You might be suffering from a type of skin infection known as folliculitis. This occurs when hair follicles accumulate bacteria. Keeping the area clean and dry is a good way to recover and loose clothes might help to relieve the pain. Another way to reduce the discomfort is by applying a warm compress on the affected area.
