Hi Doctor , I'm a mother of 2 kids and recently had a miscarriage, now me & my husband want to go for tubal ligation surgery as it says it's not 100% although it's a permanent birth control method of over 99% effective , is it okay after the surgery to start taking Ovral L pill ?
Female | 39
Permanent birth control can be achieved through tubal ligation surgery. The chances of pregnancy are greatly reduced with this method, but it is not 100% guaranteed. You may begin taking Ovral L after undergoing the operation. It is vital that you have an open discussion with your doctor in order to consider all available alternatives and make the most appropriate decision for yourself. Always feel free to share any worries you may have with your physician. I wish you all the best!

I'm 20yrs old . I have got some pregnancy symptoms like tried, leg pain, Vomiting tendency, etc bt in my period date I got bleeding for 2 days. Not overflow but some clotts are there there is anything wrong
Female | 20
Tiredness, leg pain, and vomiting sensation are possible signs of early pregnancy before your periods come. If on top of these symptoms during this same time that you're supposed to menstruate, there has been abnormal bleeding with big clots-it is something serious. You should see a gynecologist for proper assessment and advice about what could be the root cause of it all.

You might have irregularity of your periods, tension, weakness, body pain, and weight increase. These symptoms may be due to out-of-balance hormones or a defect in the thyroid gland. Female | 25
The problem of not having regular periods is quite irritating. Before you even realize it, a period that arrives sooner than usual, later than anticipated, or never at all can be one of the symptoms. Stress, weight changes, hormonal imbalances, or even medical conditions can be the causes. To ensure a healthy way of living, keep stress under control, and eat good food. Go to a gynecologist for treatment.

My one side philopine tube is blocked what I wil do this situation for getting pregnant
Female | 25
Blocked fallopian tubes can hinder pregnancy, often presenting with symptoms like pelvic pain or irregular periods. Causes may include previous infections, endometriosis, or pelvic surgeries. To navigate this situation, you might consider fertility evaluations that can identify specific factors affecting your conception journey. Treatments may involve laparoscopic surgery to remove blockages or assisted reproductive technologies like in vitro fertilization (IVF). It's essential to consult a gynecologist who specializes in fertility, as they can provide tailored guidance and support throughout this process.

It's been 1 year since I had ectopic pregnancy surgery , I used to had pain on the same side where I had ectopic pregnancy surgery for many months like 6 ,7 month and for last few months I had no pain but today after 1 year I am having pain on the same place where I had surgery, and the pain is like when u move , sir or or get jurk while driving vehicle and little bit of constant pain .
Female | 21
Pain in the same place where you had ectopic pregnancy surgery can be a concern. It could be that scar tissue or adhesions from the surgery are the reason for this pain. These can happen when tissues stick together. It is important to contact a gynecologist to get a diagnosis of the pain and choose the best treatment options.

I had what can be classified as unprotected sex on 27th August (this is because I was experiencing diarrhea which reduced my regular combined pill efficiency and protection). Partner pulled out twice, we shower in between and clean. I took emergency contraception within 24 hours (brand: andalan postpil) and had one last diarrhea nearly 3 hours later (a bit less I think) after taking the pill. Would the emergency contraception be effective (I also have BMI of 30.5) or do I need to take another emergency pill?
Female | 22
Taking the emergency contraception pill is a very effective way of preventing pregnancy. Apart from that, you took the emergency pill which was the right move, and you experienced diarrhea, which can lower the effectiveness of the pill. Pay attention to any unusual symptoms and if you are worried, it is always better to consult a gynecologist.

I m 20 year old girl I have missed my period for one month 14 days but no symptoms of pregnancy n negative pregnancy test what is the reason for not getting periods
Female | 20
It's okay to be stressed out when your period doesn't show up on time. If you are not pregnant, then anxiety, sudden weight changes, over-exercise, hormone disorders, or certain medical conditions might be the culprit. Don't get too tense at the moment, but it would still be a good idea to go to a gynecologist and have the matter properly explained and get treatment.

Female | 20
The gynecological problems could be the ones that cause pain or period irregularities. Backaches may be caused by bad posture or muscle strain. Migraines with dizziness might come from the stress of work or a lack of sleep. To feel better, do some gentle stretching for your back, drink more water, and get regular sleep. If the symptoms don't improve, it is important to seek help from a gynecologist.

Vaginal itching I have from past 2 weeks and I used v wash and coconut oil but the itching is more at night plz help me out
Female | 24
Vaginal itching can be caused by several factors, including infections, irritations, or allergies. Given that you’ve experienced discomfort for two weeks and noticed it worsens at night, it's wise to consider possible yeast infections or other conditions. While using products like V wash and coconut oil may provide temporary relief, they might not address the root cause. I recommend consulting a gynecologist for an accurate diagnosis and targeted treatment.

I am a 27 year old female and I always get my periods regularly, and my last period was on 17th October 2024, and my next cycle was supposed to be on 13th November. But instead, I got my period today (1st November). I got it 13 days before my regular cycle. What could be the reason?
Female | 27
It’s normal for periods to arrive a bit early or late occasionally. An early period can be caused by stress, changes in diet or exercise, or hormonal imbalances. If an irregular period happens only once, it’s usually not a cause for concern. Just focus on maintaining your physical and mental health, eating a balanced diet, and managing stress. However, if irregular periods continue, see a gynecologist for a check-up.

You have been having changes in your menstruation after taking the morning-after pill. It is expected that your periods might be different a little after taking these pills. Your next period may come late or early and your cycle may be shorter or longer than usual. You need to bear in mind that these pills are not for your regular use. In case you are worried about the continuity of your periods, it is the best decision to seek help from a gynecologist.
