Can Tretinoin Help Improve Acne and Skin Texture?
I am a 20 year old female. I've had acne for over 2 years now. I have Acne, small red and white bumps, textured and oily skin as well as hyperpigmentation and post acne dark spots. I Have been using tretinoin twice a week for a month now and have seen slight improvement in the texture of my skin without any dryness or irritation, followed by moisturizer , hyaluronic acid and sunscreen in the morning.

Pimples come from oil and dead skin blocking hair holes. Oily skin makes more pimples. Tretinoin medicine helps by clearing blocked holes. It makes skin better. Using cream, hyaluronic stuff, and sunblock is good too. Keep doing it. Pimples take time to go away. You can also visit a dermatologist.

Cut self trimming pubic hair Hi Im 25 and was trying to trim my testicles with scissors and knicked a bit of skin and they were proper scissors. It bled a decent bit at first but I was in the shower so I was able to get a bit of toilet roll and hold it to stop the bleeding. It made me very dizzy to the point where I was struggling to stand I'm not sure if it was just because I was panicking or pain. But It stopped for a bit and I tried to stand and it started bleeding a tiny bit like a drop because I think it was a proper cut. I stood up again but I don't thinks it's bleeding any more and just looks like a knick. But is it something I should get checked out or should it be fine to let it heal. Sorry if this is the wrong thing to do I don't really know who to ask and phoning the doctors at my bit is really bad just now cause there so busy and if I'm just overreacting.

I have gone through hair transplant surgery 4.5 months ago. I am suffering from Androgenetic Alopecia. As per the doctor, I am taking minoxidil and finastride on daily basis. However, my hair sheds while I apply minoxidil (10-15 hairs shed) and while I wash my head. Please suggest whether this is normal or should I consider any other treatment?
Hair fall is natural. As the lifecycle of hair has different stages.
- Telogen and exogen are shedding phases of hair cycle where we lose hair. 15 to 20% hair are shed in these phases, therefore it's natural.
- But when you lose more hair than routine, then its a matter of concern. Upto 30 to 40 hair per day is normal. Whatever you lose will grow back according to your hair cycle.
- If you are losing thin hair very frequently then it's alarming as well.
- After starting minoxidil hair fall increases. But that is normal and you will get those hair back because you are not losing them from the root.
Keep using minoxidil and finasteride it will help you.
