Could Wearing Orthotics Cause Knee Pain or Structural Damage?
I am dealing with pain, soreness, and stiffness in both my knees mostly in the inside portion after wearing orthotics for a week. I do not have swelling and I think I have full stability. Could I have caused structural damage? Or do I just need a few days of rest now that I removed the orthotics?

Orthotics can affect your knees. Pain, soreness, or stiffness inside your knees without swelling might indicate that orthotics are altering knee movement. It’s unlikely to cause structural damage, but giving your knees a rest can help. If pain persists, consult an orthopedist.

I'm 45, had spinal fusion a decade ago. Lately, feeling a bit off. Is it normal to have new issues 10 years after spinal fusion?
Male | 45
Occasionally, patients may develop new symptoms or complications following spinal fusion surgery even after a few years. The nature and intensity of symptoms are highly variable in the case of different factors including age, life-style or overall health. It is also advisable to watch for any changes and consult a spine specialist. In this case, the best doctor to visit should be a neurologist or an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in spinal disorders.

I am 21 years old. I have been having a sharp pain in my left shoulder blade for up to four months now
Male | 21
You may have a muscle strain in your left shoulder blade. This happens when you use that muscle a lot or have poor posture. You may feel sharp pain, especially when moving your arm. Try gently stretching and putting ice on the area. Do not do things that make the pain worse. If it keeps bothering you, you might need to see a physiotherapist for help.

Knee pain due to basketball
Male | 13
Knee pain is common in basketball players. It can happen from running, jumping, or twisting your knee repeatedly. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and difficulty moving. Causes include overuse, lifting weights incorrectly, and not warming up properly. To help your knee recover, reduce activity, apply ice, and do graded exercises. For more serious conditions, seeing an orthopedist is crucial. Treating pain early is the best approach.

I am 21 years old and currently have been going through my leg foot and ankle pain i am diagnosed from typhoid almost every year in summers the typhoid has reduced but not the pain i usually have low blood pressure the pain stays for all they day and night if i change my position during night
Female | 21
It seems like you have felt a lot of pain in your leg, foot, and ankle. Your past typhoid sickness and low blood pressure could be why you still hurt. Sometimes, typhoid can make joints ache. It is very important to drink lots of water and rest. Using cold packs and keeping your leg up high can help the pain go away. If the pain does not stop, you should see an orthopedist to find out what is wrong.

My mother is 55 years old. A little obesity. She got her surgery for Haglund deformity causing Achilles tendonitis. After two weeks the suture was removed. Till that time she was on antibiotics and antimicrobial treatment alongwith calcium and pain killer. But now it's been 3-4 weeks post surgery . The post surgical site is black and I don't feel like it's healing. What to do?
Female | 55
It is recommended to go to the orthopedic surgeon who performed the operation and get the area examined. The black color could mean an infection or poor healing. It is necessary to have it diagnosed to take the treatment appropriately.

Back pain is discomfort in the back area. It happens from muscle strain, bad posture, or lifting heavy objects wrong. To help, rest, use ice or heat, and gently stretch. If pain continues, try different activities to see what helps. Ask family to help with chores so you can rest and recover.

Ma'am cat has bitten to my father in left leg what to do for treatment tell me
Male | 40
The foremost thing is to wash the wound with warm water and soap. Following this, put the dressing on the wound using a new bandage. Check the area around the bite for redness, swelling, warmth, and pus. Each of these might be infection symptoms. You need to visit your healthcare provider if you observe these signs. The main treatments for infections at home are wound cleaning and dressings.

Hi, I have bursitis, but there is no pain, what to do to solve this problem?
Male | 40
Is bursitis without pain possible? Yes, it is but it can bother you a lot. Bursitis occurs due to the inflammation of bursae, a small, fluid-filled sac located at joints. It doesn't necessarily mean that you will feel pain. But if there is swelling or stiffness, you might feel like you have swollen a joint by doing a wrong workout. Swelling can be resolved by resting and applying ice packs. The best and most effective course is to avoid participating in things that enhance the swelled part. There is a possibility that it could not go away, and the advice of an orthopedist could be sought in this case!

Nerve swelling like bulb in lower leg near tibia
Male | 21
You've got the symptoms of a ganglion cyst. These are small liquid-filled bumps that can evolve near your tibia. Typically this doesn't hurt but sometimes it can be uncomfortable or give a feeling of being under pressure. They oftentimes disappear on their own, however, if you are hurt by it you can attempt to apply ice and rest on your leg. It is important to see an orthopedist to examine it, in case it doesn't improve.

What does partial lumbarization of S1 bilaterally with possible bilateral lateral S1-S2 pseudoarthrosis. No acute fracture mean?
Female | 29
S1 shows partial lumbarization. This is indicative of an unusual section of your back. It may be responsible for the pain you feel in your lower back. If a bone does not go the way it is supposed to, it will join another bone and cause an immovable joint which is what S1 - S2 bilateral sacroiliitis refers to. If there is no sudden fracture then there is none. Try to have some rest; take mild painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen which can be bought over the counter at any pharmacy near you then after doing all this if it doesn’t work out fine consult a physiotherapist who will provide appropriate therapy for relief apart from doing exercises that are not too strenuous.
