Gynecologist/Obstetrician
Answered on 12th Aug '24
If you see two lines on a pregnancy urine test—one dark red and the other half red—it almost certainly means you are pregnant. The test detects a specific hormone associated with pregnancy, leading to a positive result. You might also experience symptoms like missed periods, nausea, or tiredness. To confirm your pregnancy, consider taking another test in a few days or visiting a gynecologist for a check-up.

pain in legs muscles specifically sbeofre periods time increase in pain
Female | 41
It seems you may have leg muscle pain before your period. This is common for some people. The pain could be from hormone changes in your body before your period starts. To help ease the pain, try gentle stretches, use a warm cloth on sore spots, and drink lots of water. If the pain gets worse, be sure to tell me at your next visit.

My periods ended on 30th October. I am currently pregnant. I missed my periods on 25th Nov. I had intercourse on 17th Nov. What is the duration of the pregnancy?
Female | 26
Based on your menstrual cycle, you are approximately 4 weeks pregnant. The conception likely occurred around November 17th, the time you had intercourse . It's important to confirm your pregnancy with a medical professional and schedule regular prenatal visits. My period is late for 13days and then i take unwanted 72tablet
Female | 22
If you have concerns about potential pregnancy or irregular periods, consider taking a pregnancy test or consulting with a healthcare professional for personalized advice. Also keep in mind that unwanted 72 is not a regular form of birth control and should only be used as an emergency measure.

I am a 40 year old woman who has strange smelling urine and is worried she may be pregnant, have an STD, UTI or other.
Female | 40
Strange-smelling urine can be caused by dehydration, consuming certain foods or drinks, and urinary tract infections (UTIs). If you are sexually active, it is also recommended to get regular screenings for STIs to prevent and detect infections early.

Hello, I'm MA, have not seen my period for the past 6 months , i just turned 40 in January,2024. I will like to know if there's any medication for me to get my period back. Kind regards
Female | 40
No period for 6 months at age 40 could be coming from menopause. Women have been known to stop having periods during this phase of their life and I think you should look into it with a gynecologist. This deserves to be confirmed by a doctor and any other symptoms you may be experiencing like heat waves or mood swings discussed as well. On the other hand, no medicine can bring back menses once this time has started.

I've had sex and after 3 days periods started and on next month periods are delayed almost about 15 days.
Female | 20
Periods don't always need to be regular. Irregular periods can occur for various reasons, even after sex and ejaculation. Bleeding three days after sex could be implantation bleeding, stress, hormonal imbalances, or even pregnancy. If you are nervous, you can take a pregnancy test. To help regulate your periods, stay healthy, eat well, and manage stress.

I have missed periods for almost 4months is it normal and I'm not pregnant
Female | 20
Many things can cause this - stress, sudden weight gain or loss, hormonal changes, or health issues like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). You might notice bloating, acne, and extra hair growth too. It's wise to see a gynecologist about this.

CONTINUE taking 50 mcg of thyroid medication during pregnancy as TSH levels may fluctuate during pregnancy!! Lowering medication may harm the baby. Consult with your DOCTOR before making any changes.

My girlfriend has had lower back pain during after and before her period. After ovulation, she has a little bleeding with nausea and vomited once, with sneezing and a mild headache. Is it due to hormones?
Female | 20
During her period, your girlfriend might encounter hormonal shifts. Lower back discomfort prior to and throughout her cycle is normal. The bleeding after ovulation could stem from hormonal fluctuations too. Nausea, vomiting, sneezing, and headaches can relate to hormones as well. Ensure she maintains a balanced diet, exercises regularly, and manages stress levels effectively. If symptoms persist or intensify, it's advisable to consult a gynecologist promptly.

If you are not getting your periods on time then do consult the gynecologist. This may be due to different reasons such as stress, hormonal imbalance or underlying medical conditions.

I had sex on April 5th which was on my 9th day of periods and I got periods regular on 25th April .but now my periods was delay , my due date was 23th may and it showing some symptoms like mood swings, frequent urination. Am I pregnant?
Female | 19
You might be pregnant based on what you’ve said. Mood swings and having to pee all the time are both symptoms of pregnancy that can occur very early on. This is because of the hormones in your body changing. The only way to know for sure if you’re pregnant or not is by taking a home pregnancy test. If it comes out positive then you need to see a gynecologist so they can help take care of things properly.

Vagina labia itching and stick out
Female | 19
Irritation might be why you feel itchy "down there." Your underwear's fabric or detergent may bother you. Infections like yeast could also stick out the labia. Cotton undies help air flow better. Use gentle, unscented soap on private parts. If itching persists, ask a doctor. They can check for infection or other causes. A fragrance-free cream eases irritated skin sometimes. But for any big changes, visit a gynecologist.

i am a 20yr old female, i had sex a week and a half ago and he thinks he got my pregnant. we used condoms. i had my period two weeks ago. i am experiencing cramping, nausea, dizziness, and fatigue
Female | 20
Cramps, dizziness, feeling sick and tired are signs of many things, not just being pregnant. So you are less likely to be pregnant if it was only two weeks ago when your last period started and you used condoms. These symptoms could also be brought on by stress, changes in what you eat, or any illness. Anyway ensure that you drink lots of water, eat properly and rest enough. If these symptoms persist consult a gynecologist.

last month i started my periods on 1st march nd they lasted for 5 days i had unprotected sex on 7th march he did not ejaculate sperms inside me and now I’m 5 days late for period what are the chances of pregnancy
Female | 25
Getting pregnant is possible without sperm entering. You could experience missed periods, tiredness, sickness, or sore breasts if you're pregnant. Late periods don't always mean pregnancy, though. Stress and hormone changes can also cause them. If you're worried, take a home pregnancy test to feel better.

Hi I have taken pregnancy tests and they’ve come back negative.. I have irregular periods but within the last week I’ve noticed my boobs have gotten harder, my lower tummy is tender and hard, I’ve had awful mood swings and I’m very emotional, and I’m always hungry
Female | 25
Symptoms you may be experiencing can be due to hormonal changes, which may not be indicative of pregnancy. An irregular period can cause the hormone levels to fluctuate, leading to tender breasts, bloating, and mood swings. Stress, diet, and lack of exercise can also be the reasons why your body is affected this way. Try managing stress, eating healthy, and gentle exercise to help balance your hormones.

I am 20 year old .. I have unprotected sex with my partner..I have taken unwanted 72 within 24 hrs.. i had bleeding after 7 days and it was heavy for first day.. bleeding lasts for 3 days.. Is there is any chance of pregnancy???? Please tell me
Female | 20
Taking an emergency contraceptive pill within 24 hours of unprotected sex can greatly reduce the chance of pregnancy, but it is not 100% effective. So how to know if unwanted 72 has worked? It's the bleeding you experienced which is a common side effect of the pill and is a sign that the pill is working to prevent pregnancy. If you are still concerned, you can take a home pregnancy test to confirm.

Confused about Implantation Bleeding or Menses
Female | 20
Implantation bleeding is a light discharge that is caused when a fertilized egg attaches itself to the wall of the uterus. It usually happens 6-12 days after ovulation and it can be confused with a light period. Nevertheless, noticeable blood loss or very strong pain may indicate a more severe problem. If you have any concern, please visit a gynecologist for a thorough examination.

Improper periods, pimples due to periods, mood swings

These are common symptoms experienced by some women during their menstrual cycle. Hormonal fluctuations during menstruation can lead to irregular periods, skin breakouts, and changes in mood and emotions. Irregular periods are also a cause of pcos. Get a proper evaluation from a gynecologist.
