Why am I spotting for 3 days at 22?
I’m 22 years old. I have been experiencing a spotting for 3 consecutive days.
Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 31st Dec '24
Spotting may appear for different reasons, for example, hormonal changes, stress, or starting a new contraceptive method. It can also be related to ovulation or early pregnancy. While sporadic light bleeding is normal, consistently irregular menstrual cycles are a concern. I suggest that you record any other indications, such as discomfort or altered flow. A check-up with a gynecologist is the right step for a complete evaluation. They can offer specific information and discuss health matters in the background, ensuring that the care you receive is in line with it.

I got periods for 5 days but this time in the 5 days I don't have flow I was just spotting and a little flow and now it's more than 5 days I am still spotting same suggest me something for that
Female | 20
You might have some variations this month with your period. Spotting instead of a regular flow for more than 5 days can be bothersome. It may be due to hormonal changes, stress, or some medicines. I recommend the identification of other symptoms that you might have and drinking water to improve your hydration levels. If it continues or worsens, consult with a gynecologist.

Female | 25
It's a normal thing to feel scared though your periods are late. One notable cause that causes the delay in periods could be stress or changes in your daily habits. Another thing to keep in mind is the elements like feeding, exercise, and sleep. Consult a gynecologist in case the issue persists.

i am 28 years old, i have to ask question related to my periods
Female | 28
Are you encountering any excessive bleeding, severe pain, irregular cycles, or any other strange symptoms? Hormonal imbalances, stress, diet, and some medical conditions are among the possible causes of these situations. To control period issues, reducing stress and eating healthily are additional steps, but in some cases, it can be beneficial to consult a gynecologist for a more tailored approach.

Naturally, a woman may have varied menstrual patterns. But if you are having difficulty conceiving and have doubts about long unexplained periods, you should not neglect this and seek advice from a gynecologist. With any fertility concerns, a fertility specialist should be seen for more specific assessment and counseling.

Why did my period days changed from 7-4 days
Female | 13
Changes in the length of your menstrual period are quite normal and can be affected by hormonal fluctuations, stress, diet, exercise, age, and even the use of birth control. It's common for period days to change from month to month. But if you experience significant or concerning changes the consult a gynecologist for evaluation.

My last LMP was on 13 sept 2024 after that from 10 October i have spotting and didn't stop.I have taken ocp for 2 years as i have pcos/pcod. Now my complete period as not coming only spotting is there .I did usg which was normal.now what to do
Female | 24
Spotting could be the result of many different things, one of which is hormonal imbalance which occurs when there is PCOS/PCOD. It is good that your ultrasound turned out to be normal, hence, some major problems are eliminated. Modification of your OCP is one of the strategies you can discuss with your gynecologist besides other treatment options to make your periods balanced.

Inam 16 years old I have observed a swelling in my vagina outer part today morning with little pain in it Please tell me the treatment
Female | 16
You may be experiencing a small swelling in your vaginal area along with some pain. This might be a blocked oil gland or a minor infection. Keep the area clean and dry – warm compresses can help reduce swelling and relieve discomfort. Avoid wearing tight clothes and use mild soap when washing. If the swelling doesn’t improve or gets worse, consult with a gynecologist for further advice.

I am 19 ..I did sex on 29 nov and took i pill in next 9 hours but again did unprotected sex on 3 dec and it's been 7 dec when i get withdrawal bleeding please answer
Female | 19
Breakthrough bleeding can come about after taking emergency contraception; this occurs when your body begins to adjust to hormonal changes. In most cases, it is not something to worry about, but it's a hint that the pill is not right for you. It is important to monitor any changes that seem out of the ordinary. In the case of heavy bleeding or if it keeps lasting for more than a week, visiting a gynecologist for a tailored plan will be the best solution.

Female | 34
After an abortion, it's essential to give your body time to recover, allowing your uterus to heal properly. It's recommended to wait at least one to three months before trying to conceive again to reduce the risk of complications. Prioritizing your health is crucial before planning your next pregnancy.

Im a 19 year old female and i want to know how to tell if I'm either having a miscarriage or a cystic pregnancy.
Female | 19
If you are concerned about a possible miscarriage or cystic pregnancy, what you should look out for is the following. If you are having sharp belly pain or heavy bleeding, then this could be a sign of a miscarriage. On the other hand, if you experience mild pain, nausea, or breast tenderness, it may be cystic pregnancy. For a definite answer, it is necessary to go to a gynecologist for proper evaluation and treatment.

So she had sex on 15th of jan which was 4th day of her periods and her partner didnt ejaculated at all and she took pills with 40hrs and got heavy bleeding after two days of taking pills and today is 19th of feb and she hasnt gotten her periods yet . What does this mean?
Female | 18
If your partner did not cum and you had taken emergency contraceptive pills within 40 hours after sex during your period, the pregnancy is very unlikely to happen. Possibly the tablets should blame the bleeding you had rather than your period. You can visit the gynecologist if this area concerns you to get examined and counseled more.

hi! i understand that chlamydia can also cause itching and abnormal discharge just like yeast infections i'm also aware that fluconazole is for yeast infections since they share similar symptoms can fluconazole treat the itching and discharge but not the std itself? i'm really just curious and trying to understand
Female | 22
Chlamydia and yeast infections can both cause itchiness and strange smelly discharge. Fluconazole is the one that is mostly for yeast infections. Well, it may relieve you of the itching and discharge from a yeast infection. Still, it won't cure chlamydia. Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection that is treated by specific antibiotics. If you have an infection, it's best to consult a dermatologist for the right diagnosis and treatment.

had sex a day to my ovulation date and I had sex a day after my ovulation and I took post pill after the sex I had after my ovulation will I get pregnant?
Female | 20
While using an emergency contraceptive pill might decrease the risk for pregnancy following intercourse, it does not offer a 100% protection. A visit to a gynaecologist should be made for further instructions and follow-ups.

Kya pregnancy m periods hoty hain ya nh
Female | 20
In pregnancy, you may not experience regular periods cycle. It's possible for some individuals to experience bleeding or spotting during early pregnancy, which might be mistaken for a period. This bleeding is often lighter and shorter than a typical period and is known as "implantation bleeding."

My last period was on 26 th April and I have sex on 8th May after that I got little bleed now I am very scared , I don't if I got pregnant or not as I don't want, and I am on no medication
Female | 27
The spotting you had can be from implantation bleeding- when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the uterus wall. It sometimes results in light bleeding which is mistaken for a period. Take a home pregnancy test just to be sure. You can purchase it from a drugstore and follow the instructions. It’s the easiest way to confirm whether you are pregnant or not. If you are still not sure, visit a gynecologist.

Can i take delivate plus instead of folic acid tablet in my first trimster pregnency
Female | 35
Consult a healthcare professional before replacing a folic acid tablet with "Delivate Plus" during your first trimester of pregnancy. Folic acid is essential for preventing birth defects. Your gynecologist can advise on the right folic acid dosage and whether "Delivate Plus" is a suitable alternative for you.

I have been on the combination pill for four months. Sometime in my last pack I have missed two pills, I have no idea where. I am supposed to start my first inactive pill on Thursday. I had unprotected sex on Saturday and Sunday. I did take my pills in the week leading up to the unprotected sex. I do also know that I did not miss two consecutive pills. What do I do with the two left over pills? Do I still take the inactive pills for this pack?
Female | 23
If you miss two pills in a single pack, it may lower the effectiveness of the contraceptive in protecting you from becoming pregnant. The risk will obviously be minimal since they were non-consecutive. Take the remaining ones according to the instructions and begin the inactive pills as per your diary. In case you have any strange signs such as abnormal bleeding or spotting, use extra birth control methods and consult your gynecologist for more advice.

Female | 18
Missed periods happen sometimes. They're not unusual and there could be several reasons. You might have been ill and taking medication. That could affect hormone levels. Or maybe you've been stressed or had weight changes. Certain medical issues may also play a part. If it doesn't come for a few weeks, see a gynecologist.

I have a vaginal itching which is minor and have contracted with this earlier too what medicine and dose shall be taken it's a bacterial infection and anti fungal medicine was prescribed earlier
Female | Serah
You might have a bacterial infection causing vaginal itchiness. Bacteria can make things itchy, and red, and lead to strange discharge. Don't use anti-fungal meds, since they won't help bacterial infections. A gynecologist may prescribe antibiotics to clear it up. Take all the antibiotics, even if you feel better before finishing them. If symptoms persist or worsen, talk to your doctor about adjusting your treatment.
