Answered on 2nd Aug '24
Your symptoms suggest appendicitis - an inflamed appendix. Pain starts sharply near the navel, then shifts to the lower right abdomen. Fever, nausea, vomiting often occur too. Act quickly! Appendicitis needs urgent hospital treatment, maybe surgery. Delaying risks major complications. Head to the ER without delay if these signs match your condition.

i am having black hard stool after every two days ..and it causes pain in my anal area
Female | 26
When you're having trouble pooping, it could be constipation. Your poop is dark and dry. Pooping is painful. This happens if your poop is moving too slowly through your body. You may not be drinking enough liquid. Or eating enough fiber. Drink more water. Eat fruits and veggies to help soften your poop. Talk to a gastroenterologist if this problem continues after trying to fix it yourself.

Female | 19
You are likely enduring some digestive issues. The cramps in your lower abdomen, which transfer from right to left, and even to the back, as well as the mucus and blood in the poop and fatigue, can be signals pointing to the fact that your gastrointestinal system may be out of balance. Such symptoms may appear in conditions like Crohn's disease or an infection. It's crucial to undergo a thorough physical examination with a gastroenterologist who can identify the cause and provide the treatment.

Iam 38 year old male iam consuming ibrufen 400 mg ofloxacin 200 mg amlodine 5 mg shall I take alcohol after how many hours of gap
Male | 38
Avoiding the interaction of alcohol with these medications is essential. The risk of a stomach bleed and low blood pressure can be amplified by alcohol when taken with ibuprofen and amlodipine, whilst dizziness and drowsiness can worsen with ofloxacin and alcohol. It is wiser to refrain from alcohol for at least 24 hours after your last dose to ensure there are no harmful interactions.

My mother got a red stool tonight and this has happened 3 times . One when she ate beetroot but now today she have had nothing red but git a red stool. Her blood reports are normal but she lacks blood like its only 7 grams , and lacks rbcs . Whats the matter?
Female | 40
While beetroot can cause reddish stool, other potential reasons include bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, which may not always be visible. Given her low hemoglobin and red blood cell count, it's essential to involve a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation. They can investigate further, possibly through tests or imaging, to identify the cause. Regular medical follow-ups can help monitor her condition and ensure she receives appropriate care.

Suffering from Piles for last few years, pain has now increased
Female | 26
It's important to address your discomfort. Symptoms such as swelling, bleeding, and increased pain often indicate inflamed veins in the rectal area. Common causes include straining during bowel movements, prolonged sitting, and inadequate fiber intake. To alleviate symptoms, consider increasing dietary fiber, staying hydrated, and engaging in regular exercise. Over-the-counter creams and warm baths may also help. However, given the worsening pain, I encourage you to consult a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation. They can provide tailored advice and discuss potential treatments to ensure your comfort and well-being.

It sounds like you're experiencing discomfort with gas and bloating, which can be frustrating. These symptoms often arise from dietary factors, stress, or changes in routine, especially during travel. To help manage this, consider keeping a food diary to identify triggers and try smaller, more frequent meals. Staying hydrated and incorporating gentle exercise may also be beneficial. It's essential to practice relaxation techniques, as stress can exacerbate symptoms. If your discomfort persists or worsens, I recommend reaching out to a gastroenterologist for further guidance and to explore tailored solutions.

I face stomach pain like warmth
Female | 22
A stomachache that feels warm can be a symptom of an underlying condition that may arise from food or drink. Spicy things, overdoing it, or issues with stomach acid can trigger that. Besides, other symptoms such as bloating or discomfort may occur. Drinking lots of water and avoiding foods that trigger them are the best strategies to alleviate the pain. If the pain persists or worsen, it is better to go to the gastroenterologist.

Hi I am a 21 year old female who has been travelling in Europe for 1 months. I have been having diarrhoea for the past week on and off and have been taking anti diarrhoea tablets. These block me up and cause stomach cramps. What would you recommend? Thank you
Female | 21
From what you've been saying, the diagnosis could be you having traveler's diarrhea, a typical thing when exposed to new places. Anti-diarrhea pills can make things worse by stopping your body from getting rid of the bad stuff that causes stomach cramps. It is best to replenish your fluids by drinking clean water and consuming sports drinks or oral rehydration solutions that contain electrolytes. Stick to the basics, bland foods like rice, bananas, and toast for a while until things settle down. If your symptoms persist, consult your physician for medical advice.
