious rectum problem known as rectal prolapse. This might give way to a number of annoying symptoms including constipation, gas, urination problems, frequent toilet visits, bleeding, and sexual dysfunction. He must first obtain the best medical assistance. The ER or gastroenterologist should perform a physical examination and may even recommend treatments such as surgery to repair the prolapse.

The recommended approach is resting, drinking plenty of water to prevent dehydration, and avoiding spicy or fatty foods. Consume bland items like crackers and plain rice to soothe your stomach. Hi I have a very silly question. I had a gastroscopy without sedation. Is it safe to have 1 glass of wine with a friend ? The numbing throat spray has worn off.
Female | 46
After a gastroscopy, do not take too much force on your body. The glass of wine can hurt your throat because the numbing spray has already worn off. You might feel some mild discomfort or have a little acidity. It's better to wait one or two days before relishing that wine.
