How long does sperm live in the anus?
Sexologist
Answered on 18th Dec '24
Sperm does not generally live long in the anus. The environment of the rectum is unfavorable because sperm cannot survive under these conditions due to inappropriate pH, temperature and cervical mucus. Sperm viability is short lived other than the perfect conditions of woman’s reproductive system. After ejaculation, the sperm in the rectum faces various factors that cause it to degenerate rather quickly. Pregnancy is not a risk of engaging in unprotected anal intercourse as the sperm would have no chance to survive in rectal environment. When there is a concern of contraception or fertility in discussions, one must use the appropriate methods and seek health care professionals for specialized advice based on individual conditions.

Sperm require specific conditions to survive and move effectively. In the anus, which is part of the digestive system, the environment is not suitable for sperm survival.

It is possible for pregnancy 7 day of her period
Female | 22
You can get pregnant even a week after your periods. This happens due to ovulation - egg release from ovaries. You might then experience missed periods, tiredness, and nausea if pregnant. Using protection during intimacy lowers pregnancy risk.

Can I get pregnant after my periods of good 7 days
Female | 24
Yes, you can still get pregnant after your period, even if it's been a week. While the chances are low.. right after your period, it's still possible because the body can release an egg at different times. Take a home pregnancy test to confirm.

Any reason for blood during or after given should be taken seriously. In this case, it is highly recommended that you consult a specialist in gynecology/urology to identify the problem. Given the diagnosis, it can be specified whether the bleeding is menstrual or another underlying reason is there for it.

Diabetes patients have a slim chance over time to witness such a development. Ovarian cancer has various signs including symptoms like bloating, frequent urination, and abdominal pain. It usually happens due to alterations in the cells of the ovaries, but the precise reason is often unknown. Treatment may be either surgery, chemotherapy, or a combination of both. Your mother's treatment team will determine the best approach for her particular case.

My last period was on 26 th April and I have sex on 8th May after that I got little bleed now I am very scared , I don't if I got pregnant or not as I don't want, and I am on no medication
Female | 27
The spotting you had can be from implantation bleeding- when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterus wall. It sometimes results in light bleeding which is mistaken for a period. Take a home pregnancy test just to be sure. You can purchase it from a drugstore and follow the instructions. It’s the easiest way to confirm whether you are pregnant or not. If you are still not sure, visit a gynecologist.

Dear doctor I found my pregnancy test positive 5 days ago ,but unfortunately today I feeling lightly bleeding
Female | 25
Light spotting during early pregnancy happens frequently. This implantation bleeding occurs when the egg attaches to the uterus. It usually isn't concerning and may come around when your period is due. However, rest and avoid strenuous activities to be cautious. Monitor the bleeding closely - contact a gynecologist immediately if it gets heavier or you have severe cramps.

It gives me a lot of pain The pain is so much that tears came out of my eyes. I still wear adult dippers.please tell me the reason for this
Female | 20
You are facing the issue of a urinary tract infection (UTI). The bacteria need to invade the urinary tract to cause discomfort and an increase in urination, which is how UTIs happen. Marriage is a factor that increases the chances of a woman getting a UTI because of greater sexual activity. UTIs can be treated by drinking a lot of water and visiting a gynecologist for antibiotics.

Thank you Doctor , I visited as per your advice . Now it's diagnosed that I have low lying placenta( placenta previa)reaching the os- CRL approx 5.25cm. Is this good or bad ? ( my gynaecologist didn't explain me that well, I tried searching in youtube/ google but almost all were unsatisfactory ). ( by the way I'm 39 years, this is my third pregnancy ,previous deliveries were cesarean. I got pregnant this time with iud due to that I was slightly bleeding for 18 days with mild abdominal pain with small blood clot ,luckily the iud was removed)
Female | 39
Having a placenta positioned low, close to the cervix, with a CRL of 5.25cm, presents potential risks like bleeding. Considering your third pregnancy and previous cesarean deliveries, close monitoring by your gynecologist is crucial. Avoid strenuous activities or heavy lifting. In severe cases, bed rest may be recommended by your doctor.

These signs may come from a hormonal imbalance, problems with your thyroid gland, or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Hormones control periods as well as can affect weight and hair. To find the cause and suggest treatments such as hormone therapy or some lifestyle changes. Ask for tests that should be conducted by a gynecologist.

Can u bleed at 6 weeks? Just a little and stop?
Female | 19
Yes, it is possible to bleed lightly for 6 weeks of pregnancy, and at last, it stops. This is appendicle and known as implantation training. When the fertilized egg sticks to a uterus lining it happens. Remarkably, if the blood loss is minuscule and the patient does not feel pain, everything is okay. However, in contrast to this, long-term, or if the folks feel hard pain with bleeding, they have a hand-set in consultation with the gynecologist.

Female | 19
Missed periods, bloating, lower stomach pain, and spotting are all signs of hormone imbalance which can be caused by stress among other things like pregnancy etc. The exercise activity from April’s first week might have affected your cycle. Monitor these symptoms plus your menstrual cycle for the next couple of weeks. If they worsen, see a gynecologist who will give you further instructions on what steps to be taken.

It is important to bear in mind that a negative pregnancy test could also be due to such other factors as hormonal imbalance, thyroid issues, or polycystic ovarian syndrome. I encourage you to visit a gynecologist for a thorough check-up and that may pinpoint the exact reason behind the missed period.
