Experiencing severe lower abdomen and back pain, what's wrong?
I am having severe pain in my lower left and my lower right abdomen and it’s moving to my lower back

Answered on 26th Aug '24
You may have some issues with your kidneys or your urinary system. The pain in your lower abdomen and back might indicate a kidney infection or kidney stones which are the probable causes. Other symptoms to watch for are a frequent need to pee, burning when you go, or cloudy urine. It is unlikely to go away by itself and you should drink a lot of water and visit a gastroenterologist as soon as possible to make sure it is checked.

According to your symptoms you may have a gastrointestinal problem. For effective diagnosis and management, you need to see a gastroenterologist. They can recommend some tests that are required for the diagnosis of the cause of your stomach ache and the bowel movements that are frequent. For the time being, please limit yourself to eating non outdoor meals and consume food that is easy digestible.

I have a question. My boyfriend took 15 multivitamin pills, he is 33 years old, 159cm, around 60-65 kgs. I think he took around 120 mg of iron which those pills had. It happened earlier today, He was nauses, had diarrhea that looked black and oily and sticky, his stomach hurt he went to the toilet like 5 times. He went to sleep assuring me he will be fine but im worried, could it be internal bleeding? He doesnt normally use vitamins, not sure but i dont think he has iron deficiency. it happened today. He takes adderrall, he didnt eat today, and he had about half a bottle of red wine. First he took 8 pills, then 4, then 3 all in the span of a few hours, i think his last was like 12 hours ago?
Male | 33
It appears that your boyfriend may have an upset stomach after consuming a large number of multivitamin tablets that contain iron. Black, icky, tar-like poop and abdominal tenderness are indicative of possibly internal bleeding. The situation could have been aggravated considering he ingested Adderall, skipped meals, and drank alcohol. He must seek immediate medical attention.

Female | 21
You've got an upset stomach from that Aciclovir dispersible tablet you took. Tummy aches and weakness can happen with that medicine. It might be irritating your belly. Try eating before taking it to avoid this issue. Drinking lots of water can also help soothe things. But, if the problem persists, definitely let your doctor know about it.

Motions not curing after taking medicine stops motion and again after 5days starting motions
Female | 26
A stomach issue seems the problem. Motions not leaving with treatment, and returning after days, could mean a bug or food poisoning. They bring stomach pain, loose motions, and puking. Drink lots of water for hydration. Eat bland food. If there's no improvement, see a gastroenterologist.

Sir mujhe pichle kuch dino se stomach me gas ,stomach jaldi se saaf nahi hota hai .iske saath hi mujhe face ke right side toothache bhi hota hai kabhi kabhi. Kya mere toothache bhi stomach gas ,stomach problem ki wajay se hai. Please sir suggest me treatment and medicine to cure my stomach problems and toothache.

The symptoms you experience, such as gas in the stomach and toothache, can be related to each other in some cases. For gas, some medications such as simethicone, more fiber-infused foods in your meal, and a proper amount of water, can help ease the symptoms. Your toothache might be due to different reasons, for example, cavity or gum issue, which you have to get checked by a dentist. Do not be afraid to talk with the doctor, who can have a proper treatment and guide you.

Hello. My name is Maria Ijaz. I have epigastric pain since 8 years and have tried everything but nothing ever helps. I’ve got all sort of blood work and radiology work and nothing shows any answers. I’m in dire need of help.
Female | 24
Abnormal pain in that area can be caused by different diseases or conditions, such as digestive diseases, tense situations, or discomforts related to the ingestion. As we saw the former tests couldn't reveal any factors, it would be wise to track the consumed food and the associated symptoms to single out the possible triggers. You should consult a gastroenterologist for proper advice.

I usually have bowel movements once per day. This remains the same yet on Sunday I saw bright red blood on the toilet paper after wiping my bottom. It took several wipes for the blood to clear away. Each wipe had marginally less blood. All in all I wiped away around two tablespoons of bright red blood. I checked my stool and the bright red blood was intermixed with the stool. It stained the inside of the toilet with bright red streaks of blood as it caught the inside edge of the toilet basin. Aside the blood in the stool, there was no other blood pooled at the bottom of the toilet water. This has happened each day since. There is only blood during bowel movement. I don't have constipation and don't need to strain to defecate. The stool is of a normal size, colour and consistency. Neither big nor hard to cause an anal fissure on exit. I have no pain, no constipation, no itchy bottom, no fatigue, no lightheadedness, no fever, no unintended weight loss. I am a man aged 40 with no other health complaints.
Male | 40
It may be because of hemorrhoids or anal fissure. But it is essential to differentiate them from other serious disease such as colorectal cancer. It would be recommended to you to see a gastroenterologist to have a deeper diagnosis and the best treatment plan.

Your signs like high heat, loose poop, and low energy could be from typhoid fever. Typhoid fever is caused by a germ called Salmonella typhi that can be found in dirty food or water. The cure is antibiotics and drinking lots of water. It is important to see a doctor for the right help and cure.

As a medical expert, I would recommend you to make a gastroenterologist consult about your anal fissure scar issue. Over-the-counter creams may not work and could cause other problems. I'm 30 years old whenever i eat shawarma o have to poo before 2 hours and this have been happening constituency don't know what to do
Male | 30
This could be the reason for the spices, oils, or a particular kind of meat you are consuming that is causing digestive problems. Keeping a food diary to learn patterns and observe if other foods also cause this kind of reaction is vital. Increasing the daily water intake and eating less food should help in minimizing discomfort. Nevertheless, recurring problems necessitate contacting a gastroenterologist who can give a complete evaluation and the most relevant advice concerning the problem.

When ever my mother come back from washroom she is having seviour throat pain
Female | 64 years
Your mother appears to be in great distress after the passage of the toilet, which can happen due to the lack of humidity in the air, allergies, or even muscle strain. Make sure she is well-hydrated and the use of a humidifier is the best way to reduce the discomfort in her throat. Some warmth like teas and lozenges can ease pain by calming the throat. Nevertheless, the control of her condition is of prime importance. In the case of the problem's further occurrence, it would be rational to seek help from a gastroenterologist who will carry out a complete examination and give you the necessary guidance on treatment.

I am 38 year old I had mri scan in July 2023 where I discovered small cyst size 11 X 10 mm in my pancreas which I rechecked this year the size slightly increased to 12 x 14 mm is there something to worry please reply.
Female | Anju
A considerable amount of anxiety over the pancreas cyst is something that is natural in this case. Small cysts are mostly non-cancerous and may just need to be monitored. Symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, or weight loss may signal a need for further investigation, but these are not always present. The minor increase in size you indicated can occur, but it’s important to talk to your gastroenterologist about these changes.

I have throat burning sensation since 2 months and not able to take spicy sour food …
Female | 34
You've been feeling a burning sensation in your throat for 2 months, which could be due to acid reflux. This happens when stomach acid comes back up into the food pipe, irritating the throat. It's a good idea to avoid spicy and sour foods for now. Try eating smaller meals, avoid lying down right after eating, and raise the head of your bed slightly. Drinking plenty of water might also help. If the symptoms don't improve, it would be wise to visit a gastroenterologist for further examination and treatment options.

Does jaundice cause excessive urine? If it does occur then why does it occur?
Male | 18
Jaundice occurs when there’s too much of a yellow pigment called bilirubin in your body. This can cause your skin and eyes to turn yellow. Jaundice may also lead to more frequent urination as your body tries to remove the extra bilirubin through urine. If you have jaundice, see your doctor to understand the cause and get the right treatment.
