Why do I have persistent red patch on lip?
I am a 19 year old female. I have had a red patch on the inside of my upper lip for around 4 and a half weeks that hasn’t gone. Sometimes it’s painful, and it regularly tastes metallic. I’m not sure what this is or how to treat it

You may be dealing with a condition called oral lichen planus, which can cause painful red spots in your mouth that taste metallic. Don't worry, it's not contagious. The exact cause is unknown, it might be linked to the immune system. To ease the discomfort, avoid hot or sour foods and use mild mouth rinses while keeping your mouth clean. If these tips don't help or your symptoms worsen, make an appointment with a dermatologist to get a proper diagnosis and discuss further treatment options.

Suffering from. Cold and toncil for few month Now. Seen some. Baby pink and red mark in neck But no pain
Male | 32
You sound as if you have had ongoing cold symptoms, and you have also realized that your neck has turned pink and red due to exposure to the cold. These sorts of changes could occur because of a number of factors such as an allergic reaction, irritation, or possibly an infection. It is a good sign that you do not feel uncomfortable, though I would still recommend you to visit a dermatologist for an overall examination. They will give you the right treatment and direct you to the available medications.

I have spot on penis last 2 days it's a abit sore had white head
Male | 35
Getting pimples on your penis happens, like the face. This one is irritated and painful. Sometimes sweat or rubbing causes them there. Don't touch it or try squeezing. Cleanliness and dryness help. However, if it worsens or persists, see a dermatologist soon.

Burn marks happen when the skin is damaged by something hot. If it’s been there for many years, removing it without surgery may be tricky. But don’t be upset because there are a few things you can try such as using creams and getting laser treatments. The best advice on how to handle this type of situation would come from consulting with dermatologists.

I have a small abscess on my waistline around 0.1-0.2cm wide and around 0.01cm deep. I’ve had it since 10 December but received oral and topical antibiotics about 10 days ago. It’s since improved but i’m wondering if I should continue combiderm for over 10 days or stop? There’s minimal yellowish liquid coming out of it already.
Male | 20
Little abscesses can form because of infections, however, the presence of a yellowish fluid often indicates that healing is taking place. Regarding Combiderm, it should be your doctor who determines how long to take it. If irritation persists tomorrow or is accompanied by pain, redness, or swelling, then consider addressing it with your dermatologist to get an additional diagnosis. They can help with rapid recovery and decide if extra medication is needed.

Doctor, what should I do to get rid of these block spots? Can you tell me the skin care cream to apply on Face.
സ്ത്രീ | 32
If you have dark spots on your face, which could be caused by your sebaceous glands being blocked or the skin gathering too much pigment, they probably are. Face cleaning and protection from the sun are the two main prevention methods for infinite spots. You want a cream that includes retinol, A, not to forget vitamin C, to ensure it will lighten the color in time.

I am 27 year old I have mouth sore more than 1 months Before I used have digestive issues. I have enough vitamin b12 Can you tell me what are the reason for mouth sore
Male | 26
Mouth ulcers persisting for over a month can be a result of several possible causes such as viral infections, stress, or dietary deficiencies. The usual symptoms categories are: painful ulcers, swelling, and occasionally eating difficulties. Good oral hygiene, as well as over-the-counter local treatments, may help alleviate discomfort. It is better to avoid spicy or acidic foods. Since you have been filing for digestive discomfort, it's recommended that you keep a record of any potential triggers. But, because these sores are continuing to exist, I strongly suggest that you go to a dermatologist and get a full check-up and a plan of action based on your condition.

For vitiligo problem please inform me details
Female | 60
Vitiligo is a skin infection that shows up as white regions on the skin. The main path to getting these is when the skin's melanocyte cells add color. Even though why the cells die is a mystery, for the time being, the immune system might be at fault. A cure for vitiligo doesn't exist, but with therapies such as light therapy or creams, patients can experience some relief. Remember to take care of your skin using sunblock as well. If the condition doesn't improve, please visit a dermatologist.

How to reduce burn red smoothness swelling
Female | 18
For effective burn treatment, it is highly advised to immerse the injured part in cold water immediately to reduce redness, smoothness, and swelling. Then, you can finish it up by patting the skin dry and applying aloe vera gel or a cold compress. They are managed over the counter to help. If you suffer from a major burn, or if it is spread over a large area, make sure to visit a dermatologist or a burn specialist.

I am a 16 year old female who has only one known allergy, (dust mites), but my hands are hot and seem to swell slightly after using Clorox wipes for an extended period of time today. This has never happened before. My finger looks odd as well, and I’m concerned.
Female | 16
You may be having a slight allergic reaction to the Clorox wipes. Hot, swollen hands and a strange-looking finger could mean contact dermatitis, which happens when your skin doesn’t agree with certain things. Wash your hands with cool water and mild soap to make them feel better, then put on some lotion that will soothe them. Don’t use those wipes right now – and if it doesn’t get any better or feels worse at all after doing this stuff try talking with a dermatologist.

Could scabies spread through me being fully clothed and sleeping in a bed and then someone else using the bed
Female | 20
Yes scabies can be transmitted even when you are fully dressed and lay down in bed. Scabies occurs due to the movement of very small mites that may transfer from one person to another through direct contact or via the exchange of bedding and clothing. If in doubt, and you’re suspicious, that you have scabies, it is advisable to seek the help of a dermatologist

Hi Doctor, I’m 29 years male.. I have little glossy skin on my penis glan.. Can you please suggest me some ointment or tablet to cure it as soon as possible.. Is that any issue?
Male | 29
A shiny look on the penile glans comes from various reasons such as dryness, irritation, or infections. It is important not to treat oneself in case of improper evaluation. I am the first one who would tell you that before getting the proper judgment from a dermatologist you should not rush to conclusions. They are the ones who will give you the treatment that you need, whether it is an ointment or medication. In addition, good cleanliness practices and special fragrant-free material use can lighten the penile problem.

Pimple and Pimple marks in face
Female | 27
Pimple marks are small bumps that can be red, swollen, or have pus, the pinky-gray of the skin. These things are generated when the pores become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Pimple marks are dark or red spots left behind after a pimple goes away. In order to reduce your chances of getting pimples, you should wash your face regularly, stay away from oily products, and never pick or squeeze the pimples. Apply products that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to treat them.

A rash on your chin and forehead can result from various factors like an allergic reaction, irritant exposure, or even a skin infection. Common symptoms include redness, itching, or dryness. To alleviate discomfort, consider using a mild moisturizer or hydrocortisone cream. Avoid harsh products and refrain from scratching the area. It's essential to keep the skin clean and monitor for any worsening or additional symptoms. If the rash persists beyond a few days or shows signs of infection, I recommend consulting a dermatologist for a thorough evaluation and personalized treatment.

I am 27 years. I have a problem with my mouth and tongue. Sometimes. When im stress my tongue will retract. And now, i have lot of canker sore in my mouth and tongue. What should i do to make it heal faster. Thanks
Female | 27
Canker sores are small, painful ulcers that are so troublesome that one can find it hard to speak or eat. Stress can be a possible reason for them as well. To promote healing, try rinsing your mouth with salt water about three times a day. Try to avoid spicy and acidic foods that can aggravate the sores. Regularly brushing your teeth and mouth can also speed up the healing process.
