Hi, Im 25 gear old women. I found lil lump on my lower abdomen and its painful when i touch as like acne in face but lil bigger compared to face acne. And i dont know whether pus is there or not as the other layer skin was thick. I initially thought it was a heat boil as i have boil in bum at the same time. But now that boil was healed and this one still there. So i was panic whether its normal or fatal. Please assist me. Fyi i was married just one month back. Thanks in advance!

If you are having recurrent acne this is probably due to the hormonal fluctuation which results into increased oily skin on the face, the scalp, chest and there are few things that has to be taken care. One thing not to apply hair oil, avoid having dandruff or use anti-dandruff shampoos weekly on the scalp, using face washes that have salicylic acid or glycolic acid. Avoid using thick greasy moisturizers or cream on the face. Use only creams that are gel based or water based. Drink plenty of water, avoid fat or cheesy diet, exercise 10-15 mins of the day. Topical steroids have to be avoided. Topical antibiotics like Clindamycin are useful. Oral Antibiotics or retinoids are advised. Even some patients require peeling sessions. A proper consultation with dermatologist is more helpful.

My father is having a problem like he is having a allergy on complete body when ever he is using any type of hair color he has consulted to many doctors dermatologists but he is not able to find any solutions and all the doctors has recommended him to excuse hair color for life time and strictly told him not to use any type of hair color but he dont want white hair. How can I get a prescription for Hydroquinone or Albaquin 20% for pigmentation on my face. Had Depigmentation in the past in England, where I reside for extensive vitiligo. Hello, I have a wart/verucca for a few years now, a couple of days ago it was painful and i noticed that it was all yellow around, like it was inflamed, so i tried to drain it and i cut the inflamed part to the point where all 7 layers of my skin was gone and it left a hole, the dimensions of the area is about 1.5cm and it doesnt hurt anymore, should i be concerned or will it heal on it own?

Sun tan is quite common because of unprotected sun exposure. This is because of excess production of melanin or excess accumulation of melanin in the skin layers in response to UV rays. Moles are formed due to arrest of melanin producing cells in skin layers where they continue to produce melanin which collects to form flat or raised moles. Tan can be treated by using certain depigmenting creams which contain glycolic acid, kojicacid, alpha arbutin etc which have to be used under the supervision of a qualified dermatologist. Procedural treatment like chemical peels and laser toning with QS yag laser can help. Most important is religious use of sunscreens to prevent further tan and improvement of skin. Moles can be treated by radiofrequency ablation, punch excision or Q-switched yag laser. So please consult a qualified Dermatologist.
