I have gone through hair transplant surgery 4.5 months ago. I am suffering from Androgenetic Alopecia. As per the doctor, I am taking minoxidil and finastride on daily basis. However, my hair sheds while I apply minoxidil (10-15 hairs shed) and while I wash my head. Please suggest whether this is normal or should I consider any other treatment?
Hair fall is natural. As the lifecycle of hair has different stages.
- Telogen and exogen are shedding phases of hair cycle where we lose hair. 15 to 20% hair are shed in these phases, therefore it's natural.
- But when you lose more hair than routine, then its a matter of concern. Upto 30 to 40 hair per day is normal. Whatever you lose will grow back according to your hair cycle.
- If you are losing thin hair very frequently then it's alarming as well.
- After starting minoxidil hair fall increases. But that is normal and you will get those hair back because you are not losing them from the root.
Keep using minoxidil and finasteride it will help you.

Hi , I had a blind comedones under my face skin , and it is for 2 years now and its not inflammed it's just like a black head but without head and the doctor tried more than 2 times to remove them by extraction but with no result (they were deep) so we had to do them by laser to open up a hole and extract them but the inside were solid so after the session there were holes and one of them is big. My question is are they leaving scars ? I will leave a picture after 3 weeks from the procedure …. My doctor is saying that it will take time to heal ? I’m afraid they will leave a permanent scars

I am 23 years old and I did a breast surgery on 17th of march 2024 for removal of lump. The wound is yet to heal now. Few days after the surgery i noticed leakages from the stitches so i went back to the doctor then he stitched it again whivh made the healing process very slow. What can I do to heal the opened wound on my right breast? I find it difficult to bathe. I had an operation on back side of my head in which the area was infected with an infection called carbuncle and it was cut to remove it and then the skin there regenerated soon, but its 3 years and the hair there hasn't grown yet. the diameter of that are is approx 5cm.
