How is hep c spread? If I used a stick n poke needle with no blood
Female | 19
Transmission of hepatitis C may involve contact with infected blood and/or sharps such as needles. Even if the needle does not have any water therein, the stick and pokes use can still result in viral infections. It will be good to see a hepatologist or a gastroenterologist if you have reason to think your chances of Hepatitis C are high.

Female | 20
Gastritis, GERD, oesophagitis, delayed periods, and the feeling of being thin can be hard on a person. Signals such as stomach ache, acid reflux, and skipped menstrual cycles could be due to stress or bad nourishment. Take regular meals, keep away from spicy foods, and manage stress! It's also good to chat with a gastroenterologist about your health condition a few times.

Why am I gaining weight five years after my gastric sleeve surgery?
Female | 42
You may be gaining weight because of a stretched stomach pouch or an enlarged gastric sleeve opening. Other causes, including hormonal changes or lack of healthy diet and physical activities may also play a role. I suggest contacting a bariatric specialist to address the problem and determine possible solutions.

I've anal pain after and during bowel movement
Male | 20
Many people experience discomfort around their behind when using the restroom. This can result from pushing too forcefully, being constipated, or having a small tear in the skin by the back passage. Fiber helps make bowel movements easier. Drink water regularly and don't strain excessively. If the painful feeling lingers, consult a gastroenterologist to identify any underlying problems.

Male | 30
This could be the reason for the spices, oils, or a particular kind of meat you are consuming that is causing digestive problems. Keeping a food diary to learn patterns and observe if other foods also cause this kind of reaction is vital. Increasing the daily water intake and eating less food should help in minimizing discomfort. Nevertheless, recurring problems necessitate contacting a gastroenterologist who can give a complete evaluation and the most relevant advice concerning the problem.

My. Digestive system is bad
Male | 19
The classic signs of it are abdominal pain, swelling, inconsistent bowel movements, or discomfort after eating. These issues can relate to several causes, such as food choices, the impact of stress, or particular unfavorable conditions. To diminish stomach upset, think about taking in adequate amounts of foods high in fiber, staying hydrated, and mastering stress using some relaxation techniques. In addition to this, regular physical activity contributes to healthy digestion. In case you still find no relief by these means, I would urge you to make an appointment with a gastroenterologist. They will do a thorough evaluation and give treatments directly related to your case.

I am 19 years old female, I know that i have a sensitive gut but 15-20 days back, I was traveling and eating a lot of junk yet processed food and at restaurants. I ate out for almost 4 days. Later on I ate large amounts of noodles of maida. Like really too much. And after a week or so till today I have been facing issue clearing stomach, also my poop is not very long, its sometimes short and it's not too thin. Sometimes it's in bits and pieces. Sometimes it's circular or curved. Sometimes I comes out at one go in pieces. I googled and I got a lot scared. What should I do? I am not that rich too. Google says to go for colonoscopy and all. I am really scared. I sometimes get this weird side stitch too.
Female | 19
The reason why your stomach is upset is the different foods you eat. These changes in your poop may be due to your diet. Eating a large amount of noodles can be heavy on the stomach and be difficult to digest. This may be why you also feel a side-stitch. Sticking to healthy, simple foods like fruits and vegetables is an excellent way to assist your stomach. Besides, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. Allow your tummy some time to settle down. If your symptoms persist, it would be a good idea to consult with a gastroenterologist. But for now, concentrate on gentle, nutritious foods and enough water to make your gut feel better.

Contacting you for my brother. He has been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 18 years ago. There seems to be no remission phases though, even though he has tried several things - medication, alternative medicine etc. Could it be something else at hand? Maybe wrong diagnosing to begin with or a combination of things?
Male | 41
I'm sorry to hear that your brother is struggling with ulcerative colitis. Other conditions like infections or complications from long-term inflammation might also be causing his symptoms. He needs to see a gastroenterologist for a thorough check-up to rule out other possibilities. The doctor may suggest additional tests or treatments to help manage his condition better.

Good evening doc. I'm a 21 year old girl suffering from s case of external pile. It doesn't itch or give me severe pain, only a slight one when I'm cleaning up after using the toilet. I've tried icing and also using sugar on it but it hasn't improved please i need your help. Thank you.
Female | 21
You are experiencing discomfort from external hemorrhoids, which can occur due to straining or changes in stool consistency. Since you're noticing slight pain, consistent hygiene, and avoiding irritation is essential. I recommend using over-the-counter creams designed for hemorrhoid relief, applying warm compresses, and maintaining a high-fiber diet to ease bowel movements. Staying hydrated can also help. If symptoms persist or worsen, please consider seeing a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation and tailored treatment.

What I should do to increase my appetite or so that some interest I would get to eat something.

A common cold can make you lose your appetite. Typical cold symptoms include a runny or blocked nose, mucus in your throat, and nausea. To improve your appetite, drink plenty of fluids, stay hydrated, and eat light, easy-to-digest foods like soups, fruits, and yogurt. Give yourself time to recover and rest. My age is 34 years.i am serving in the Army as a sports man. I have drank alcohol been for 5-6 years. Normally one time in the night 120ml to last 180 ml Three times a week. But now I feel like vomiting and heartbeat increase The eyes would become red and the body would become red. after taking just one sip. After that I didn't feel like drinking at all, Then gradually I started hating alcohol. then after I have stopped drinking alcohol for 3 months.I have got the LFT test done and that report is also normal. All this is good, but what happened to me that I started hating alcohol. This is what I want to know
Male | 34
Your symptoms, such as coronary heart and redness, indicate that your body may not be tolerating alcohol very well anymore. This is a natural body response and it could be that your body wants to protect itself from the possible negative effects of alcohol. The development of an aversion is a good sign for you to stay away from the thing that is not good for you rather than a bad one. I suggest you pay more attention to how much water you drink, a healthy diet, and physical activity. In case the symptoms continue or become more disturbing, please ask a gastroenterologist for narrative advice.

It seems like you are experiencing constipation. Constipation refers to the difficulty in having a bowel movement. It may happen to people who have an insufficient amount of fiber in their diet, drink less water, or are less active. Eat fruits and vegetables, drink a proper amount of water, and take a short walk. If the issue persists, the best step will be to have a conversation with a gastroenterologist who will give you some advice.
