Why do I have itchy and painful upper thighs?

doctor i am having itchy and pain near my upper thighs but not on my vagina please help its so itchy and pain like there are some pimples and like some rash

You might be suffering from a type of skin infection known as folliculitis. This occurs when hair follicles accumulate bacteria. The symptoms you mentioned are typical of this problem: itchy, painful, pimples, and red, bumpy rashes. Excessive heat, humidity, friction of clothes, or shaving irritation can cause it. Keeping the area clean and dry is a good way to recover and loose clothes might help to relieve the pain. Another way to reduce the discomfort is by applying a warm compress on the affected area. A dermatologist should be consulted if there is no improvement.

Ingrown nail. Looking for dermatologist

Male | 23

In case of an ingrown nail, it is recommended to visit a dermatologist. They can evaluate the severity of the other ingrown nail, provide its proper care and offer treatment alternatives. In mild cases, soaking the affected area in warm water and lifting gently under the ingrown edge may work. On the contrary, in case of more severe ingrown nail or recurrent one surgical intervention is indicated. Do not try to deal with it yourself to avoid complications or infections. The healthcare professional should be consulted for proper treatment specific to your case.

I am having dull and dehydrated skin and dark spots.. Since 3 years I have pimple on nose later I poped it and it turned out to be a dark spot on my nose ???? ..

Female | 14

It seems like your skin is dry and lacks brightness; besides the pimple scars on your nose. Skin becomes dull due to lack of water in it. Spots get darker as a result of spots. Drink water and wash your face regularly using mild soap then apply lotion too. In addition, you can wear sunscreen to prevent the darkening of these patches further.

With all the well-accepted bridal services, some packages include facial procedures, hair care like massages, and nail care at an additional fee. These packages aim to give you a completely new feeling for your significant day. Remember to be cautious about new products and spa treatments before the event, as they may cause skin problems or sensitivity. Always do a patch test when trying new skincare products.

My boyfriend has an infected wound in his calf which started of as a small itchy spot that later became a red spot and later an infected wound that's made his the surrounding area swollen right down to his ankles. The glands in his groin are now painful too. Please advise what type of antibiotic would be suitable for this?

Male | 41

Your boyfriend may have a severe skin infection that’s spreading. The redness, swelling, and pain—coupled with swollen glands in the groin—indicate that it might be a bacterial infection. To cure this, he may require a course of antibiotics such as penicillin or cephalosporin which can help to fight off the infection. It is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible to avoid further complications.

Salmon patches on her face from her birth so i m worried about and how its solve problem

Female | 3months

Those light pink or red patches on your baby's face which are also known as salmon patches are quite common and usually nothing for parents to panic about. They occur when small blood vessels are near the skin. No need for treatment as they usually disappear on their own by the time the child is 1 to 2 years. Simply keep the area clean and protect against direct sunlight.

While cutting pubic hairs down there, I have cut myself from scissors. Can this cause tatnus. What should I do?

Female | 27

Tetanus disease comes with some toxic dirty cuts that make swallowing very hard as well as stiffness of muscles generally. Such people should ensure the scratch is germs-free by washing it with water and soap and then applying any antiseptic. One should also note that if you have not had any tetanus vaccination within the last ten years, make sure it is done as soon as possible to prevent further infections.

My baby is 1.8yr old girl...she got fine hairs at her private part and underarms and little facial hair also...it's from birth....her dad also got much hairy skin..is it normal about her

Female | 1

It’s normal for your 1.8-year-old daughter to have fine hair in those areas. It could be because her dad is hairy – sometimes it runs in the family. These hairs are not a problem and do not require any treatment. As she gets older these hairs may become thicker, but that is fine too.
