Can Fissure in Anus Cause Pain at 40?
I m 40 years old. I m suffering from fissure in anus. It gives me pain
Surgical Gastroenterologist
Answered on 27th May '24
Fissures are little rips in the skin around the anus. Passing hard stools, diarrhea, or inflammatory bowel disease can cause them. To heal the fissure, drink plenty of water, eat foods high in fiber, and use stool softeners. You might need creams or ointments too so that it does not hurt as much and heals faster.

my stomach hurts it has been hurting for a couple days now. It is a sharp stabbing pain.
Female | 19
Greetings! Stomach discomfort, I understand your concern. Sharp, stabbing aches lasting days might indicate various causes. Perhaps food disagreed with your system or an infection is present. Staying hydrated and consuming mild, simple meals could provide relief. However, if pain persists or intensifies, visiting a gastroenterologist would be prudent.

I have been pooping for about 2 weeks, yellow and sludge like stool. As soon as I eat, I feel the urge to poop. This started after I ate canned food from the store which was spicy. I previously know my stomach does not allow for spicy food without negative reaction, but this feels extreme. I had iron deficiency before, I took tablets and it normalised. My scalp hair growth has slowed, losing weight. I have not added a lot of vegetables to my diet.
Male | 27
You possibly have gastritis, an inflamed stomach lining. Eating spicy or canned foods worsens it. Yellow, sludge-like stools signal this condition. Frequent urges to poop after meals are common symptoms. Iron deficiency may be linked to it as well. Try cutting spicy foods, eating more veggies, and drinking lots of water. Consult a gastroenterologist if issues persist.

Dehiscence stomach wound almost closed but bleeding a little is that ok, wearing eakin wound pouch
Female | 52
The stomach wound seems unhealed, and some bleeding persists. The reason is that the wound hasn't fully closed. It's good that you are using a wound pouch. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry, and apply gentle pressure to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding continues, contact your gastroenterologist.

My mother. Aged. 71. She is suffering from motions.
Female | 71
When someone has the motions, it means she might be passing a lot of stools or watery ones. It could come from a tummy bug or, maybe, something she ate. The best thing to do is to get her to drink lots of water to replace the fluids she has lost and to eat bland foods like rice or bananas to calm down her stomach. If it continues to be the same, a gastroenterologist can be of assistance.

I am 49 I am getting stomach pain because of eating nuts
Male | 49
This might be a condition called gastritis. The nuts you eat can irritate your stomach lining and cause you discomfort. Typical signs of gastritis are pain in the upper abdomen, bloating, and nausea. To ease the pain, try avoiding nuts for a while and eating easily digestible foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. In addition, water intake can also be soothing. If the pain continues, it would be better to consult a gastroenterologist.

Sgpt and sgot calcium and b12 problem
Male | 26
SGPT and SGOT are liver enzymes that can indicate liver health, while calcium and B12 levels are essential for overall health. It's important to consult a gastroenterologist for SGPT and SGOT concerns, and a physician or endocrinologist for calcium and B12 issues. They can assess your levels, determine any underlying conditions, and recommend appropriate treatments or dietary adjustments.

I am a 18 year old female I have gerd and every morning I've been puking and I wanna know how I can get it to stop?
Female | 18
GERD, short for gastroesophageal reflux disease, can bring on such symptoms as morning sickness and the desire to vomit. This occurs when stomach acid returns to the esophagus. To bring down this, you can eat smaller meals, avoid spicy or acidic foods, don't lie down right after eating, and raise the head of your bed. These calming measures can assist you in decreasing your complaints and make you feel better.

This should not pose a problem when trying to conceive after gallbladder removal. In terms of your menstrual cycle, recovery time is different for all and can take a few weeks to several months. If you want to know more about this, see an obstetrician/gynecologist.

Female | 52
The burning sensation in your stomach, the non-stop burping, and the bloated feeling can all be a consequence of acidity. It is a medical condition where the stomach is producing more acid than usual. Eating too much spicy food, stress, and not eating regular meals can bring this to you. To make you feel better start with a smaller portion of food avoid spicy meal, and stay calm. By drinking milk or using antacids you can also get some relief from the pain.

You would want to consult a general physician or a primary care doctor for the symptoms you mentioned. They'll conduct an initial assessment, ask about your medical history, perform a physical examination, and may order some tests if necessary to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms.
Based on their evaluation, the primary care doctor may refer you to a gastroenterologist if they suspect a specific gastrointestinal condition or if further specialized care is required.

I have urine infection and stomach ulcer. I take urine culture it have e-coli infection. I have take antibiotics its not cured. Urine infection is related to stomach ulcer?
Female | 28
You have a urine infection caused by E. coli bacteria, along with a stomach ulcer. While these conditions aren’t directly related, they can be linked to poor hygiene or not drinking enough water. You may feel burning or pain while urinating due to the infection, and stomach pain from the ulcer. If antibiotics aren’t working for the infection, your doctor may prescribe a different one. You'll also need medication for the ulcer. Make sure to drink plenty of water and follow advice from a gastroenterologist to recover from both conditions.

I have pain in my upper stomach
Male | 36
Upper stomach pain may be attributed to a wide range of causes. Indigestion, acid reflux, or even a stomach ulcer could be the reason for this. However, in other cases, eating spicy or fat-rich foods is a cause of such diseases. It is not only necessary to keep track of your diet but also to try to stay away from foods that cause pain. Drinking copious amounts of water and consuming smaller, more frequent meals are also two good ways to lessen the inconvenience. If the problem remains or is more painful, it is necessary to visit a gastroenterologist.
