A persistent cough and unexpected weight loss are concerning symptoms. When these occur together, doctors investigate serious conditions like lung cancer or lung infections, especially with your smoking history. It's vital to get evaluated promptly by a pulmonologist. They'll conduct tests to determine the cause and provide appropriate treatment. Delaying care could worsen your condition.

I am 41 year old. I recently had cough and cold then I took some drugs. Though the cough is gone, but for some days now anytime I cough my breath ceases
Male | 41
According to the research you've put forward, it is likely that you might have a disease known as asthma. Wheezing can occur during a cough when asthmatic patients have trouble breathing. This is a result of opened, inflamed, and tightened air tubes. In addition to coughing, other symptoms may include wheezing and chest tightness. One of the ways to cope is by staying away from irritants such as smoke or dust.

I have played national matches in boxing and wrestling. I had severe chest pain in May. If I show in the hospital, in the x-ray, it will show water in the chest, after fluid tapping, Tb will be found in that water, I was under a lot of mental stress. Because I have to take care of my house. I have been taking the medicine given by the doctor since one month, I have started boxing and wrestling training, I am feeling a little better but I am not feeling any strength in my body, can I take creatine to get strength? Please help me a little
Male | 26
Pneumothorax (TB) might be the water inside your chest. This is due to the fact that the immune system, when it is weak, can bring on the symptoms such as chest pain and tiredness. While taking medications as prescribed should be your priority, do not take creatine without your doctor’s approval because it may worsen your condition. However, for now, make sure you are resting enough, eating properly, and gradually getting back into your regular training routine.

My lungs crackling only for 2-3 min, before 1 month i had dry cough and cold
Female | 22
If you’ve had a dry cough and cold recently, it seems like you might have some crackling in your lungs. This is normal. The sound could mean there is still mucus present. To remedy the situation, drink more water and practice breathing exercises. If it persists or worsens, take time off work so your body can recover.

It is possible that you may have an underlying respiratory condition such as asthma or COPD that is causing your symptoms. You should see a doctor for a more thorough evaluation and to discuss treatment options. It is also possible that your symptoms could be caused by allergies or other environmental triggers. An allergist or pulmonologist can help you identify the underlying cause of your symptoms and develop an effective treatment plan.

Hello I’m a 19 year old male that’s been spitting up blood with no cough or chest pain or difficulty breathing. It’s not a large amount of blood and doesn’t happen 24/7 / I used to vape / smoke weed but have stopped when I noticed this was happening. It’s been happening for about the last week and a half and have noticed the blood slowly increasing any thoughts on what this could be ??
Male | 19
Blood sputum would be an alarming sign that should not be ignored. You used to vape and smoke weed and this is a vital point here. It can be that smoking is the cause of irritation in your lungs. This might lead to small bleeds in your throat. You have stopped smoking and that is a good thing. But for your safety, get a thorough physical examination by a pulmonologist as soon as possible.

A cough that is dry and lasts two months or more can be due to different factors. It's good that she is taking tablets and home remedies but if the cough still stays on, it would be best to consult a pulmonologist once again to have it properly diagnosed. Also, advise your grandma to drink lots of fluids, use a humidifier in the room, and if possible, turn her filled with irritants like smoke or dust.

Facing health issues severe chest pain , tightness and breathing problem done x ray. Shows bravascilar prominent in lung field done ct scan show focal fibroatelectatic in right lobe and middle right lobe and lingula done pulmonary function test it shows breathing patterns changes and doctor says it's normal you're fine while. I'm not feeling well
Female | 24
The focally fibroatelectatic area seen on the x-ray of your right lung may be causing the symptoms you are having. Although irregular breathing patterns have been observed, pulmonary function tests are normal. This may happen because of trapped air in your lungs. Consult a pulmonologist and discuss your test results so that further evaluation and treatment can be done.

I am a 15 year old male and have been feeling out of breath for the past 4-5 days on and off. Without any coughing but have also had hiccups and slight heart burn like pains
Male | 15
These might be signs of acid reflux, which occurs when stomach acid flows back into the tube that carries food from your mouth to your stomach. To alleviate these symptoms, try eating smaller meals, staying away from spicy foods, and not lying down immediately after eating. Drinking water might also help. However, if they persist, it would be best to consult with a doctor.

Hi, my name is aiden i am 14 years old and I've been wondering if there something wrong with me when i lay down on my chest i find it a lil hard to breathe sometimes i wonder if its axizety or i might be overthinking but other then that ive been having axizety making it hard for me to sleep and i just feels like my eyes are close but im not getting any sleep what should i do
Male | 14
When you lay on your chest and it feels hard to get air in, that could be from anxiety. Anxiety also makes it difficult for people to sleep well at night. You can learn how to control your breathing when talking about it with them and other ways of calming down too if they know about it. Try doing things before going to bed like making a routine so that every time before sleep you will make sure that you get into bed more easily also practice good habits around sleep like not watching any screens an hour before bedtime because they keep awake longer which means fewer hours spent resting. If these symptoms stay or get worse then maybe it's time to see the doctor and tell them what’s been happening.

Male | 17
You are right in saying that you have certain concerns regarding the application of creatine and whey protein while undergoing tuberculosis treatment. Normally, creatine and whey protein supplements are safe when taken safely, but in your scenario, you should be more cautious. TB treatment would require specific medicines to help do their job. The consumption of creatine and whey protein may interfere with the absorption of these drugs, or in other words, decrease the strength of drugs. It is also crucial that you do not deviate from the exact set of actions the medic tells you to because, in your place, your health is the top priority. Once the chemo treatment is done, you might consider the idea of taking these supplements as directed by your pulmonologist.

Cough..very hard.........

Your cough sounds very intense. A severe cough can signify illnesses like chest infections, throat infections, allergies, or asthma. Stay hydrated, use a humidifier, and take cough medicine if required. If it persists, see a pulmonologist. Severe coughing fits are difficult. Coughs sometimes indicate underlying conditions. Persistent coughing warrants medical attention. Remedies like fluids and humidifiers provide temporary relief.

Male | 22
It appears that you may be experiencing some worrying side effects as a result of using beclomethasone dipropionate and levosalbutamol sulfate rotocaps for your asthma. Rapid weight loss, reduced penis size, and low semen volume can be linked to these drugs’ long-term usage. These particular adverse reactions are probably caused by the steroids contained in the medication affecting your system. Hence, you should inform your physician about them so they can prescribe you a more suitable treatment plan for your asthma which won’t have these effects. Besides, the doctor might also recommend ways of gaining weight and supporting overall well-being.

i'm been detect have influenza. Tamiflu are no longer have used to me. May i know any other medicine or option that can reduce the effect of influenza?
Male | 27
The flu is caused by a virus, not bacteria. It can make you feel sick with symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, and body aches. Since taking Tamiflu is not in the picture anymore, it is vital that you take good rest, drink lots of water, and take pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen to help get rid of the symptoms. These help to relieve illness and severe pain. Make sure to stay at home and avoid infecting other people with flu.
