As such gall bladder (GB) surgery, cholecystectomy is harmless surgery, however like any procedure / surgery, there are possibilities of complications like bile duct stricture, bile duct leak, diarrhoea, bleeding, etc. these complications are more likely if surgery is done for complicated gall bladder disease like GB empyema, GB impending perforation.

Am suffering in stomach pain stomach bloating and pain below left rib cage food not digesting properly
Male | 30
You likely have gastritis, which refers to the inflammation of the stomach lining due to irritants. Gastritis can result in various symptoms including pain, bloating, and digestion difficulties. Pain that occurs below the left rib cage may also be a possible result of gas accumulated in the colon. The causes of these problems may be attributed to eating too fast, spicy foods, stress, or an infection. To improve your health, eat smaller meals, avoid spicy foods, and practice stress management.

Having pain in lower stomach
Female | 33
Pain in your lower stomach can be a trouble. As an example of several reasons for such pain are gas, constipation, and in the case of women, periods. Sometimes, infections in the bladder or bowels can also lead to this pain. For constipation, drinking water and eating fiber-rich food may help you, or even a warm bath for period pain. If the pain persists or worsens, inform a gynecologist so they can assist you in feeling better.

I was diagnosed with Antral Gastritis and Esophagitis LA grade B in endoscopy in March 2020. Curretly, I am taking VONOMAC 20, LESURIDE 25, and CIZASPA-X empty stomach in morning once, along with IMBISEM XP spray for b12 after lunch. Can I take SORBILINE SYRUP (2 tsp) with these medicines to reduce my digestive troubles and extreme acidity? Is it safe to take this liver syrup with my ongoing gastric medicines (empty stomach daily) and b12 spray?
Female | 35
Sorbiline syrup can be of help in cases of digestive troubles and acidity. The product includes natural extracts from the liver for better digestion. Although it is usually safe to take with your current medications, it is still a good idea to check with your doctor first to avoid any interactions. You should strictly adhere to Sorbiline syrup's recommended dosage.

I have an episode of watery diarrhea for 5 days Stool analysis showed only mucus, with no parasites and 0-1 WBC's. I have had my last colonoscopy in September 2023, and it was clear from any lesion, inflammatory bowel disease symptoms or any other clinically significant finding. In 2020 I also had another colonoscopy with some specimens to check for microscopic colitis but the specimens were negative. I need to know what is wrong with me and what is the reason for this diarrhea. Blood test showed no Anemia (apart from my Thalassemia minor) , liver enzymes are normal, lactate dehydrogenase normal, CRP and ESR are normal. I need help . .
Male | 44
A positive result from your last two colonoscopies, showing no inflammation or IBD, is reassuring. Mucus in your stool might be due to irritation. Diarrhea can result from various causes, including infection, certain foods, or stress. Since your test results aren't alarming, try drinking lots of fluids, sticking to a soft diet, and letting your gut rest. If the diarrhea persists, consult your doctor for medical advice.

Female | 25
Swelling can happen for many reasons, like gas, constipation, or eating too much salt. It can also be a sign of something more serious, like a hernia or fluid buildup. Watch for other symptoms, like pain or changes in your bowel habits. If the swelling doesn’t go away, see a gastroenterologist.

I have done fistula surgery before 1.5 month ago. Today when I apply a cream in my anus.i see there was a blood. And then i wipe with cotton 3-4 times.
Male | 27
Some bleeding is normal after a fistula surgery, and one can frequently observe it. The irritation caused by the cream could make the area bleed. It might be a little patch that is perfectly normal. Avoid using harsh cream or disinfectants and keep the area clean. In case of continued or worsening of bleeding, it is better to contact your surgeon. Don't be scared, the after-effects of this kind of surgery are typically not serious.

been under investigation for upper left sided stomach and chest pain for about 2 years now. The pain usually comes during strenuous activity causing me to stop what I’m doing. I had a hiatus hernia which recently got repaired by surgery to stop the acid reflux but doctors did not think that this would stop the pain I was getting which it hasn’t! I’ve had CT scans which have supposedly been normal, an ultra sound which shown an enlarged spleen and an hematoma on the spleen. (Doctors don’t seem concerned by this) Bloods are also fairly normal as been told nothing stands out. Not sure what causes this pain as it’s interfering with every day life
Male | 25
You've been through a lot with this ongoing pain, especially after having surgery for a hiatus hernia. Since the CT scans and ultrasounds have shown an enlarged spleen and hematoma, it's important to follow up with a gastroenterologist or a hematologist. They can help you understand whether these findings could be related to your pain and guide you toward the right treatment.

Dehiscence stomach wound almost closed but bleeding a little is that ok, wearing eakin wound pouch
Female | 52
The stomach wound seems unhealed, and some bleeding persists. The reason is that the wound hasn't fully closed. It's good that you are using a wound pouch. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry, and apply gentle pressure to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding continues, contact your gastroenterologist.

My mother. Aged. 71. She is suffering from motions.
Female | 71
When someone has the motions, it means she might be passing a lot of stools or watery ones. It could come from a tummy bug or, maybe, something she ate. The best thing to do is to get her to drink lots of water to replace the fluids she has lost and to eat bland foods like rice or bananas to calm down her stomach. If it continues to be the same, a gastroenterologist can be of assistance.

Female | 15
In their mouths and saliva, rats carry dangerous germs. If you eat food that happened to be gnawed on by a rat, you might develop symptoms such as stomachache, vomiting, or diarrhea. Ensure that you take plenty of water to keep yourself well-hydrated then look out for any serious signs like high fever. Just in case they occur, visit a doctor who will evaluate your condition further.

My mother under went ultrasound scan of abdomen and Pelvis, Here are the findings Cholelithiasis with Gall Bladder Mass: The presence of multiple gallstones and a mass almost completely filling the gall bladder lumen requires further evaluation with a CECT abdomen. Possible Metastatic Lymph Node: The lesion near the porta hepatis could be a metastatic lymph node, warranting further clinical and lab correlation. Need to know what does that mean
Female | 50
Your mum may have gallstones and a growth in her gallbladder according to the results of the ultrasound. Gallstones can cause pain in the upper abdomen or back, nausea, and vomiting. The mass in the gallbladder needs further investigation so another scan should be done. Also, the possible lymph node near the liver area might need more testing to know what it is. Your mum needs to see her doctor again and talk about what to do next as well as the treatment options for these things.

I'm 29 years old . I have problem in stomuch just below chest at middle when I eat and drink water after some time I the irritation starts at that point some times acid reflux also aoccurs. This is happens from Last 5 years. This pain stoped last 4 months but it again comes
Male | 29
You may be having acid reflux. Stomach acid goes up your food pipe bringing irritation and pain. Thus, the muscle between the stomach and the food pipe weakens, which may cause this to happen. Do not eat large meals, avoid eating any spicy foods, and do not stay upright for a long time. If the pain is still present, visit a gastroenterologist.
