Knee replacement surgery is major surgery and you will not be able to run for at least 6-8 weeks after the surgery. You will need to start with physical therapy to help you regain range of motion and strength in your leg. Once you are able to walk without pain and have good range of motion, you may be able to start running again.

Total Knee replacement is usually done for elderly patients who are not able to walk because of pain.  This surgery is aimed at better quality of life. Running Depends on the patient age and their overall fitness

I am a physiotherapist and I had deal with post tkr patients it is usually need replacements are done for the patients above 50 years of age because the life span of joint replacement last from 10 to 15 years so it all depends upon how accurately you use the artificial joint to accomplish your ideal activities so I would suggest running after total replacement is not much recommended as as it increase the wear and tear of the cushioning between the two implants

Sir I am 23 I have grade 2 acl tear, sir its already been 3 months now sir pls guide me on how can I heal my ACL tear naturally, should I go for prp or stem cell therapy?

Male | 23

When you have an ACL tear, it is because the ligament in your knee is overextended. In addition to resting and doing some light exercises, you should ice your knee. Although PRP or stem cell therapy could be useful for a speedy recovery, consulting with your healthcare provider on these treatments is the best way to determine the optimal care for your case.

What is excision soft tissue tumor

Male | 52

Soft tissue tumors are small growths that can form in muscles, tendons, or other tissues. You might feel a lump under your skin, but why they appear is often unknown. Fortunately, most of these tumors are not cancerous. If removal is needed, doctors typically perform excision surgery, where they cut out the tumor.

My left leg is paining a lot. Not even able to walk. Upper thighs, calf and ankle.

Male | 49

If the leg pain is so severe that affects walking then get it checked by an orthopedist as it could indicate a serious medical condition. Possible causes can be muscle strain, deep vein thrombosis, or nerve problems.

I have back ake at my teenage 14

Female | 14

It’s common to experience back pain in your age group because of several factors. It may be due to rapid growth or carrying a heavy backpack. Some indications for this condition may include tenderness, rigidity, or uneasiness. To solve this problem, don’t carry heavy bags and do exercises that will tighten your muscles. Also, be mindful of how you sit or stand. If the discomfort persists then it would be wise to inform an adult about it.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by my doctor as no other condition fits the symptoms. However I don’t believe it is correct as my pain areas are constant and not sore to touch. When I touch the pain area the pain is relieved. I have pain around my forehead, neck, traps on both sides. Then on the right side my lat, glute, hamstring and calf. I am fatigued all the time, muscles are either tensed or not activating. I’ve had this same pain every waking hour for 6 years. Does anyone know what this condition actually is?

Male | 31

According to the symptoms that you have mentioned, the most likely diagnosis to your muscle pain and fatigue is Myofascial Pain Syndrome. Which produces muscle pain and tenderness, similar to fibromyalgia, is among the symptoms of this condition. Muscles' trigger point gets developed, causing pain in different areas due to the compression against the nerves. The muscle would then become loosened up or weaker. The key features of this disorder include physical therapy sessions, injections of trigger point pressure, and a certain kind of drug guidance to manage stress.

I am suffering leg pain including knee due to my old age 63 , best possible treatment for relief. Please guide

Female | 63

As a medical expert, I suggest that you go to an orthopedist to examine your knee and leg. It is not unusual fat this age group to be hit by joint wear and tear. A orthopedic doctor will diagnose the actual reason for the pain, and will propose the most appropriate treatment, which may range from medications, physical therapy and surgery if needed.

I got my acl and mcl surgery 4 weeks ago and now I walk without any support or knee brace it is safe or not ?? And today at bending my knee I hear a cracking sound it is possible of break the repaired acl

Male | 24

A cracking sound heard during knee flexion may raise a red flag. It might be caused by the rupture of scar tissue or movement of the joint. However, don't be frightened. Initially, it is not likely that the repaired ACL has been torn again. Still, though, for your good, stay away from practices that hurt or cause any discomfort. Keep being careful, and maybe set up a visit with your surgeon to check that everything is okay.
