Maybe these symptoms were caused by a urinary tract infection (UTI). Pain or pressure in the bladder are some of the symptoms and causes of UTIs. An adequate water intake will help your body flush out the bacteria while high-quality cranberry juice will help you prevent and treat urinary infections. Visit a gynecologist if the symptoms persists.

I went to a gynecologist on 11-11-2024. I was not diagnosed with PCOS but doctor told,i might be in earlier stages seeing the irregular period cycle He prescribed 1) norethistrone 10 mg(20 tablet, once a day 2) mefenamic acid 250 mg and tranexamic acid 500 mg (10 tablets, 2 tablets a day I skipped a few dose and had periods on November 20 early morning Then I started medicine on 21 on November again from where I left . But left again on 24 November. (Because at night i was not having periods due to effect of medicine but had heavy bleeding at daytime). Till now I'm on periods and I'm bleeding heavily since 20 November
Female | 24
It seems like you have a lot of bleeding that lasts longer than normal and it's very bad for you. The reasons for the irregular periods and heavy bleeding could be the hormonal imbalance in PCOS. Missing doses of the drugs which were prescribed might have led to the continuous bleeding. The medicine has to be taken on time and in the same way as the doctor has prescribed to control the bleeding. You should discuss with a gynecologist for proper treatment.

Last months Jan 2024 I had unprotected intercourse approx a week before my actual period date, after which I took an SOS contraceptive pill and I got my periods too on 28th Jan. Now this month is about to end and I still haven't got my periods
Female | 23
Taking emergency contraception might delay your period. Stress causes hormonal changes too, affecting your cycle. If nausea or breast tenderness accompanies your missed period, taking a home pregnancy test makes sense. If your period still hasn't arrived, consulting a gynecologist becomes advisable for proper guidance.

Female | 20
Retching, being not hungry, having spasms in the lower abdomen, and a postponed period could be indicative of either stress or hormonal fluctuation. Attempt to breathe softly, eat a little, drink water, and sleep a little. If symptoms persist, consider contacting a gynecologist for more advice.

Having period irregularities after pregnancy is a usual occurrence. Your body requires time to get back into its normal function. Unprotected sex may lead to pregnancy. The earliest symptoms may be a failure to get a period, nausea, and oversight of the usual activities. To ascertain the truth of the situation, use a home pregnancy test.

I am not feeling periods from 5 days. What can be the reason? What should I do
Female | 23
Missing periods for 5 days may seem worrisome, yet there could be various causes. Stress often disrupts menstrual cycles. Rapid weight fluctuations also impact hormones regulating periods. Additionally, hormonal imbalances unrelated to stress or weight can occasionally throw off your cycle. If irregular cycles persist, consult a gynecologist.

Why did affect bilateral polycystic ovaries in body
Female | 27
Bilateral polycystic ovaries mean that your ovaries contain many small fluid-filled sacs. This condition can lead to irregular periods, difficulty getting pregnant, excess hair growth, and acne. It happens when your hormones aren't functioning properly. Eating a balanced diet, staying active, and, in some cases, taking medication can help manage it. It's essential to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice and treatment.

My husband and I had sexual intercourse on January 29th, and after that, we took the iPill tablet. After that, we had sexual intercourse again on February 6th. Then, I got my period on February 8th. So, is there any chance of getting pregnant?
Female | 25
Since you received your period on February 8th following the use of emergency contraception, it's highly unlikely you are pregnant. The period indicates that your body is functioning normally, and it often suggests that ovulation did not occur during that cycle. However, if you have any remaining concerns or experience unusual symptoms, it's wise to consult a gynecologist for personalized advice. They can provide additional guidance and reassurance tailored to your circumstances.

I m 19 year old female.....i had unprotected sex 8 days ago and taken i-pill within 24 hours will it cause any harm to me or...will my periods be delayed....i m not sure...we did used condom but somehow it got loosened and came out...but to clear my doubt i had taken i-pill
Female | 19
Taking the emergency contraceptive pill called i-pill within 24 hours of having sex without protection against pregnancy. If you have a delayed menstrual cycle after using the drug, do not worry it is a usual thing. Nausea, fatigue feelings, and changes in the menstrual period are some common side effects of using this drug. So next time always ensure you are safe by using protection.

I had my menstruation recently (May 25) but yet to ovulate since then. Any cause for alarm? And Can I get pregnant without ovulation?
Female | 27
Hey, Welcome to ClinicSpots! We're here to provide you with the guidance you need regarding your menstrual and ovulation concerns.
It's understandable to be worried about the delay in ovulation since your last menstruation on May 25. Delayed ovulation can be caused by several factors, including stress, changes in weight, excessive exercise, or underlying medical conditions. It’s essential to monitor your cycle and consult a healthcare provider if irregularities persist. Pregnancy cannot occur without ovulation, as ovulation is the release of an egg necessary for fertilization. If ovulation is absent, conception is not possible.
Next Steps to Follow:
1. Maintain a menstrual calendar to track your cycle and any symptoms.
2. Schedule a consultation with your gynecologist to discuss your concerns and possibly conduct a hormonal evaluation.
3. Consider lifestyle modifications such as reducing stress, maintaining a balanced diet, and regular exercise to promote regular ovulation.
4. Avoid self-medicating with supplements or hormones without professional guidance.

Am 40 weeks pg,on saturday I saw discharge with a drop of blood then later had strong braxton hicks until around 1am which disappeared until yesterday 4pm, I've seen brownish little discharge from time to time since then with little cramping, am I okay
Female | 27
Maybe you’re having some symptoms that suggest your body might be getting prepared for delivery. The blood drop could occur because your cervix is beginning to open. A brownish discharge along with cramps are normal as well since this means that your body is readying itself for birth. Make sure you rest, drink plenty of water, and watch the cramps. If you start feeling worried or cramping gets worse don’t hesitate to contact a gynecologist.

Thank you for your question regarding the fibroids. These growths are common and can cause symptoms like heavy periods or pelvic discomfort, but many women remain symptom-free. The size and symptoms often guide the decision for treatment. If these fibroids lead to significant discomfort or complications, surgical options may be beneficial. However, it’s crucial to discuss your specific situation with a gynecologist who can evaluate your health and determine the best course of action.

Female | 27
Vaginal discharge during sex is a common concern and sometimes it is due to changes in hormone levels, which are part of the body's natural processes. A lack of vaginal protection means discharges can also result in fertility concerns. If you still want solutions, closely monitor your cycle and confer any symptoms with your gynecologist. They may need to check out you through a series of evaluations and prescribe the right course of action after the diagnosis of the cause of the issue.
