It sounds like you’re feeling bad in your stomach, finding it hard to breathe, and also the pain in your back is severe. These symptoms can arise from various issues, including digestive problems, muscle strain, or stress. It's essential to monitor how you feel and consider manageable changes, such as staying hydrated and avoiding heavy meals. However, because of the complexity and intensity of your experience, I strongly recommend consulting a gastroenterologist.

can i take rifaximin 400 twice a day and propranolol together is it safe
Male | 22
This medication is prescribed for a specific reason. Rifaximin is an antibiotic that is used to treat bacterial infections in the gut, while propranolol is used to treat heart conditions. When they are taken together, they could influence the way your body deals with them. It may be safe, but it's important to have a gastroenterologist monitor you closely so you can avoid any possible problems or interactions.

I take opioids for recreational use and also for anxiety. They have been a life saver for me. But now all of a sudden I am experiencing extreme constipation. It is worth nothing I've had chronic constipation issues my whole life pretty much. I took 2 glasses of MiraLax and 3 Dulcolax stimulant laxatives.
Male | 23
Opioids are known to cause constipation by slowing down intestinal movement. Chronic constipation can lead to further complications if not addressed. Taking MiraLax and Dulcolax was a good start, but it's also important to drink plenty of water and eat high-fiber foods to help improve the condition. Additionally, including light exercise, like walking or yoga, in your routine can be beneficial. If the constipation persists, it would be a good idea to consult a gastroenterologist for further advice and support.

Hiccups are caused by a muscle under the lungs called the diaphragm getting agitated is the main reason behind it. This may be caused by the fact that you eat faster, are stressed, or swallow a lot of air. To deal with the hiccups, you can try holding your breath for a couple of seconds, then sipping cold water, or gently scaring yourself. If they persist for more than 48 hours, you should see a doctor.

I've been eating loads of chocolate peeing more often and cramping in my upper tummy and constipation
Female | 26
Frequent urination, abdominal cramping, and constipation can be linked to diet, particularly with high sugar consumption from chocolate. Sugary foods may cause excessive thirst, leading to increased urination. Additionally, chocolate can irritate the digestive system, potentially leading to cramps and bowel irregularities. To alleviate these issues, consider reducing sugar intake, increasing hydration, and incorporating more fiber-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your meals. Gentle exercise may also help. If symptoms persist or worsen, it’s wise to consult a gastroenterologist for tailored advice and to rule out any underlying conditions.

Loose motion problem and accidety
Male | 32
Loose motion (diarrhea) can be caused by virus infections, food poisoning, or bad hygiene. Symptoms consist of frequent and loose stools. Acidity occurs when the stomach's acid goes up the food pipe which brings along heartburn. To manage, drink plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration and eat rice, bananas, and toast, which are bland foods. Avoid spicy and oily foods that can trigger acidity before having a meal. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice from a gastroenterologist.

I had fever since last 3 days but I was taking medicine and 2 antibiotics so it was fine but last night I vomitted after taking the third dose of antibiotic because I didn't took the medicine for gas. And the next day I had fever of 100.3 F What is the problem here? Is it serious or is it because not completing the dose?
Female | 20
It’s understandable to be concerned about your recent symptoms. The fever, combined with vomiting, could indicate several factors, such as the effects of the medication or a response to your illness. It’s important to complete your antibiotic course as prescribed, as stopping early can lead to incomplete treatment. Since you're experiencing ongoing fever, I recommend contacting a gastroenterologist. They can assess your situation and may suggest adjustments to your treatment plan. In the meantime, staying hydrated and resting can aid your recovery.

Ibd and Ibs are complex conditions that involve inflammation and dysfunction of the gastrointestinal system. They require medical management and treatment approaches that are specific to these conditions. Treatment for IBD and IBS needs a combination of medication, dietary modifications, lifestyle changes, and sometimes psychological support.
While alternative therapies and complementary approaches may have their benefits it's crucial to rely on evidence based treatments for conditions as complex as Ibd and Ibs.

Hi I am a 21 year old female who has been travelling in Europe for 1 months. I have been having diarrhoea for the past week on and off and have been taking anti diarrhoea tablets. These block me up and cause stomach cramps. What would you recommend? Thank you
Female | 21
From what you've been saying, the diagnosis could be you having traveler's diarrhea, a typical thing when exposed to new places. Anti-diarrhea pills can make things worse by stopping your body from getting rid of the bad stuff that causes stomach cramps. It is best to replenish your fluids by drinking clean water and consuming sports drinks or oral rehydration solutions that contain electrolytes. Stick to the basics, bland foods like rice, bananas, and toast for a while until things settle down. If your symptoms persist, consult your physician for medical advice.

Hello. I am 23 years old and I've had heartburn for more than 3 years. Last year in April I took Dexilant 60mg for about 2 weeks and my symptoms were gone for about 2 months. However, the symptoms started coming back after that and I've been having heartburn almost every day since then. I've occasionally been using Pepcid Complete for my symptoms but I know that this isn't a permanent solution. So can you please tell me when I should be worried about heartburn and what kind of treatments are there for heartburn?
Male | 23
Seek medical attention as it could indicate an underlying issue like GERD. It can be treated with lifestyle changes, over the counter medications (antacids and H2 blockers), and prescription medications. Untreated heartburn can lead to complications, so don't delay seeking help. Consult with a gastroenterologist.

Stomach pain after taking I pill
Female | 34
Emergency birth control pills occasionally cause abdominal discomfort. Their effect irritates the stomach lining, inducing temporary ache. Resolve symptoms naturally by consuming plain foods, drinking water, and resting sufficiently. However, persistent severe pain demands contacting a gastroenterologist promptly.
